Me after finishing The Lucidites Series.

Each book in the series was better than the last.
Revived is my favorite because the culmination of Roya's journey was amazing & satisfying on many levels.
This story will stay with me for a long time, and I already miss the characters I've bonded with.

I highly recommend it and look forward to Sarah Noffke's future works.

5 dreamy but lucid stars!

*I was gifted this book; the entire trilogy, in fact, by the author, in exchange for an honest review of each book.*
SPOIER LINKS CONTAIN ACTUAL SPOILERS! PLEASE don't click them unless you've read the book or want to ruin it for yourself.

It's been really hard for me to decide how to review this book. I think first and foremost, I should point out that I loved it! Seriously, I highlighted so many passages that, had this been a physical book, it might have dissolved. Not. Even. Kidding. I liked that it was technically set in Texas, which is where I reside. Of course, Noffke's writing and story-telling was equal parts thought-provoking, funny, and action-packed! It did have some sexiness going on as well but not a LOT, which is fine with me. I don't generally read YA for the steamy love scenes involving 16 and 17 year old kids. Why - do you? That seems a little perverted (unless you're a teenager, in which case it's totally normal!) but whatever floats your boat, I guess.

On the other hand, while (as I mentioned before,) this "technically" takes place in my home state of Texas, the whole trilogy kind of felt as if it all went down on another planet. Which works for the story, I didn't have a "WooHoo! That's MY state!" feeling. On the plus side, I'll go on record stating that 1.I'm not much of a cheerleader and 2. I didn't miss it!

Of course, being me, I have to point out that there were a couple of editorial pet peeves of mine which almost, if not for my love of the story and the trilogy in general, would have made me knock off a full star because I'm SUPER-PICKY! like that. Due to the fact that I've been asked in the past for examples, by several authors, (always only in the event they were readily available,) I decided to just post a few on my review:
E.g.
-The plural of "pair" is actually "pairs", not "pair".
-I don't personally think that the words "and" and "to" are interchangeable.
-The use of the word "zero" in place of "no" seemed borderline excessive but that last one is really subjective. To each their own...

I actually got a little confused on a couple of occasions because I would see Trey's name but think of Trent and wonder why in the World Trent was doing something for half a second before realizing I must've read it wrong. I almost wish one of them had a significantly different name so I didn't occasionally feel dopey, but oh well!

I really liked Roya's interactions with her brother and everyone else throughout most of this

People - at least people such as myself - enjoy reading about others, like them or not, who overcome odds, do unfathomable things (preferably in a good way), and ultimately find some sort of happy ending. In that respect, I was very happy with the conclusion of this trilogy. Although I'm always a little sad to bid farewell to my book friends!

One thing's for sure - Sarah Noffke is now among my favorite authors and I'll be doing my best to keep an eye out for any of her upcoming releases!

ACTUAL RATING: 4.5

~ You may have noticed that I gave The first 2 books high ratings. I assure you, that was done well before I was offered the third book or even requested the second. They are really just that good - I promise! As is the third!!! ~

*I was kindly given this book by the author in exchange for a honest review*

Okay, oh my god were to even start.....
.
.
.
.
Literally there are no words to describe the pure amazing work of art this book is, seriously, I don't think I've EVER.... EVER read a series that left me as fulfilled as this one did. I laughed I cried I bite my finger nails to shreds. This book blew my mind in so many ways, it was just pure perfection. I cannot get over how mindblowingly good this book was. Wow, what a book this is what an ending..... (KABOOM, MIND STILL BLOWN).

Okay seriously though I totally fell in love with everything about this series, the storyline is EPIC, the characters are all downright amaze balls (NOT A WORD BUT HEY I'M FANGIRLING). I swear I loved some of them then hated them, then loved them again they all just evoke so much emotion in you by the end you have tears running down your face from all the emotion.

Roya and Joseph were just such fantastic characters they both grow so much throughout this series it was beautiful to read. What I loved so much about this one was the bond between them grew so much stronger, Roya and both Joseph hide there emotions so much from everyone never allowing themselves to show their love for anyone other than each other and when it is expressed through this book it was so touching my heart just swelled for these characters there is a scene early on were Roya expresses to Joseph that no matter what he's done or will do in life Roya will never love him any less and I swear I almost cried the moment was so touching you feel for a minute that you are intruding on them.

