Everyone Left Behind: 4 minutes to chaos

Rate this book
Hershal had grown tired of his wife Priscilla's doom and gloom, End Times, vision of the future and wasn't about to do anymore stockpiling for it either. He just wanted to retire in peace. Change descended when he accidentally shot a Peeping Tom. Though he buried him on his remote Montana property, he couldn't bury the man's curse. Haunted by it, and about to be found out, he sent up a desperate prayer. That night he had a strange dream. Priscilla's interpretation of the dream was to stockpile enough food to look after seventy people for five years because perilous times were surely coming . . .

I just finished this book and was pleasantly surprised. Well written, good storyline, clean and faith filled. It starts out with a middle age couple trying to stock pile for the end of days. Hershel has a dream that his wife interprets to feed 70 people for 50 years. The vision soon comes to pass. Not just another dystopian book but one with characters that you will love or intensely dislike. There is some humor, death, earthquakes and a lot more.

I've never read this author before but as soon as I finished this book I downloaded the second book in the series. I bought the book and no one asked me to leave a review. All opinions are my own and I enjoyed the book, even stayed up late reading. If you like dystopian books then you will enjoy this series.

The hero of the book, is a less than perfect person, who often makes mistakes. The characters are easy to relate to and downright funny at times. I liked the fact that the author did not state that there had to be a rapture first before tribulation, contrary to what most churches teach today. People under stress can make weird decisions that they would not have had normally made, it is called lower brain function. The book shows people at their best and worst. Looking forward to more sequels.

Heartwarming

This story was so totally different from any other left behind book I've read. Maybe because it was written from a man's point of view. Maybe because it was written almost like a diary. A diary of one man's fears, loves, faults and desire to do what's best for his family and God. Now, to Book 2.

Unusual left behind story

Seemed different and other reviewers were correct needs more editing! A pleasure to see the main character find Christ and to see his wife's abounding faith. I am curious to see what this author does now.

If this is the end times Christians wouldn't be around

Don't like ending that don't close story
Satisfactorily. If this is the end times Christians wouldn't be around to go through this.

Good, down to earth story.

This is the most real view of the end times I have read. The people are average down home types. No one is more special than another. It leaves you hopeful of a future.

Great read

I thoroughly enjoyed the story. How would we really be able to take care of ourselves with no electricity or computers or our phones?? I can't wait to read the 2nd book.

A Slow Start With Added Silliness

I thought this story showed some promise but never really got off the ground. Hopefully the next book in the series will be an improvement.

I've written a few reviews and this is probably the longest one I've ever written. "Everyone Left Behind:4 Minutes To Chaos" has become one of my favorite end times books. I loved Priscilla's attitude in tha face of adversity. She prayed about everything and left it all to God. Her faith is very inspiring. Priscilla's husband Hershal's commentary on providing for 70 people and his views on faith had me hooked. I found myself opening my kindle every chance I could to squeeze in another page. I just couldn't wait to read what would happen next. So many surprises and twists and turns! The writing was funny and light hearted at times and tearfully sad at other times. I love how throughout the story God brought the whole plan together. Time O. Day has written a fantastic book. I was smiling in wonder at the last few pages. You will love the ending! It really is an amazing read. I can't wait for the next book! God bless you Mr. Day and may He make you write faster!
