Sometimes even the most difficult situations bring hope of something wonderful.

Ned Osgood and Lorna Peterson had dated when they were young. Everyone assumed that someday they marry and have children. Everyone, including Lorna, was shocked when Ned decided to move to Los Angeles to make his fortune. It seemed like he’s turned his back on everything really important in his life for money.

Ten years later, Ned and Lorna meet again. Unfortunately, it is a somber occasion: Ned’s mother has passed. For Lorna, it is immediately obvious that her feelings for Ned are as strong as ever. But how does Ned feel?

My Blue Violets is a nice sweet story. A perfect Saturday afternoon read. Sometimes when life gets chaotic and everything seems so complicated, it is important to be reminded about the important things in life.