And then there is Aiden and trey and George and Ren omg too many amazing characters I'm a total mess of emotions right now how I'll ever move on to my next book I don't know. Nothing will compare to this I fear. All these characters are brilliant and these are the characters that I was in love with one minute then hated the next but Trey and Roya towards the end have the most heartbreakingly beautiful moment ever that I cried not many books have ever evoked that emotion in me but it is so well writing and just downright sad that you can't help yourself TEARS MUST BE SHED.

Overall what can I say this book will kill you then bring you back to life, rob you of hope then restore it. If you read one series this year make it this one, it is spellbinding, amazing, fantastic an mind blowing epic read. Sarah Noffke is a fantastic writer the writing in this book is just amazing she has woven a spell of magic with this series it is everything you could want in a book and so much more, you couldn't go wrong so get yourself a copy, get sitting comfortably and prepare to be captivated by this magical tale.

Yes, I finally got around to finishing the trilogy!

This was a very original trilogy, and very enjoyable. As I said in prior reviews, it reads almost like a blue print of everything you need for a YA novel.

Now, on to this volume specifically. We finally get to see everything wrapped up, but not without some badness along the way. I was a little surprised to see some of the characters that didn't make it, but we knew the big battle would take a toll.

One problem that I did have, and it's one reason I don't read YA or romance in general. We had the ongoing love triangle with Roya and George and Aiden. Now, I understand that can be a bit of a staple in the genre. It's just that it always seems as though we are supposed to have sympathy for the girl caught in the middle. "Oh, I have these two wonderful guys after me, however shall I choose, woe is me!" Maybe it's because I'm a guy, but what about the guys in the triangle? Honestly, it's going to be one of the guys that really gets hurt, not the girl that has to make the choice. So it's hard for me to have sympathy for the female in that situation. I'm not saying it wouldn't be stressful or a hard choice to make, but it's still better than being odd man out I'm sure. Now, in defense of the novel, we are seeing everything from Roya's perspective, so it only makes sense we'd see her plight rather than the guys. But still, my sympathies would lie elsewhere.

Now, as for the final battle and actual ending. The battle was cool. I liked the way the various "villains" interacted, but I won't say anything more on that subject to prevent spoilers. As to how Roya's life ended up, well, once again I couldn't help but feel bad for the guy that lost out (which I also won't spoil).

I honestly thought there was a bit too much romance in this volume, but since I'm not really the target audience I am probably in the minority.

Overall, it was a fitting end to the trilogy. As I said earlier, I have to give Sarah Noffke major points for originality as it regards to the sci fi elements of the story. Very creative.

Oh and the cover. A hot blond in possible the tightest jeans in history??? Great cover!!!! (I mean, you know, the artwork is nice. Great color, composition, all that jazz...)

In closing, if you like YA sci fi, then read this trilogy. There's really not much else to say, as I'm sure you'll enjoy it. (The fact that I read the entire trilogy when I hardly ever read this genre says it all.)

I look forward to more from Ms. Noffke!

I just finished this book, the last in the Lucidites series. AND WOW WOW WOW WOW!!!!
Roya's journey has finally come to it's conclusion, and it was everything I wanted for her and more.

We continue the story after the discovery that Zhuang has been brought back to full strength by Joseph, thinking it was his father. Roya & Joseph are trying to come to terms with Trey being their father, and Roya is still struggling to deal with Chase's mind control over her. Roya also has to face the situation she's stuck in with George and Aiden. #TeamAiden

While news reporting for the Institute, Roya witnesses an event that will put the Lucidites in danger at some point in the future. They don't know when it'll happen, so they have to wait it out. Joseph and Roya come up with a plan to put an end to the terror, no matter the risks to their own lives. What follows is an epic battle between good and evil.
The personal journey of each of the characters in this final book was wonderful. Joseph, what can I say, he has grown so much throughout this series. There was a little twist regarding his personal life in this book that I don't want to mention it because I don't want spoilers here, but I absolutely loved it. His developing relationship was beautifully written and put a huge smile on my face by the end of the story.

As for Roya's love life, there was a perfect conclusion that I'd waited for all along. But I'll admit, even though I didn't really have much love for George in the first book, I've grown to adore him throughout this series. He's undeniably sweet and caring, and I felt sorry for him by the end of everything. Roya was stronger than ever. I love everything about her character: her wit, her courage, her dream travels. I always love strong female characters that can fight for themselves and those they love, and she's delivers all that. I am really going to miss her.
Roya is the perfect mixture of what I love to see in a heroine. She is strong, independent, knows her own mind, is brave, self-sacrificing, but vulnerable too. She has flaws. She makes bad choices, and the right ones too. I love that she seems so real, like I could know this chick ( I wish).
I loved this series! I have read almost all of Sarah Noffke's books, and with each one I read, I love her more and more

Revived is the 3rd book in The Lucidites series by Sarah Noffke and HO-LY COW is it the best! The entire series builds and builds through the first 2 books but Revived really puts Roya's story into overdrive. Relationships are forged, others are torn apart. Often times trilogies or series fizzle out in the final book as the author tries to awkwardly tie up all their loose ends...the opposite is the case with Sarah Noffke's The Lucidites Series. Revived is 110% solid, completely amazing, and a novel that is absolutely deserving to be called the final installment in this irreproachable YA series.

