I'm confused and I don't know how to rate this book.
At the beginning I was afraid that this story might be similar to Kaidan’s story. But no, it’s not. Kaidan and Devon are living the same life, but they see it in very different ways.

It’s Davon and Olivia story. Devon is a very mysterious and I don't understand him. Whether it is a player or or anyone who has something to hide.
Olivia has not had the easy past and she struggles with that.

Orchids. “Each one is so extraordinary it stands beautifully all by itself.”

There was so little to read, that there would be some sort of picture of these characters. I'd like to something more ...

Mixed feelings about this book. I started out excited, then OMFG-HE'S-SO-HOT then irritated, then angry, then major swoooooooooooning, then pissed off and then ending happily satisfied. I enjoy the ending very much, made me giggle like a little girl. Heheh



I'll be honest, I wasn't fond Olivia throughout most of the book, She had her reasons but it just went too far. It made her stubborn and ignorant.. That gets solved so thank god.
Devon sees everything about Olivia that she doesn't see herself; the relationship between them two made me feel all fuzzy inside. Plus, who wouldn't want the bad boy brother of the Stone brothers? Olivia it seems. LOL

Lately I lose interest when it's lust at first sight. I don't kind a few comments here and there about them being attractive, but otherwise.... Although it wasn't that strong in here, I still couldn't connect with the characters for some reason. Anyways, disappointment, blah blah. Next book.

I got this one as part of the Red Hot Lovers Boxed set that I've been reading through book by book. I have to admit upfront that I only mildly intrigued by the blurb, but thought I'd give it a try since books have surprised me before and hooked me in.

Sadly, this was not one of them.
I DNF'd at chapter 8 when I just could not drum up any interest for the characters or the story line. I feel a little guilty because the heroine is struggling with mental health issues in which she is fixated on scheduling and being on time because she was late to pick up her brother at school and he died during that time so she blames herself. But her insta-drool and supremely awkward fixation moments over a guy who barely noticed her were just painful. And I honestly wasn't interested once things started getting laid out for this story- characters, plot, monologue and dialogues.

The story opens with Olivia getting ready for a job interview in full freak out mode needing her roommate to help her dress. She can't string two words together or focus her mind. She is a nervous wreck, but that wasn't so bad until the scene changes and she's ends up at a Hollywood mansion for her interview and this totally freaks her out- forget the fact that if she gets her job she'll be seeing a lot of this sort of thing. Olivia's never worked more than a backyard grad party as an intern who picked up the trash and rolled plastic ware and yet she tries to bluff with the event planner that's she's an old pro and sadly he sees right through her lies and is abrupt with her. She can't figure out why she didn't get immediately hired as a premiere Hollywood event planner's assistant to work 'A' List parties for the elite. Then, Devon, the hero and son of the man hosting the party with the planning company she is interviewing for comes along to see her crying after she was rejected. He insists the guy in charge hire her or he'll lose his own job as some sort of 'in your face' to his dad and makes a pass at her before telling her he only used her to make his dad mad because he's pretty sure she'll fail and mess up his dad's party. He's hot so naturally this rude brush off makes her all fluttery and she can't get him out of her thoughts like he's some knight in shining armor.

After reading her inner monologue and lusting over a rude guy she briefly met for several chapters, I just couldn't. Not for me. Maybe it settles in later, but I'm going to let this one go and move on.

New Book Boyfriend Alert!!! If you are looking for a new bad boy, then Devon is for you. I liked this story very much. The book started a little slow for me at first, but after it got started I was hooked. I really liked the story line and can't wait to see where this story takes me.

Olivia and Devon's story is just really starting in this book. Olivia is a shy girl who has been scarred from past relationships and is not looking for a guy until she meets Devon. She knows that Devon can't be good for her, but sparks fly and she can't get him out of her head. Maddie is Olivia's best friend and I loved her in the story, she had me laughing out loud. Maddie is someone that I would want in my corner.

If you are looking for a good short read with a really HOT book boyfriend, then you do not want to pass this one by. Can't wait to get my hands on the next book in this series.

This one didn't really do anything for me. I found it hard to relate to the characters, and follow the plot line. I did a lot more skimming than actually reading it and almost DNF, but I really hate to do that so I stuck it out. I don't know it was okay,and had potential to be good. The drama and intrigue of the rich and famous and the secrets they keep. Then factor in a neurotic, guilt ridden middle class girl and her friend into the mix and you could have one hell of a story if done right. Sadly I felt this one was lacking.

