Playing piano was my life. It was all I really knew, so I was crushed when it was taken from me by an unforeseeable twist of fate.
I decided moving back home to Florida would be the best way to pick up the pieces.
I had just begun settling into Plan B when I first laid eyes on Drake Kelly. I thought he was just some hot guy I could see through a small crack in my friend Megan's fence, but her brother informed me that his dad was a notorious modern-day pirate.
That one piece of information was so intriguing that, even though it was highly unlike me, I instantly began scheming a way to get into his house and his life.
I've always explored various artistic mediums but nothing has ever captivated me like the world of literature. I am truly grateful to all the authors who have inspired me, and only hope I can contribute to the wonderful craft of storytelling.
I like games and kids and red Starburst. I like tattoos and koi fish and tattoos of koi fish. I like fresh air and gardening and sushi. I'm sure you'll read about my other interests because I draw inspiration from things I enjoy.
I love to hear from my fans. Feel free to contact me anytime.
This is such a short yet sweet and entertaining read. It consists of 247 pages with such interesting premise but the overall story just fell too short that I’m left with lots of question mark in the end.
So Addie is this professional concert pianist who felt like she lost her touch when she blank-out and forgot her piece on one of her concert. She decided to completely give up on being a pianist, and take on a different career…. She moved in with her friend, Megan, and here is where she saw Drake. And through Megan’s younger brother, she learned that Drake’s dad was some notorious modern-day pirate. Completely turned on by Drake and intrigued by his family, she schemed her way into meeting Drake.
And, of course, there was that instant attraction when they finally met.
Drake intrigued me… I wanted to know more about him, what is it about him and this “magic” that he spoke of.... And a lot lot more. But the story never really went there. So that was disappointing.
Addie has such lively and fun(ny) character.… But her story felt rushed in the end. Like for one, she just magically gained back her confidence and went back to playing… Like I said, lots of hole in the story. That’s beside the pirate thing which is Drake’s family business that is “supposedly” quite dangerous that it had Drake’s brother, Rory, worried that Addie will find out what they do. Strange.
If I’ll take into the romance angle, it was sweet, close to none in complication and as far as relationship goes, it went really fast… ;) The epilogue tells a lot of promise.. And, It is a stand alone...
The next book on the series will be about Rory and Megan and hopefully, more info re this pirate business thing. ;)
Drake, that boy is filled with charm, "you should have told me you looked like this. I would have told you to come over at eight instead of five." Drake he's not shy in asking for what he wants, I mean these two have a casual conversation about sex and drugs, "not really, but it'd be nice if you volunteered for the one that's not drugs." Drake the boy is a serious flirt I sometimes wondered if he was serious about Addie or only about the sex they have together, "like you want me to go ahead and take care of business." As he said the words, he reached out and grabbed my a**." But once we got through his layers I actually saw he was genuine about his girl, "I'm not okay without you, Addie. Not having you isn't happening. It's not an option. I have to have you, so I'm gonna need you to be okay with that...okay?" I enjoyed this book, I liked it and I can't wait for the next one.
I kind of read this series out of order reading book #2, then book #3. But after reading the last two I had to go back and read book #1. Although Megan and Rory are my favorite couple, I really enjoyed Addi and Drake.
So Addison is famous pianist who is on top of works traveling with the orchestra! After the music suddenly leaves her she goes back home to a boyfriend who breaks up with her because she's not famous and moves home to florida. She wasn't so sure she believed in pirates until she fell in love with one next door.

Boring. Then it picked up and just swept along until the boring returned then it swept along again until it was just over. It was so awkward reading this because of the pacing. The male lead was not at all developed. I got that he was gorgeous, but other than that he could have just been anyone. Really for what could have been a really good plot it just wasn't executed to make it interesting or stand out. I've been considering book two, but I'm really just not feeling it right now.

Really though? I weed through numerous mistakes just in the first few pages and the big tragedy is she had a panic attack on stage? That is not what I was promised. Her career wasn't taken from her by fate she gave up on it because of a panic attack that no one even noticed! Also the word hick up appears in here .... As in Hiccup.... Yeah. Dnf