This book was an emotional roller coaster. I loved this one ten times more than the second one and possibly more than the first. There were a few spelling and grammar mistakes in the paperback but it's okay since it is independently published. I kind of want to reread the first book though after finishing this one to refresh my memory on details haha. Also, the last 40ish pages made me cry multiple times and I'm still heartbroken because of a certain event. This was a great conclusion to the series and I fell in love with all of the characters even more.

Fantastic ending to a great series. Book one was a great read, it was a fresh and interesting idea. Book two was also great, but not my favorite out of the two. The story outside of the love triangle was good. I think I've just read too many YA books with teen love triangles sometimes I'm just not in the mood for them and book two was a little heavy on the back and forth between Roya, George & Aidan. Book three blew the other two away. There was so much going on, secrets revealed, love lost & found and so much more. I even teared up at one point. I'm a little sad to see it end, I think it would be interesting to have a few more books for some of the other characters like Joseph, George and even Ren, he seems like an interesting character.

Revived was a wonderful ending to a great series, I read Revived in one day because I couldn’t stop reading! I loved The Lucidites series from the beginning to the end. It had everything a great book needed: romance, great characters, it made me laugh and cry, and it had a happy ending (I am a sucker for happy endings). Thank you Sarah Noffke for an amazing series. I enjoyed it so much!

Revived is the third and final book in the Lucidites Series, and it closes with a bang! In the end of book 2, Joseph and Roya find out that Trey, the head of the institute is their father. If you have been following along with me in this series, you damn well know how Roya reacted to that news! Man was she pissed!! The news was basically forced out of Trey when he learned that Joseph had helped awaken Zhuang thinking he was his father. What a way to end one book, and start another, right! With this new development of Zhuang's return, and Chase still hunting Roya, AND George and Aiden fighting for Roya's love what is a girl to do? I for one was glued like white on rice to find out!

Good Lord where do I begin?! Ok Joseph it is...The story of how Zhuang returns is kept on the down low from everyone because no one wants to have Joseph get stoned by his peers. I also had a WTF moment when a secret I didn't know was a secret that existed was revealed about Joseph! This book is full of secrets revealed that will blow your mind! Joseph is very open to Trey and tries to build a relationship with him, and he starts news reporting with Roya. I had forgotten how funny Joseph is! He tells Roya like it is, and it's just hilarious how it comes out. I was laughing out loud at Roya's expense quite a bit. Moving on to Roya, she's in love with Aiden, but Aiden can't have an open relationship with her because it will jeopardize his job, but he loves her as well. This is the back and forth dance they keep doing through out all three books. In between the “we are broken up” moments, Roya closer each time with George, the empath that is in love with her. That whole thing is messed up. I mean I know she does have feelings for George but we all know, including Roya that Aiden is THE ONE! Now with Trey, Roya is in constant battle with him. He comes off cold and uncaring, that is what upsets her the most about him. He never tells them the whole story about things, and he dictates things to her, and she does not like that AT ALL! Roya has no desire to build a father/daughter relationship with Trey EVER! Chase is still following her in her dreams, even with other people dream walking with her. Chase is determined to have Roya but she doesn't know why, but Trey does... Then there is the whole WTF moment with Ren! As the story unfolds about Roya's mother, Trey sends the twins to Ren where he blows them away with his part of the story. WOW, but it still doesn't explain why he's such a nasty ginger to everyone! These are the highlights that I enjoyed that I could share with you, now onto the ones I can't! LOL!

The showdown with Zhuang is pretty epic. He does some seriously messed up stuff while trying to find the twins and kill them. Chase on the other hand is trying to make Roya his, and not in a good way! Battle stations ready cause we're going in! This moment in the story was a lock yourself in a quiet room, with a do not disturb or die sign on it, and don't even think of leaving til this battle is over once and for all! Holy sheep! Merry Christmas! One last thing, the epilogue, HALLELJUIA FOR THE EPILOGUE!!! I have never been so happy in my life for an epilogue in a book!! I can't say I'm happy the Trilogy is over, but I am happy for the way it has ended, and my tears felt fully justified. The Lucidites Trilogy is at the top of my Christmas gift giving list, and a must read, re-read, and forever keep on the shelf kinda set! Don't just one click this set of books, have a marathon of clicks and share the greatness!