Olivia needs a joy so she on her way to interview. When she get to the interview she is shocked it’s at a mansion not at a office. Before she goes in she takes a minute to calm down and that is when she meets Devon the son of the owner of the place and right away he makes improper advances but she doesn’t take him up on it. But after a bad interview witch she doesn’t get the job Devon makes sure she does and that started their strange friendship. But they just can’t resist becoming more but they are still trying to find out what. So enjoy the read and don’t forget their is more in the series !!

Olivia is just looking for a job, and when a pompous interview at some golden mansion goes bad, it sinks her to a whole new low. I loved how Devon intervened and showed that arrogant ass who was in charge.

Devon Stone: so confident, bold, authoritative, and sexy as hell. “You work for me and now she works for you.” Oh, yeah!

Now Olivia must work for Mr. Devon Stone, who has a reputation for being a “bad boy” in the media. But it seems that there’s more to Devon Stone than meets the eye.

Amazing start to Devon's story

"Devon and Kaidan Stone aren't your ordinary twin brothers. These hunky bachelors have stories to tell, and it's the women in their lives that'll uncover who they truly are. Olivia Margot is too responsible to hook up with a bad boy like Devon, but maybe he's the exact sort of trouble she needs."

In this first book, we meet Olivia and her roommate, Maddie. Olivia, a recent college graduate with a degree in Hospitality, is trying to get dressed for a job interview with a party planner. Olivia is broke and living off of Maddie's generosity until she can find a job. She is a self professed failure at style and has to depend on Maddie to help her find an appropriate outfit for her interview. Maddie is more concerned about Olivia getting a date than a job, since she has been single for over a year now.

We learn that Olivia has some serious problems, for which she sees a therapist, all stemming from the death of her brother when they were teenagers. Now, Olivia is obsessed with setting alarms and reminders for her alarms. She is flummoxed when she gets to the location for the interview and noting that she has several minutes before her next alarm goes off, she walks around to the back of the house to get a view of the Pacific Ocean and ends up running into a gorgeous man, who walks with her back to the house. When she meets the party planner, who is working out of the Stone's home, he is a pompous snob and basically ends up telling her she isn't good enough to be his assistant. However, the man that she was talking to outside steps in and tells the party planner to hire her or else, which is when she learns his name is Devon.

During the week of preparations for the coming party, Olivia watches as Devon spies on his Father and tries to get into locked drawers. They end up playing off each other and the chemistry is definitely there. We also see Kaidan toward the end of this book, when the party is in full swing and Calvin (their father) steps down and names Kaidan the new President of Stone Records. There is some animosity from Devon, even though he knew this was coming, and his speech is very disgruntled. I look forward to finding out more about him and his side of things and what happens with him and Olivia.

Most of this book is from Olivia's POV, but I'm hoping we get to see more from Devon's POV. This is a serial, so if you prefer to have all parts available before you start a series, you might want to wait until all of the books have been released, but I would definitely recommend this series. There will be approximately 8 books all together (subject to change) - 4 from Mira and 4 from Nova. I'm looking forward to the next book in this story.

A great start to The Lust List: Devon Stone serial.

First I have to disclose that I really don’t care for serial books – BUT – I knew this was a *serial when I agreed, no actually asked, to review this one. I’ve been reviewing Nova Raines The Lust List: Kaidan Stone serial. I really like them so I wanted to read and review the parallel story about Devon. One thing about these two parallel serials that I do like is the fact that we know up front how many “episodes” there will be.

First Taste caught my attention from the very beginning and I couldn’t put it down. Olivia is out of work and needs a job quickly so she can stop mooching off of her best friend/roommate. She has a job interview for an assistant to a party planner. She doesn’t know that the interview will be at the home/mansion of Calvin Stone who is the host of an upcoming party. When she arrives for the interview she is blown away by the mansion and surrounding grounds. She wanders around a bit lost and meets a man who she later finds out is Devon Stone.

The rest of this story is about Olivia and Devon getting to know each other (with a bit of other drama about the party planning). Olivia has never heard of him, or The Lust List, until her roommate fills her in. Devon has done some really stupid things in his past and when Olivia finds out she’s not sure she wants to be around him any longer.

Like I said earlier, this story really caught my attention from the beginning and I can’t wait for the next one in this serial. Great job, Mira!

*You might wonder why I use the word serial and not series. To me there is a big difference. Books in a series usually do not have cliffhangers. Rather, they are independent stories with connected characters. Reading a series from the beginning is usually more rewarding, at least to me, but you can read the books in any order, or only one of them, and still enjoy them without feeling like you missed anything really significant. Serials, on the other hand, should – no make that MUST – be read in order or you won’t know the whole story. I usually prefer to read serials after all of the episodes have been published.

