Hajime Isayama (諫山 創 Isayama Hajime, born 1986) is a Japanese manga artist from Ōyama, Ōita. His first and currently ongoing serial, Attack on Titan, has sold over 22 million copies as of July 2013. He has mentioned Tsutomu Nihei, Ryōji Minagawa, Kentaro Miura, Hideki Arai and Tōru Mitsumine as artists he respects, but stated that the manga that had the biggest influence on him was ARMS.

I am shooketh!! So many things happened in this volume and there was so many plot twists. I loved how this volume spent time giving a lot of the side characters backstories, especially Sasha. The beast titan was low-key really freaky (and I googled the beast titan just to double check that that was what it was called and I spoiled part of the story for myself...). This series is so incredible and my bank account is crying from me buying more of the volumes, but it's so worth the money. I can't wait to read the next volume soon.

Esto sigue y sigue emocionandome cada vez más.

Empecemos por decir que el nuevo titán "mono" (no sé cuál es su nombre original aún) es aterrador e inteligente. Así que los personajes tienen otro enemigo más en la lista.

Sasha siendo todo lo que está bien en el mundo.(como quiero a esta chica). Por otro lado, la importancia de Christa me sorprende, tal parece que aquí todos juegan un papel fundamental.

Lo de Connie y su familia también encierra otro misterio más en cuanto a los titanes; abriendo la posibilidad de que un ser humano pueda convertirse en titán, solo que no uno inteligente.

En cuanto a las identidades del titán acorazado y el titán colosal ya me hago idea de quienes pueden ser los que están detrás.

This is getting so good! This one wasn't as action packed but it was filled with suspense and intrigue, plus a shocking surprise. Also we get a little backstory for a couple of characters, and a sneak peek that a couple of people are hiding things. So exciting! I'm pretty hooked at this point. I'm definitely looking forward to Volume 10.

Well, at least we know it can't get any worse, right? Oh, end of humanity? Meh, they were overrated anyway. :)

This is all new to me and fun as hell. I kinda wish I didn't have so much on my plate or I'd ram my way through this series in no time. :)

So Wall Rose has been breached and a creepy hairy ape titan appears. It deliberately hurts a horse so I already hate it. (Dude, there's no reason to hurt any of the horses. Jerks.)

We get some of Sasha's backstory which I'm glad for since I like her.

Not the most exciting volume but you can tell it's setting things up for more secrets to be revealed. There are hints here and there if you pay attention.

So this included one of the gayest moments in SnK that I've encountered so far.

Reiner: Ymir... What're you doing?
Ymir: Oh, it's you Reiner. What, sneaking up with dirty intentions on girls at night?
Reiner: What a shocker... I didn't think I looked a guy who's interested in women... Oh, and by the way... You don't look like a girl who's interested in guy's either.
Ymir: Oh really?

SERIOUSLY THOUGH. THIS KEEPS ON GETTING BETTER AND BETTER.

Me being me, I already know who all of the titan shifters are (except for the huge, beast like one- so confuzzled). I also know about Connie's village. Yeah, same name b*tches! I loved how there was a lot more character development in this, with Sasha and Connie, as well as the relationships with other characters being brought to light, like with Ymir and Krista. I have gone past the point where the anime left off, and I was literally squealing most of this volume, I was so excited.

This series definitely gets better as it goes along.

This series has zero chill, what a barrage

Feels like a major setup to something, nothing memorable in terms of dialogue, but very enticing how the author just keeps you guessing.

I like how mysterious this whole story arc was.

If you thought you knew everything about these titans, you'd reconsider after this.

Hopefully once they reveal what's going on, it won't be something predictable.

So much happened in this volume that was hard to wrap my mind around. This is my second read through and I know what happens, yet I still manage to get confused.

We got Sasha’s backstory.

Poor Connie. Poor Mike.

My favorite quote/moment:

Ymir: “Creeping into a girls room at night, Reiner? That’s surprising…you didn’t seem like the kind of guy who was interested in women…”

Reiner: “Sure…and you don’t look to me like the kind of girl who’s interested in guys.”

The first season is just a snack,guys.. Main dish is here!
Lots of things happened here that were quite creepy. Talking titan, a whole village ( Connie's village) turning into titans ( this is my assumption) and the secret being kept by that cute blonde girl whom I have forgotten the name of. And of course, the backstory of potato girl Sasha.
Unfortunately, with my great ability to notice spoilers, I have learned plenty of twists yet to come.. it IS getting better..

'Humanity's Worst Nightmare'

Villages have to be cleared as Titans approach and Sasha is right in the middle of that.

Those Walls are the major mystery waiting to be solved...

Plus riding in the virtual dark with Titans lurking is just not on my bucket list of things to do.

Plus Titans have a thing about throwing horses..I noticed.

There were multiple timelines and timejumps to other characters and I was confused almost the entire book.

Eren : First well go plug wall rose , and once we've repaired wall Maria, we'll got to the basement .All the answers should be down there . And then I'll know ... I'll know exactly who to point all this anger at

So many things weren't adding up in this volume . You just knew it was building up to something big . I mean ... a village smashed to bits ? Logical explanation : Titans .
No blood ? they must have fled .
But wait why would titans smash empty buildings ? Why are the horses all tied up? how did they flee ?
and most of all : did that titan say : Welcome home ?!
The again , the supposed hole in the wall ... why can't anyone find the hole ??? Shrouded in mystery .

Reiner was awfully defensive this volume . I love noticing these little tidbits when you know . Kept shutting Connie down every time he tried talking about the titan in his home who looked like his mom . Calling him stupid and such .We see you Reiner !

Then theres Ymir :

Ymir : hahahhahahahah!!!
Sp your mom was a titan Connie?! If that's the case then why the hell are u so tiny hmm
Cmon Connie! How does that even make any sense ?! I always knew u were moron but ...maybe its the opposite . Maybe you're some kind of genius right?! gahahahahah!!!

Ymir : so if ur theory is right ,then ur dad just be a titan too right? Cause if not ...then u know , how would they be able to do it ?!

I have a love/hate relationship with "Attack on Titan." And though I did recently binge-watch eight episodes in one day... it's more hate than love.

The violence is gratuitous, the characters are flat, the story-telling is incoherent. But it's addicting, and the show has some of the greatest animation I have ever seen.

So, until the next season is released, I had no choice but to turn to the manga. Here, the anime's only real strength has disappeared. You know that stunning, jaw-dropping animation? Gone. This is just... sloppy. Compared to some of the most artistic manga, (I'm thinking about CLAMP's work) these are hasty drawings done with a dying pen on a fast food napkin.

But I still want to know what happens. Even though I don't like any of the characters. Even though Isayama can't tell a decent story to save himself from Titans. Even though I've already had some of the biggest twists spoiled for me. I still want to know what happens.

Story
This story is all new to me. I don't have the anime to fall back on if the artwork is hard to follow, but so far that hasn't seemed like an issue.

The mysteries just continue to mount on top of one another, with no real hint of answers in the near future.

Now that I'm caught up to what's out in the US, I'm going to have to start waiting, or start learning Japanese..

The others warn the other villagers that Wall rose has been breached and they divide up into certain parts for the same and its amazing the way its done but then so many things happen - giants in connies village, the beast titan, something going on with Ymir and so much more. Its becoming interesting. Eren and co learn from the pastor regarding HISTORIA as she will be able to tell them the secrets of the wall and the giants in it and so much more. This volume was very action heavy but next up: fate of the others!