Narrator Review

Elizabeth Klett reprises her role as the voice of Roya Stark. Well, I should say the story teller of... Elizabeth is such a wonderful narrator. She is such a perfect fit for Roya, and does a hilarious snarky Joseph, and sarcastic nasty Ren, that make this whole audible experience so great. If you think you don't like audio books, then just listen to the sample Audible.com provides for this book and then tell me you don't like audio books! I feel like I have developed a bond with Roya through Elizabeth's amazing narration. The sound quality is very professional, and the spot-on reactions, emotions, and expressions Elizabeth delivers for each character was so life like it was scary. Elizabeth scores a 5 Star Rating from me for an outstanding performance!

That last line of the summary? So true!! Wow!! What a finale!! And check out that amazing cover!! Okay, calming down now... Welcome to this special post for the final book in Sarah Noffke's Lucidites series. This post will feature my review of the book, and a special interview with Sarah. Thank you so much to Sarah for taking time to provide her answers to my questions. Now let's check out this last book to what has been an amazing series!

What can I say that won't sound too fangirly? I fell in love with this series from the very first page of the first book. I immediately loved all of the characters because they were so well-crafted and leaped off the page at me. I felt like I knew them, Roya especially. As the books progressed, I fell only that much more in love with them, and with this wonderful series.

Roya is the perfect mixture of what I love to see in a heroine. She is strong, independent, knows her own mind, is brave, self-sacrificing... I could go on and on. But here's what I love most about her... she's vulnerable too. She has flaws. She makes bad choices...but then she makes a lot of right ones too. I've said this before in prior reviews, but it bears repeating...I've never seen a character work so hard to hide her emotions, to keep them under control. It was so sad to watch, and as I read my way through these three books, I kept waiting for the moment when she'd open herself up, tell herself the truth. She has evolved so much by the time we get to Revived, and I loved her all the more.

So what did I love so much about this last book? Well, everything. It had all the elements that make me adore a book. There was romance, a long-lost brother, an unexpected twist that hit us at the end of book 2 and which plays a heavy role in this final story, not one, not two, but three dangerous villains, and so much more.

This story was very character driven, which is something that I love. Since there has been a love triangle throughout the story, I read with baited breath to see how that was going to turn out because I loved both Aiden and George so much. I love how the author was able to perfectly balance my love for both of the guys in this story, and it wasn't until Roya finally realized who her man should be, that I finally realized it too. Neat writing trick there!

Really though, the romance, while completely engaging and important to me, was secondary to a couple other elements. Some of my favorite scenes in this story are between Roya and her brother, Joseph. This was such an endearing and precious relationship, and I loved seeing it come full-circle and develop into something amazing. Second...the villains... can't say much here without ruining the story for you, so I'll just say, wow, the villains.

Then there was that twist at the end of the second book. Again, I can't say what it was in case there are some who haven't read the stories yet... but this was my favorite aspect of this book. I watched this unfold with heartbreak and hope, and when I read that final scene regarding this twist, I sighed and melted.

The writing in this story was some of the best I've read in a long time because the story was so well-crafted, all the little pieces fitting together perfectly. A large part of this book centers around the characters, but I wasn't bored in the least. The pacing was great. Everything was leading up to something spectacular, and when that moment finally arrived, it was worth the wait, and the author delivered yet more surprises. This has turned out to be one of my favorite series of all time. If you haven't read it yet, what are you waiting for? I can't wait to see what Sarah Noffke comes up with in the future!!

Ahhhh, awesome ending to an amazing series! I could say, this book is my favorite among three from which I enjoyed reading the most. Yes, best book in the series!

Engaging and action-packed. I was totally blown away. I like, I love and I awe a lot of things in this book that I never expected to happen. For one, I never expected to have there three villains to fight against. How Roya defeated them.... That was just brilliant. I have like slapped my table when I read how each met their fall. The ending of the battle was RELIEVING. After what happened to Bob and Steve? Zhuang deserved how he died.

The characters? I think I'll miss them all after this.

The twins... Oh, Roya and Joseph. Their relationship was the best and my favorite. Theirs would make you miss your sibling. I love them together, they're just so fun and very relatable. Their love stories were very interesting. I'm glad finally, Roya and Aiden, hurray!

