This book finishes strong but getting there is bit of a journey. Several issues of this collection feature characters introduced just to make sure they are featured. During times like this it feels more like a toy commerical than even the original show did. Still, once the Unicron storyline goes into full swing it becomes an intense ride which makes the whole series worth reading.

this, for me, was Nostalgia pt 2. The UK comics filled the gaps between the weekly UK edition and the monthly US one. Constrained plot wise, these focus much, much more on character. I mean it's still pulpy kids fare, but it's a world better than the volume of US strips... Whether I can face a third volume is another question. Time for a break.
