I haven't been checking any news or information about this author/series, but this firmly feels like it's the final arc for the Blue Exorcist series, and I'm so excited for it, to be honest. (That cliffhanger, though!?)

Chapters 150-155
I wasn’t too keen on this volume. Mostly because I really didn’t like that Iblis (King of Fire) died in 3 chapters after her introduction. It was really disappointing. She is one of the 10 demon kings-the most powerful demons in Gehenna. She should have not died as quickly as that.

I was also not a fan of Beelzebub or Egyn-their conversation was a mix of serious and comic relief. I liked the initial concept in the early volumes where the 10 demon kings (and demons in general) were depicted as extremely powerful and evil. Gehenna is meant to be hell. I think the demons are getting humanised a little too much.

This volume was kinda messy and simply didn't contain enough for me to care about. I didn't care about Liu to be engaged with his chunk of the volume, and the Beelz and Egyn stuff was clearly a joke, but not one that I found funny bc I barely know the characters, so it felt like my time was getting wasted on purpose. Shima also confused me through most of that "fight"??? I'm just glad we ended on the main party, it wasn't very entertaining up to that point.