But I am also sad for MY George. I love that guy. I just hope, really hope Ms. Sarah would write him his own story. That would be awesoooommme!

The ending would make anyone's heart full and aching for more stories from this author.

All in all, a SATISFYING CLOSURE to the series! ^___^

Best in the series! So darn good.

My favorite, by far, of the three books in the Lucidites series. The action scenes were terrific, the character interactions were intense, and the ending was perfection.

There was so much to take away from this third book I hardly know where to start.

Everything catches up to Roya, from the dangers of her many enemies to the drama of her love life. There were so many twists and turns from cover to cover. Everything I was waiting to have happen was delivered. This book blew me away! If I were as gifted in words as the author, I could sit here all day talking about the gloriousness of it.

The battles were everything, and more than, I could've asked for. Chase, Allouette, and Zhuang all make appearances and the results are nothing short of electrifying with exciting visuals and scenery.

The ending was poetic. Happy, yet slightly tragic, and overall one of the most satisfying closures of a series that I have read. My heart is full after finishing this book.

I'm glad I didn't start the Dream Traveller series with The Lucidites, which is the first trilogy in the series. This trilogy, and in fact, the whole series, is very circular in time, or maybe I should say the individual series are parallel stories rather than chronological. I expected the Lucidites not to be as developed as subsequent books, but imagine my surprise when Ren showed up here. My first thought was - what is he doing here? His story is four series further down the list! So, at first I wasn't sure if the plot twist was time travel, until I realized that no, the different series run concurrently with each other.

Having said that, this third book in the trilogy redeems the second book. Yes, there's the same relationship problems as in the other books, but they are maturing and evolving.

Zhuang is back to destroy Trey and the Lucidities, and Roya; Chase is still there trying to made Roya his slave and somehow Roya and Joseph have to beat both of them and save themselves and the Lucidities. Aidan and George seem less irritating in this book and Chase is just as creepy.

There's heartbreak and redemption in this story, and healing. Nice way to end the trilogy.

This review contains spoilers for the two previous books in this series. Please don't read on if you haven't read either of those books.

So here it is, the final installment in The Lucidites series, AND I HAVE SO MANY FEELINGS. Roya's journey has finally come to it's conclusion, and it was everything I wanted for her and more.

 photo myemotions_troy.gif

This is one of those books that I struggle to review because I can't quite put into words how awesome it is. The entire series has gotten better and better as it went along, resulting in a fantastic final installment that was nail-biting from start to finish.

We continue Roya's story after the discovery that Zhuang has been brought back to full strength by an unsuspecting Joseph. The siblings are trying to come to terms with Trey being their father, and Roya is still struggling to deal with Chase's mind control over her, so the stress levels are high. Amongst everything else going on in her life, Roya also has to face the situation she's stuck in with George and Aiden.

Whilst news reporting for the Institute, Roya witnesses an event that will put the Lucidites in grave danger at some point in the future. They don't know when it'll come to pass, so they must sit and wait for the day to arrive.

Refusing to be forced to exit the institute when the danger arrives, Joseph and Roya come up with a plan to put an end to the terror, no matter the risks to their own lives. What follows is an epic battle between good and evil, and Roya learns more about her past and herself along the way.

The personal journey of each of the characters in this final book was wonderful. I just have to take a moment to talk about Joseph because he truly shone through this time around. He's been one of my favourites from the start and it's been great to see him develop over the course of the series. There have been many times when I've wanted to wrap him up in a blanket and protect him from the world. There was a little twist regarding his personal life in this book that I don't want to mention directly because I don't want spoilers here, but I absolutely loved it.

Roya was stronger than ever in Revived. I love everything about her character: her wit, her courage, her dream travels. I always adore strong female characters that can fight for themselves and those they love, and she's delivers all that and more. She's been so entertaining to read about over these past three books, and I'm going to miss her a lot!

What I also loved is that even though the story focuses on the relationship between her and Aiden, it didn't interfere with the main plot. A lot of the YA series' I have read recently put way too much focus on the romance, and the plot would depend heavily on the love interest. With this series, Roya's overall journey was something she fought through herself. Although she had Aiden's support, she didn't need saving by him. She was strong enough to fight her own battles! This is one of the reason's why their relationship worked so well for me. We were given just the right amount of it.

All of the lose ends were neatly tied up by the final chapter of Revived, leaving me more than happy with the ending. I'm not going to lie, there were parts that tore my heart apart, especially towards the end. The epilogue was as much of an emotional roller-coaster as the entire series – I was a mess by the end of it!

