EN This adaptation remains extremely faithful to the series, and it’s been a real pleasure to revisit the story in manga form.
It’s a shame the release schedule isn’t faster, but it is what it is.
I love this series and hope they carry it through to the end — and, while they’re at it, adopt the same approach for other stories within the Star Wars universe.
An excellent adaption of the TV series into a Manga comic. It has excellent artwork and all thr important scenes from the series.
Mando thanks he has found the perfect backwater planet to lie low on, however this spot might already be taken. Local trouble but Mando's consience and bad reputation might bring unwanted attention. Then Mando takes some jobs to pay the bills as well as making new allies and enemies.
If I had one complaint about this book it is where it finishes. About 3/4 of the way through the crew episode, but i do understand the use of cliffhangers to buy the next volume.
The continuing manga adaptation of The Mandalorian TV series. This volume covers the adventures of Mando and Grogu from Sorgan and rescuing the marine farmers there to Tatooine and joining the job of releasing a prisoner from a prison station. This volume stops mid-job right after the alarms go out on the station.
This series is very true to the original TV series, and pretty much adapts it exactly from one medium into another. This one occasionally summarizes things in the interest of space. (For example, they cut out the part about Grogu's obsession with eating the frogs in Sorgan.) Still a fun way to revisit or meet Grogu and Mando.
Notes on content: Language: I don't remember any. Sexual content: None Violence: There are a couple battles with some shooting of weapons. Injuries and fatalities are more implied than shown (and much of the violence is covered with cartoon "bam" "wham" type things). Ethnic diversity: Multicultural alien worlds. LGBTQ+ content: None specified. Other: Mando takes some jobs with shady people who aren't completely honest with him. Sorgan is a peaceful farming village being threatened by the empire.
Though the manga is slow going, it is excellently adapted and illustrated. This Volume goes from Season 1 Episode 4 through about two-thirds of the way through Episode 6: The encounter on Sorgan with the farmers and Cara Dune, the capture and loss of Fennic Shand, and starting the prisoner rescue with the crew of pirates. Really hope they continue this title through the whole Mando journey. Recommend.
Continues to be a solid adaptation. The artwork is great, with multiple panels looking amazing. While no new context is added to the story, I still am enjoying these and I hope the series continues.
It’s back!! 👏👏👏 I really thought this series got cancelled. I’m so happy it didn’t. It’s so enjoyable to see the episodes get translated into beautiful art!
It's not my favourite volume of the series, but still... 3 fun episodes of the show adapted into this fun manga style, and it's still miles better than Marvels attempt.
If anything, im just glad we finally have this volume in English. It's taken Viz a while to catch up, I've had the Japanese edition on my shelf for ages. Volume 4 is only a few months away, and then hopefully, Volume 5 (which i haven't been able to read in any form yet) isnt too far behind.
