decent fantasy that had some interesting twists. It flows Lily through her journey of growing powers when she discovers her past may not be what she thought. Strong and powerful she comes into her own. The plot was a really good concept.
The bond that Lily has with her friends is strong which can be felt in the emotions of the book. Angie is one of my favorite characters with her love and sarcasm all rolled into one. The other favorite character you will have to read to find out 😉
My struggle was the length as the same effects with the story could have occurred in less pages. This made it feel as though it dragged out a bit and took away from the excitement of what may happen next. I found some of the wordage a bit cheesy for my taste as well.

People are getting sick, she meets her dad the devil, she has to save the world, her principal is her “protecting angel”, he trains her for the horseman and war against GOD
crazy shit happens, then she’s on her own for 5 years with her best friend AND a rogue angel named Sara
They decide to find the group, finds them and they don’t trust them bc they are traveling with an angel. They tell them they have to “prove their grit”
She battles an angel and then she’s is in front of her dream man .
BANTER.. SO MUCH BANTER I KICKED MY FEET, giggled, and blushed. Roman is god tier book boyfriend..
The sword fight scene 🥵
“Are you out of your fucking mind? You could’ve taken my head off!” Lily pulled his blade out from the tree behind her, pretending that she,too, hadn’t tried to take his head off in retaliation. “Just curious to see whatcha do when a blade came at that pretty neck of yours,” he retorted with a wicked grin.”
The target battle 🥵
“Daddy’s back.”
The woods moment 🥵
“Now fuck my face like a good girl, and set that city on fire.”
Lilith and Angie and Sara decide to leave the group instead of stay. They find an abandoned Target STOCKED. Hard to come by a stocked store so they were suspicious and scoped the place out. Once they saw it was clear they went in snacked, cleaned up and rested for the night only for Lilith to wake up to a sword in her face. They battle some angels and all the sudden Roman, Cole and Emily show back up and they all fight together. Roman and Lilith have a hot kiss in the middle of the battle and Lilith accidentally uses her powers but controlled them.
He helps her with the fear of her power. Helps her try to control it with spice 🥵 SPICYYTYYYTT MOMENT. Really good spice too… but he leaves room to be desired once she defeats the next horseman.
She’s all badass and fights the horseman and the ending 😱 ohhhh geez, Angie 😢Sara🥺

I would describe this as an epic slow burn dark romantasy!
It is set in the apocalyptic world of the 4 horsemen! We have angels, Lucifer and other paranormal beings.
Arielle's writing is amazing and her world building is epic! I felt like I was right there with the characters!!
It is the ultimate battle for survival 💪 with dangerous battles throughout! There is loss and grief alongside friendship and found family 🫶
This is an addictive story full of suspense and longing! And Roman!! 🥵🖤 He is worth the wait!! Iykyk!! 😉
Beware there is a cliffhanger! I can't wait to get my hands on the next instalment and find out what happens! 🖤🤩

This was unexpected but in a good way. I went into it pretty blind but was pleasantly surprised at how much I ended up liking the story. It was different than what I usually read.
The story starting off with a giant fight, going back in time to lead up to everything was well done. The emotions run so high throughout. So many friendships, relationships, war, fights, death, and love comes out in this story. I will be very impatient waiting for book 2.

Wow wow wow!
The world building in this was great! And I always love the four horsemen concept! This was such a cool take! Lily is such a badass FMC and I loved watching her growth throughout the story! Roman!!! Hello, yes, please! Omg!
You will feel all the emotions reading this, you will hold your breath through battles, cry with the characters, be furious, laugh at the banger! All the things! The twist and turns were so much fun, and the ending - omg!!! I am going to need book 2!

I thought this book was incredible! The storyline drew me in immediately, and with every twist and turn I became more and more invested. The characters were so likable, and you just immediately felt a connection to Lily. She went through so much and grew so much throughout the story. And the ending…come on, you can’t leave us hanging like that?!?! I need to know what happens next!! If you like epic stories of angels and demons, good versus evil, but with a modern twist, then this is the book for you!!

Waw! This is a gem. Watch out for this author! I read QuickSilver before the hype started. Well for me this is the same quality! This is set in our world. And we are in war with Angels. Why? You have to read the book for that. But I can tell you the plot is really good. The adventure you go through as a reader. You meet our girl Lily. Who is she… And then we have Her friend Angie! Cole the principal… I forgive him… a little. We meet the dark side of Lily, namely Lilith. We have Sara and Emily. All interesting people you are going to meet. Ow and we have a cowboy and hellhound relationship. Don’t ask just read the book. And then Roman. Where did you find this man!!!! Wait till you meet him dear reader! You will not regret. So there are Battles. Lots of emotions to go through. And those last 2 chapters!!! Made my cry. Ow and the swordfight between Lilly and Roman. Can’t wait for book 2!!! Just go read!!!

If you like end of world, badass FMC's who you KNOW are badass but get to watch grow, and an author who can actually GIVE you growth. If like MMC who lift their badasses up in more ways than one, and if you like spicy spice like the kind of spice that has you reaching for.....the ice water on the nightstand teehee then RUN to this book! I am literally begging for book 2!!!