It has been such a pleasure to be able to read this series and I'd like to thank Sarah herself for introducing it to me. I have enjoyed the company of these wonderful characters over the past couple of months, and I can't wait to see what awesome stories Sarah Noffke has in store in the future.

*****The author provided a free copy of this book in return for an honest review.*****

Another 4.5, so I rounded up. Like Stunned, Revived was a roller coaster; the action ebbed just enough here and there to build suspense for the next big challenge. In the end, everything was resolved one way or another, so the book was an excellent end to a very entertaining series.

Plot:
At the end of Stunned, Roya was … well … stunned to learn that her brother had brought back her nemesis and her boss was actually her father. She also found out that she was the new obsession of one of the Lucidites’ biggest enemies. Revived picks up where Stunned left off. Aiden, who was going to tell Trey about his relationship with Roya, has second thoughts. George is still making it known that he, too, is in love with Roya. Trey wants to get to know Roya and Joseph better but refuses to reveal any of his secrets. And Roya has to find a way to trust Joseph again, so the two of them can face both Zhuang and Chase.

Characters:
Though she still puts on a strong front for everyone, Roya is more vulnerable than we’ve ever seen her. She is still trying to avoid her emotions by compartmentalizing them, but it’s becoming harder and harder for her to do because she has grown to care so much about everyone around her. Her encounters with Chase also show us that are defenses are not as impenetrable as we thought.

Roya’s not the only vulnerable person at the institute. Joseph knows he has to redeem himself, and as he does, we learn many new things about him, including whom he’s been cheating on Samara with. Aiden makes some excruciatingly (cussworthy) mistakes, but we do find out why he is so afraid of losing his job. Samara is still trying to overcome what happened to Pearl, and Trey is desperately trying to change Roya’s opinion of him. Basically, the only people who aren’t vulnerable are George (who is admittedly more than willing to be hurt) and Chase and Zhuang (who don’t think they can be hurt).

Writing:
Like its predecessors, Revived was very well edited, and it’s also very visual. That makes it easier for the reader to focus on the plot rather than fumbling through typos or stopping to understand the setting. That’s more necessary than ever with this book because there is a LOT going on. There’s also a lot of suspense because we don’t know what is true and what is not, and we know that Roya finally has a huge weakness.

Speaking of that weakness, the love triangle is now a love square(?), so if you’re not a fan of the George-Aiden situation, you’ll be even more unnerved by the Chase-George-Aiden situation. Regardless of whom you want Roya to be with, you’ll have to wade through several VERY uncomfortable scenes, but everything is resolved by the end of the book. If I had to give Revived a movie rating, I’d probably make it a PG-13. The book contains language, mild sexual situations, and violence, and there are several deaths, including those of important characters.

The Bottom Line:
I think Revived was the best book in the series. Some people (not me!) may be disappointed when Roya finally chooses who she wants to be with, but other than that, everything comes together seamlessly. Noffke pretty much reveals all of the secrets, and she answers some lingering questions I had from the first two books. There’s even an epilogue that tells you what everyone is doing in the future. With all of those things going for it, Revived is everything the conclusion of a series should be.

My experience with this book is based on the audio book.

First I'm going to talk about the narrator. Her voice is absolutely perfect for Roya. She provides the appropriate amount of snark and attitude that Roya deserves. There is passion behind her words and they flow so nicely. I've really enjoyed listening to this narrator it has been the fifth book I have listened to from her and plan on listening to more.

This book is the epic conclusion of the Lucidites series. It has been a roller coaster of emotions for me. I have enjoyed all the characters good and bad. They have left a sprinkle of magic and love in my heart. My favorite character is Roya. Her struggle and growth in the series has been raw and realistic. She has struggled with emotions that I can really relate to. I love her attitude and her spunk. She puts everyone else in front of her and it is a quality to admire. My comic relief was Joseph. He had me laughing so hard that I snorted a couple of times. His charm and class are not compared to any character I have read.

My favorite part of this book was the moment Roya had in the past with Trey. It reached me on such a deeper level than I thought possible. It is a very similar conversation that I had with my own father just a month ago. Noffke really got the feelings correct because I understood Roya and was touched by this moment. It is probably my favorite scene out of any book I have read.

Now I must say goodbye to a few of my favorites since it is the end of the series. Please forgive me if I ramble because I'm having a hard time letting go.

