In the best tradition of sexually charged thrillers, Facade introduces us to Ally and Liam, two characters that are literally like two asteroids colliding in space.

It can only create a big bang. Ally is a feisty heroine, and I found myself one the one hand cheering for her directness and tough attitude. On other pages pages I was like 'Ally, now why have you done that? It will only make Liam mad.'

Liam has a great relationship with his father, a successful business, and Liam knows too what he wants. Problem is, despite the many proclaimations of love for each other, Ally and Liam don't seem to want to go that bit further, or maybe...learn to back off.

Hence this is the Facade I saw in the title, and how it relates to the story.

Will they end up together, or not? You'll have to read and see. But it is so worth the read!

I think the author of the superb Mine and Mine 2, J Kahele, had a blast writing this tale. There's scope for more too - Caras is actually my favourite character - I know...my warped mind! Anyway, this is a great read that demands your attention. Now.

Romance? Yes indeed. The story takes you into the lives of Liam and Ally, two people who meet after Liam nearly hits Ally with her car, as she is walking down the street with headphones in her ears not paying attention. Ally is firecracker, sarcastic and really doesn't take much of nothing from anyone. Liam is sort of reserved and is appalled most of the time by Ally's foul mouth, but anyways a spark seems to ignite between the two and although Ally is wanting to take it farther, Liam is hesitant, after a relationship with Kate, a woman who not only broke his heart, but revealed his secrets of business to his competitors, he is not wanting a relationship.

I have read all of J's books, and I have to tell you, her books seem to get more steamier and more into the realities that are true of life. I enjoyed this book, because it was about normal everyday people who were looking for love and found it in the most unusual way.

The ending is very emotional. But all of J's endings often leave us with a tear or two.

This story is about two people who simply find each other. Both coming from broken relationships, they both have a lack of trust when it comes to affairs of the heart. Liam a strong self made millionaire, at times a little overbearing, but as I read the story, it was more for the protection of Ally. Ally is a very strong woman, who knows how to put Liam is in his place.

I believe these two balance each other well, and did not at all expect the ending. I sure hope that there is a second book, because I will be disappointed if there is not.

Another brilliant romantic tale from J. Kahele, this book has it all; romance, drama, intrigue, (very) steamy sex, comedy, and a realism that swings from dizzying highs to crashing lows. It is escapist romance at its best, it will tug at your heartstrings and you will no doubt recognise at least an aspect of yourself in the two main characters of Liam and Ally.

Although I am very different to him, I saw that I share many of Liam's traits, maybe some I have left in the past and others I don't act out upon, the important thing is, he was a character I could relate to. So incredibly handsome and successful people can be as insecure as me! The book is called 'Facade' and is about the many masks we wear; reality is not what it appears to be. Handsome, powerful, successful, has his pick of gorgeous women - Liam Sheldon wears a confident mask befitting his status and envied lifestyle. However, this turns out to all be a sham. His former fiancée, Kate, (a nasty piece of work) betrayed and cheated on him. It broke his heart and he only pulled through by focusing on career and success. He has been terrified to fall in love again and this he avoids until he meets Ally.

Ally is a beautiful, feisty young woman, he first encounters in a very funny scene when he nearly runs her over. At first they despise each other, but keep meeting each other, as it turns out that Ally is one of his employees. Ally is feisty, spirited, with a hot temper, and she won't hold back when something angers her. Liam is an arrogant control freak. But they both turn out to be genuine and kind-hearted people, both deeply hurt in their previous relationships. They are drawn to one another. They begin a tempestuous, passionate, on-off relationship - where they constantly hurt one another, ironically, caused by their own insecurity and jealousy. Will they ultimately stay together or will they part? Find out for yourselves, the ending is astonishing and powerful.

The wonderful paradox of 'Facade' is that although it is about the masks people wear, how we are constantly deceived by one another, Liam and Ally share a love that is real. They love each other, confounding themselves, with an intensity and heartfelt sincerity that could last them their whole lives. They perpetually remove their masks for one another to reveal their true selves - vulnerable and very human. The destructive streak within them is the façade. Liam's mantra that “Success is built on greatness not weakness!” is one that actually brings him emptiness. The only thing that is real is his love for Ally. I liked Liam and Ally because although they could be infuriating they were so genuine.

I totally enjoyed this bitter-sweet romance. J Kahele writes with a humour that is so funny because it has its roots in reality. If you like your sex served with unreserved pure sensuality, then this book will delight you. J Kahele is one of the most skilled interpreters of this much loved activity. Highly enjoyable writing. Yes, I have written a book with J. Kahele, which I think reinforces my personal endorsement of this novel and admiration of its many merits. J Kahele is a simply superb writer and delivers yet another entertaining, provocative and accomplished novel.

Oh hell to the no

First of all, this book is in present tense, whichis distracting." Ally is sad that Liam had to go through the same thing she did, but she is content at the same time,".

All of the characters are annoying. Liam acts more like a thug than a business man. He is constantly punching, fighting and threatening people. Peggy, Ally's friend, isn't much if a friend. When Ally has to go to the hospital, she talks on the phone with her for two sentences, then she hangs up because her crush is on the phone. She wasn't concerned about Ally at all. Additionally, she is bossy, she scolded Ally and made her apologize like a child, and is constantly reprimanding her. She acts more like a mother than a friend. But Ally did have poor behavior. she was always pouting. Both Liam and Ally are both unprofessional, having a fight at the office. Both act like immature teenagers that are jealous and insecure, especially Ally. Both are playing games, using other people to make the other jealous. Liam is jealous and controlling and NOT in a sexy alpha way.

AND THAT MOTHER CLUCKING ENDING!!!! THIS BOOK JUST ENDED!! THERE BETTER BE A DAG BLASTED SEQUEL CUZ THAT ISH MESSED WITH ME!! I didn't care for the book, but I still would have liked a different ending.

The paragraphs are weird. From paragraph to paragraph and indeterminate amount of time had passed

I hate writing negative reviews. I just thought the whole book was lacking. The relationship, the story...it was just (I hate to say..) boring

In this story we meet Ally and Liam. Two are the complete opposites and its a wonder how they managed to even ignite a spark. Ally speaks her mind, and doesn’t back down for anyone and Liam, well he’s a reserved business man who is closed off to relationships due to his cheating ex girlfriend. In fact both Alley and Liam have had bad break ups in the past but Alley is more than willing to put in effort with Liam but he’s is hesitant.

I liked Ally, she was feisty but then sometimes I just wanted her to shut up and stop. Liam, I felt as he gained more feelings toward Ally he become possessive and that I didn’t like but then again, I understand his feelings. His emotions and insecurities all came from his past relationship and that is an idealistic situation.

Both Ally and Liam had baggage coming to their relationship and it played out in a realistic way. Not all relationships have a happy ending. Not everything can be fixed with love, or that ‘Special’ one.

Can’t wait to read the next installment.