I got this book from Mira Bailee for a honest review of the books. So, here it is.
When I saw the cover, my first thoughts were: oh well,today we're reading a smutty novel..just a guy and a girl going at it and..book finished.
damn, was I in for a surprise...
She, Olivia, is a shy girl, haunted by scars of the past. In order to deal with these scars, she develops what sounds to me like some sort of mild OCD..she needs little reassurances to cope with life.
When she goes on an interview for a job as an event manager with an ass of a boss, she gets saved by a gorgeous man.. Devon. He lands her the job, but does he have other ideas about their relationship than strictly business? It wouldn’t be fair to reveal too much about the book at this point, all I can say is that it’s worth checking out.
Devon, on the other hand, is a charmer. A bad boy with an attitude. According to his family a lost cause. 3th on The Lust List of a magazine.. a back-up in case something happens to the firstborn son.
Was it an emotional journey? Yep, sometimes it was, sometimes it was just pure fun and laughter… Devon can be such a charmer when he wants to, can be an ass as well (but hey, he’s a guy, so no surprise there ;-) ). I got the feeling that he is genuinely interested in Olivia, although she doesn’t want to admit it to herself in the first place as she was burned by a former relationship and doesn’t trust easily. I really hope she will have the courage to look past the bad boy façade he puts on for the world to see, and find the real man inside.
Is it already on the same page as some of my favorite books (This Man (J.E.M) or Peaches (Mimi Strong)? No, not yet anyway.. but I have a feeling that dear Miss Bailee certainly knows what she’s writing. She has created an atmosphere, and damn, but I want more…
I’m giving the book a 4 * review, and I’m hoping that it will go on to a 5 as the series continue – which I am almost certain she will accomplish. I’m already a fan of the Lust List, and off course of Olivia and Devon.

OMG YOU HAVE TO READ THIS HOT BOOK!! Ms Bailee has out done herself with this one!! YOU HAVE TO GET YOUR COPY OF IT AND JOIN THE LUST LIST!!
She has a way with writing that makes her characters jump right off the page and come to life. This story is about a young women who is trying to over come an obsession of always using alarms on her phone to make sure she is is not late for anything. She is so hooked that she has an alarm for everything! It all started from her arriving late home one day and finding her brother had been murder. She thinks if she had been on time he would be alive. Olivia goes on a job interview and at first she is told that she doesn't have the job but then the man's boss comes in an hires her anyway. So now she is working as a party planner for the family. Even though the man she is suppose to be assisting doesn't want her working for him. But bad boy Devon Stone sure does. He likes her - there is something different about Olivia -fresh an new. That is drawing her to him.He wants to get to know her. Olivia is working for his family -planning a party for his father . As the Senior Mr Stone is going to announce his retirement.During the course of the planning they start ti get to know each other Olivia keeps running from him telling him that it will not work out between them as they come from different worlds, Devon says it will. But will she give them a chance at love ?? This book is a must read by all!! It is the first book in the series by Ms Bailee. And I so look forward to reading more of her wonderful books and more of Stone brother's- Devon & Kaiden. I recommend this book for everyone. I was very kindly given a copy of First Taste to review.

Having previously just finished reading One Condition I started First Taste under the worrying feeling that the story lines would be too similar for me to be able to tell them apart and that the characters in both books would be horrendous clones of each other. Wow was that totally the wrong misgiving to hold to this book. Our two main characters Olivia and Devon have enough depth and mystery about them to make this an absolutely thrilling opening book to this new serial.

Olivia is the broken heroine of our story and although her haunting past is touched upon we don’t get the whole back story as to why she is the way she is. None the less she is very easy to fall in love with and very easy to see the sheer vulnerability someone can have when they’ve had such a traumatic past event.

Devon is the black sheep of the Stone family and has an awfully strained relationship with his brother and father and I’m looking forward to finding out more of what happened to make that so in future books. He also seems to have a whole array of skeletons in his closet and I’m not even sure we’ve heard the whole of them yet. Devon does however seem to have an amazing capacity to love and adore Olivia and his determination to get to know her and all of her baggage no matter how much she might push him away comes across as honest and heart warming.

I can’t wait for book two of this series to find out where their story goes to and to hopefully begin to get some of the answers to both their pasts. This is a very promising start and I hope that it continues to grow the story of Olivia and Devon and their relationship with as much love and emotion as First Taste contains.

