Good story
Kate and Rafe were high school sweethearts and when Rafe returns home he is hoping Kate and him, can resume where they left off. But Kate is resilient, afraid that Rafe will break her heart again.

They Remember
They had a love affair that was over ten years ago when he went pro. Seeing each other again shows them that it didn't end when he left. Enjoy I did.

This second-chance romance adds a nostalgic charm to the heat. Katie and Rafaele’s rekindled spark is heartfelt, with richer backstory and slightly more character development than most. The dual-book start gives it extra room to breathe. A lovely option if you want a blend of memory, emotion, and eroticism.

No sensation here
I am giving these two installments a 1.5 star rating. This is the story of Katie and Rafe, who was Katie's ex-boyfriend from high school/college. Rafe had come back to the school Katie worked at to speak at an inspiration program. Unbeknownst to Katie, knowing that she was single and no longer engaged, Rafe's primary purpose for coming back was to lay all his cards on the table and get Katie back. However, Katie was not feeling the same way. She loved Rafe. She just didn't want to be second to his baseball career, which happened in college, or his business. She would rather be alone than be the woman that got chosen second. She didn't want to get burned again. Throughout the story the statement that Rafe made about coming back for Katie sparked her imagination and made her question if she would take a chance being with him again.
There were many factors that earned this book the rating it deserved. The major one was the spelling errors. The author did not know the difference between the words "desert" and "dessert". These errors irked the heck out of me and disrupted my enjoyment of the story. There were also some inconsistencies in book one and two. In book one Katie was a redhead and then in book two she was a blond. Then at one point in book one it stated that Rafe owned a cabin that he bought from his parents since they retired, but in book two he spoke of buying the same cabin. It seemed like the author forgot what she wrote.
There was hardly any character development and the story went nowhere. Rafe was a considerate lover, as he had been when they were dating, and he showed that he wanted to be with her fully. However, he was doing many things pertaining to sex that it left no room for anything new. It got boring. I am not looking forward to two more books like this. It would be two more books of them basically doing nothing. There is no need for Rafe to chase Katie anymore. I would not recommend this. These installments were not Ms. Jordan's finest.
