The Fruit of the Spirit is a list which most Christians are familiar with. Jesus made it clear that believers are to bear fruit. But, how is this to happen? Do we have to work hard to produce it? Sometimes it can seem overwhelming.
In Walking in the Spirit, I look at:
• why God put this list into the book of Galatians • who the Holy Spirit is and how He functions • what is so special about ‘”fruit” • the Fruit of the Spirit itself.
If you’re longing to be more like Christ and be a light to this dark world, then Walking in the Spirit is a must for anyone who truly wants to grow in the Lord.
Jennifer Barker enjoys, with a cup of coffee in hand, diving into a good book. She loves her three boys, Bryce, Rylan, and Jayce, her husband, Tom, a good movie, socializing with friends, and getting to know her Savior more.
Jennifer calls beautiful Clayton, North Carolina, home.
Goodreads win. Will read and review once received.
This was a book that is easily read within one sitting or could be broken up into a few reading sessions. Between those two things this book is very enjoyable. This book is something I usually don't read about as it is being about religion. I'm not very religious, but I am open minded and this book was good. It held my interest from the beginning to the very last page. It was well written and talked about some interesting things. A good read that I can see many people enjoying.
As someone who didn't grow up in the church, I seek books to help me further my knowledge of the bible, God, and my spiritual awareness. This book provides wonderful food for thought and scriptures to look up and read on your own. I find it interesting to read of other people's journey to spiritual enlightenment. You can learn from the trials of others if you pay attention.
I love how Barker calls us all out on being fake, insincere, or hypocrites! God judges us by our hearts, our motivation! I have a long list of people I can't wait to share the book with!