I enjoyed reading this book. It was a fast, fun and sexy read. I have to say that, as of right now, Devon Stone is my favorite Stone brother (sorry Nova Raines :-) ). Devon’s moods sure put Olivia’s head (and heart) on a roller coaster ride (and mine too damn it!). But a lot of this is explained in the book once you read it (and you’ll want to read it).

Olivia is someone who has had a tragic even in her past that has been difficult for her to deal with (which is completely understandable). Olivia is a very likable character and I love how she is portrayed in this book. Even her roommate/best friend Maddie is someone you want in your corner. And Devon, he’s one bad boy to help pull Olivia out of her comfort zone (and can you say yum!)

I loved the ending of the book. There was also one situation right before the end, that if I could, I would have totally high-fived Olivia. I really look forward to reading more about Olivia and Devon in the next book that is coming out.

This book was written in first person point of view, solely of Olivia’s. It was well written and I felt that it flowed well. I do hope to read Devon’s point of view in the future books so I can figure out what that man is thinking lol (I’m sure it’s naughty thoughts). I also look forward to more interaction between Devon's story and Kaiden's story as they develop.

Well, well, well, now we have Devon's story. I don't know if it is because I read "Kaidan's story" first that I'm unbiased probably because I prefer a little more angst and a jerkish hero. Nonetheless, I liked it a lot. I want to know more about Olivia and her personal baggage and I want to know the story between the twins, what happened to make their relationship so strained? I loved Devon he seems very sweet towards Olivia and even when I hated Olivia a teeny tiny bit and I wished a little more drama, I enjoyed it as introductory book. I can't wait to know deeper all the characters and to see how it's going to develop everything.
The only thing I'm missing is Devon's POV, I want the boys POV.
Overall, I found it slower than "One Condition" but I liked the fact that the books are different; not only the girls are very different (Hayley and Olivia) but the boys are different too (Kaidan and Devon) and I really appreciate that, and did I mention hot twins? I mean, we all know there's no way that anything with hot twins in it could go wrong! Because let me tell you, I know I haven't ranted about how gorgeous Devon is, but he is!
Now I'm counting the days to read the second part.

This is the first book in a new serial about Olivia and Devon. Devon is one of the world's sexiest bachelors and the black sheep of the Stone (Record Label mogul) family, having enjoyed the high life of fame and fortune. Olivia is the exact opposite struggling to get by every day and trying to cope with a traumatic incident in her past. They come into each others lives when Olivia goes for a job interview at the Stone residence.

The story in this book predominately deals with Olivia and Devon and the whole will they wont they and to be honest there was not much else plot development for me to really get invested in the story and I found it a little bit repetitive. That being said, I went into the read knowing that this was a serial and that I would likely be left with a lot of questions.

I really liked Olivia and Devon and found them to more be more than likeable characters which was certainly a big surprise as far as Devon was concerned. The book is well written and I'm looking forward to seeing where their story will go and I will happily be continuing with the serial.

I have read a few romance novels over the years, and usually find them to be shallow and trashy. Little in the way of plot; characters tend to fall flat. They are to women what internet porn is to men. Not so with First Taste.

Ms. Bailee has given us a fun, intriguing story of unlikely romance between the 3rd most lust-worthy hunk in Hollywood, and an ordinary every-girl. Olivia is awkward and somewhat broken, struggling to find her way in life with her far-too-gorgeous roommate Mattie. Devon is unbelievably hot, damaged in is own way, looking for a way out of a life most can only dream of being be part of. He can have any woman he wants, and he wants Olivia!

Fist Taste gives us what so many other novels in the romance section do not: someone to root for. I identified with the character Olivia on many levels (she twists her ankle getting out of the car in heels, as I have done oh-so many times). Devon, while a play-boy celebrity, is likable and real. Yes, there is that steamy sex-scene, but it is presented very tastefully, and honestly left me wanting more (much like our heros).

Congratulations to Mira Bailee on a debut well-done! I cannot wait to read more.

I managed to finish this one.... probably because it was short enough to finish in one sitting and if it hadn't been .... well, I probably would not have finished it.

Really, this book (and another I have just finished or DNF actually) should be written from the male POV because, at least then, I might believe all the brain in the nether regions. Don't get me wrong, I get women thinking guys are hot but page after page after page of some women thinking with her vagina just makes me roll my eyes and shake my head. This woman (whose name I cannot recall) is getting nowhere career wise and I know why! Why she even bothered with a career is beyond me because all I hear is how her body parts act every time she is at work, when encountering some hot guy. And I am not talking about her brain! Stop pretending to have a storyline and just write a porno about two people having sex because they're hot ok?