Goodbye Roya. You are such a strong young lady and I have enjoyed watching you grow in to a woman. Your courage and strength can never be out shined by anyone.
Goodbye Joseph. You are my funny guy. You have the charm and charisma of a perfect southern gentleman and anyone is lucky to have you.
Goodbye Trey. I understood your point of view probably more than anyone. I admire you and am glad you could overcome some things. I will remember you and your struggle.
Goodbye Aidan. I have been team Aidan since the beginning. You have your smarts and will go far in life. I miss you and your music terribly.
Goodbye Alloutte. You are a sultry vixen. Even though you were bad I loved your character. You hooked me and any woman that can make Ren scared is a wonderful woman in my book.
Finally Goodbye Chase. You were evil but oh so dreamy. I will continue to swoon over you for nights to come. I guess I'm not saying goodbye because I will see you in my dreams tonight.

In all of the multi-novel series I have read, I have never felt as fulfilled as I did at the end of the Lucidites epic. Revived grabs the reader early on, and picks up the threads from the previous two books to weave a dynamic, amazing climax AND conclusion.

I have read a number of series that have flimsy, anti-climactic, or otherwise unsatisfying endings after having invested the reader’s time over multiple episodes. Sometimes they nail the giant climax and peter out in the conclusion/epilogue (including, but not limited to, a certain boy-wizard author….). Occasionally, the letdown is the climax resolution with decent to subpar conclusion afterwards. Sarah Noffke manages what so many others miss, which is writing with superb quality through to the final page, not just when the “final battle” ends. As the summaries tout, everything is addressed, the mysteries are revealed, and everything is tied up or, at the least, put to rest. This is of course the feeling by the end, with the bulk of the book containing even more of the action, adventure, big reveals, and drama that abounds in previous two installments.

The characters have matured, and show that they have grown personally and literarily since their introductions. Places like the Institute that seemed clinical to Roya, and therefore the reader, have grown to feel like home. The villains are more menacing than ever and hauntingly familiar. Awoken is drowning and submersion into a new world. Stunned is putting on a mask and exploring the world of the deep. Revived is losing the mask, struggling and clawing to the surface, and finally feeling the peace and calm of floating, swimming, and mastering the water.

I could go on and on about the book, but suffice to say I loved it from cover to final page. I could not put it down until I was finished, but I also did not feel cheated or wanting at the end. It was sublime in that sense, never too much and definitely not lacking. I hope that this is not the last we hear from this talented author, and I would urge anyone taking the time to read this review to pick up Revived, or Awoken if you stumbled upon book three first. The Lucidites series is at the top of my lists for well-written, exciting, and satisfying reads.

This series is beyond amazing! I don't know if I can even put into words how much I have enjoyed this series, all I can tell you is that I couldn't put these books down.
This is the end of the series which is quite sad but it is just as good. Roya is such a strong character and I love all the sarcastic banter she always has. Her and Joseph are my favorite together the way they talk together and interact as brother and sister. It puts a smile on my face every time I read what they go through. I thought I didn't like Aiden all that much but this book sort of changes my opinion on him, I become more accepting of him. I would like to know more about what happens with George though would be nice to maybe have a short story on him.
Again Roya's life is pretty much put upside down and they have no idea how they are going to get out of this. I love reading about Roya and what she goes through and all the emotions and thoughts and how she critically gets through things. She goes through some tough things and faces death more times then anyone but always finds away to battle through even if that means accepting being gone. I think that's what I love most about her is that she is okay with herself being killed but she can't accept others deaths.
What I also really love about these books is that they aren't rushed. They flow really well and really connect all the characters together.
Oh by the way Trey's there father??? Great twist there knew something but not sure what. I really loved all the history Joseph and Roya find out as well as the connection behind Roya's name. Ren also knew something was coming but wasn't sure what that was so that was a shocker in itself.
Anyways, I really think that you should take a chance on this series because it is really well done and has adventure, mystery, and keeps you deep in the story.

I have received a copy of this book in audio format from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Roya and Joseph find out that Trey is their real father, almost at the same time that Joseph discovers that his great project of bringing back who he though was their father has in fact strengthened Zhuang. In the meantime, Roya is still being visited in her dreams from time to time by Chase. They need to find a solution before Zhuang comes back and tries to destroy the Lucidites institute and everybody inside.

This is the third and final book of The Lucidites series. I enjoyed how it started, but I was not sure if this could live up to the Reverians. Now that I have finished it, I think this series is even superior to the other one. The book is beautifully written, and the characters have more and more depth, becoming alive with every sentence. Roya is not an annoying brat any more, and Joseph also has some surprises for us. The story of their family is finally revealed and we will know why they are so special.