I wanted to slap the female and I couldn't have cared less about the hot dude.

This book is not a standalone and to find out what happens to these two hot people you have to get the next book.

I won't be.

After reading I was a little nervous to see where First Taste would end up. It was the total opposite, which I LOVED!!! In some aspects I enjoyed this more than Kaiden's story, I think partially due to Devon being highly likable and charming. There is defiantly something up with this family though and am very intrigued to find out. I have some theories...

I enjoyed Olivia, though it frustrated me on some of the reactions she had with Devon...give him some credit, he grew up in a high profile life and constantly surrounded by vultures. Some of his past should not have made Oliva act so strongly against. But then again what is going on with Olivia to have her be so guarded and controlled?


Thankfully the end made me happy and actually surprised me a little...Excited to read the next book in this series!

When she goes to an interview for a job as an assistant, she meets a handsome guy that she would like to know better. When she doesn't get the job, the handsome guy steps up and makes the mean/rude man that interviewed her hire her. Now she has a job and a handsome man that she owes her thanks to. When she finds out that Devon, the handsome man, is a playboy and his emotions swing from cold to angry in a split second. He is in all the tabloids and she knows that she should stay away from him. But she wants more with him but her mind is holding her back, she over-thinks everything. Will Devon see that she is not like the other girls he has dated? can Devon show her that he can change? This is a first for me from Mira Bailee and I loved it. Who wouldn't love a set of twins that are handsome beyond belief.

First Taste by Mira Bailee was a fun read. Olivia is totally neurotic when it comes to anything doing with time and Devon just blows hot and cold. They come from totally different backgrounds but cannot seem to keep their attraction for each other at bay.
This story reminds me of high school with wondering “does he like me, does he even know who I am”. The fun part is watching how they seem to just fit together despite their differences. I look forward to reading the rest of the series because now I just have to know how bumpy of a ride their relationship is going to be.
I give this book 4 stars. To me, it was well worth the time to read. One of the few, rare, romance books where there was no hardcore sex right off the bat. The buildup makes it that more interesting.

Ugh, Devon was totally dreamy. I just loved him. I don't know which brother I like better. Him or Kaidan? That is the question.
Overall I loved this book. It was really good, and well written. I could really relate with Hayley in some ways. I have anxiety problems too, and when she would become anxious I could really feel for her. Although I'm not as bad as her.
I would totally recommend it is such a fun read and I could not stop smiling and laughing. You need to read this book, and One Condition by Nova Raines. The series is written by two different authors. Kaidan's series is by Nova Raines and Devon's is by Mira Bailee.
Now buy it and read it my good people!

Be still my beating heart! the lust list is a series of books about twin brothers Kaidan and Devon. kaidan's story was the first I read, I was hooked and a little in love so no question about it I had to read Devon's story, now I'm torn, which brother do I choose ???
Devon is a rich bad boy that the press love to catch in scandalous situations but he appears to have a softer slightly insecure side in private or at least with Olivia and Olivia is a long way from Devon's world and struggling to cope with her own issues stemming from the death of her brother, opposites attract and the heat is obvious but can they over come their demons and make it work ? or will their individual issues prove to great and tear them apart ?
I'm looking forward to finding out.

Love this one!! Devon Stone is definitely my favorite Stone brother. While Devon and Kaiden may be twins, they definitely approach life differently. Devon is the bad boy and appears to want nothing to do with the business. When he meets shy, reserved, and slightly OCD Olivia he is immediately interested but convincing Olivia to give them a chance proves a bit difficult. Olivia can't understand what a guy like Devon Stone would want with her nor does she feel she can handle the life he deals with. Their story is just getting started and I can't wait to watch it develop! I highly recommend!!

OMG!!!!!! This book was soooo good!!!! First of all, I LOVED Devon, but I mean how could you not? And Olivia was a really sweet and cool character, too. I especially loved Olivia's problem with her father's debt which was a really brilliant idea. I'm not only looking forward for their relationship, but the plot is super interesting. Most importantly, that ending though!!!!! I can't explain how happy that made me!!!! This was a really great book and I would recommend it to anyone who's into a story with a really good plot and romance.

I was immediately drawn in by Olivia and her OCD behavior and I'm looking forward to exploring that in more detail!! She's a quirky chick who you can connect to that finds herself drawn to one Mr. Devon Stone.
Devon is one half of the infamous Stone Twins who find themselves in the limelight more than they'd like. Devon seems to be the outcast and has a bit of a bad boy rep which makes him irresistable!

I cannot wait to read more in the tale of these two. Mira Bailee offers a well written story with very personable characters!