This series has been a great read, I really liked the world Sarah Noffke has built, which is consistent, rich and full of details. It saddened me to finish it and say goodbye to the Lucidites institute and all their secrets, but I am sure I will revisit it one day.

Elizabeth Klett is impressive and glorious as always. I have already said it before, but she is one of the best narrators I have ever known. Not only does she have a very clear diction but she transmits the characters emotions. What she does cannot be called narration, it is in fact character interpretation and voice acting. The audio edition is immaculate, and the only breathing is the one that is needed for the acting.

These days these books were my happy place. Sarah Noffke's writing paired with the voice and interpretation skills of Elizabeth Klett is something to be fully enjoyed. I will miss them.

I finished this book this morning so im still processing my feelings on it. I can tell you i truly happy with the turn out. This was a great book to the end of the series.

STOP AND READ THE FIRST TWO BOOKS BEFORE READING THIS ONE.
Awoken (The Lucidites, #1) by Sarah Noffke Stunned (The Lucidites, Book 2) by Sarah Noffke

Update: Finished processing my feelings. I will try not to give any spoiler alerts. I usually don't like how series usually ends. Someone always dies that i was really invested in. In this case all the characters i was attached to lived. I will not say who lives and who dies. I really liked the enjoyed the relationship between Trey and Roya. I was happy how that came about. I also liked how Roya dealt with having 2 Men interested in her and how she had to let one down. I enjoyed reading about Joseph and the things he was dealing with through Roya. I found it interesting that you didn't get Josephs POV but you got an idea based on what Roya could read in him. I was happy the author gave you and update on all the characters at the end. where they are what happened with them and who ended up with who.

I found this book very well written and easy to read and enjoy. I usually notice a lot of spelling and grammar issues but not in this case. If there were any i was to involved with the story to notice. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys love triangles, dream traveler, strong women or to anyone who just enjoys a good read. I hope everyone enjoys this book as much as myself.
Happy Reading Everyone!!!

*I received this book from the author for an honest review.*

OK, I would like to take a moment to just die.
.
.
.
How long is a moment anyway?
Is it longer than an instant?

There are no words. Like literally. NO WORDS.
This book killed me and then revived me and then killed me some more. But in the end I was born anew, better.

I can't describe the range of emotions this has put me through. I was 70% in and just felt the need to bake an apple pie to release my nerves. At this rate I'm gonna look like a hippo if I read more of Ms. Noffke's books. And that's not a laughing matter.

There's such a raw conflict inside me whenever I step into this amazing world this amazing author has created that I feel actually transported there. I am suffering with the characters. I am laughing with them. I love with them. That is such a rare occurrence in today's literature that I must call these books My Precious.

Roya had a lot to grow, and that she did. Aiden also, had to make it or brake it. George, my sweet boy, was the most spectacular character. And Joseph, he was the most trauma ridden. But all of them were so powerful together. All of them put so much soul in their actions. It was like watching my babies grow. I even liked Tray and Ren and Shuman.
Chase is another subject altogether, I just want to strangle him and at the same time take him away from all the bad in the world and fix him. Love him till I break his evil ways and then his face matches his soul.

I am very happy with the ending. All got what they deserved.

Thank you so much for writing these spectacular books. I can only hope there will be more amazingness from you in future books Ms. Noffke.
These books need to be read.

***This book was given to me in exchange for an honest review***

Love this series! Perfect ending to an incredible series! The author has done this series right. Of course there is a love triangle but it is so much more. Roya and Joseph find out who their father is, Zhuang is back, Chase is haunting Roya, and they are both dealing with their crazy love lifes. The love triangles do not overpower the story. This is action packed with so many twists. The author keeps you wanting more, this is absolutely a page turner! Roya's heart as been ripped up so many times she is having a hard time figuring out what is real, what she wants, and what she needs. There is a rollercoaster of highs and lows that you will experience. Breathtaking!

"A heart controlled by Chase and a mind controlled by Zhuang will have me on the America’s Most Wanted list in no time.”

"You know, sometimes even when two people love each other the universe still conspires against them, forces them apart.”“I don’t like the evil universe you speak of.”He shrugs. “Actually the universe is kind and wants what’s best for us. It just wants to push us to become a better version of ourselves. The only way we’ll do that is if we’re forced to fight for what it’s keeping from us.”

“What I want and what I have to do are incongruent. Sometimes you don’t get to be who you are.”

Everything comes with a price, but what an amazing ride! You won't be disappointed with this series. I look forward to reading more from Sarah Noffke!
