A romantic comedy of manners about a lavish wedding weekend gone very, very wrong with the slow-burn romance of Emily Henry and the fizzy humor of Sophie Kinsella.

The Bride: Beautiful, seemingly carefree Marigold, is tired of being treated like a shallow it-girl. That’s one of the many reasons she’s excited to marry Jonathan—the handsome, kind, respectable doctor of her dreams. So, when a shocking secret from her past threatens to ruin her wedding, she’ll do anything to make it disappear...even if it means tracking down a man she vowed to avoid forever.

The Maid of Honor: As the bride’s best friend, all Natalie wants is for this wedding to go off without a hitch. There’s only one problem: Natalie has secretly been in love with the groom since college. When Marigold disappears, Natalie is forced to ask whether she can keep burying her feelings for the sake of friendship...or if she’s ready to risk everything to pursue her own happy ending.

The Sister: Olivia has spent her life cleaning up Marigold’s messes. So, she’s determined to keep the wedding on track for the sake of their mother, who’s battling cancer and longs for one last perfect weekend. But when Jonathan’s best man—a prickly academic with a heart of gold—ropes her into a fake dating scheme, sparks unexpectedly fly. Will Olivia sacrifice her own happiness again, or could this fake relationship turn into the truest choice she’s ever made?

Heartwarming, hilarious, and sparklingly romantic, Save the Date will have you cheering for love in all its messy, unexpected glory.

This was a very chaotic romance comedy that I really enjoyed reading! It comes with three multiple points of views, a lot of drama and hilarious moments! It is definitely a messy one, but in a positive and different kind of way. It was highly entertaining! While reading this book, I felt lighthearted, hopeful and emotional.

It is set on a luxurious island, where a wedding starts to get out of hand. I will say that I loved the atmosphere in this book, it really did make me feel like I was on an island. So, it felt a little adventurous as well. This is a character driven story, where each character was strongly developed throughout the novel. Some of the themes this story has are a second chance at love, self worth and identity, tons of secrets, love and more! Overall, I give this book a 3 out of 5 stars! It gave me the book, “Something Borrowed” by author Emily Giffin vibes!

Thank you to NetGalley, author Mallory Kass and Atria Books for this e-arc in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

This book is expected to be published on April 14, 2026!

weddings are so serious to me!!!

the cover and title of this book had me hooked before i even knew what it was really about. once i read the synopsis and realized it was following three different women at a wedding, the bride, the maid of honor, and the bride's sister... i was so in!! this book truly felt like one of those early 2000's romcom where you follow tons of characters, i.e. valentines day and he's just not that into you, and i was eating it up. i loved the maine setting so much, it reminded me of the proposal. basically this book just felt like one big romcom, it truly was written for the movie girlies and i loved it!!

marigold and olivia were lovely to read about. in an earlier update i said that marigold and hugo felt like a east coast sweet home alabama story and i'm sticking by that. from the moment we learned about their predicament i knew their story would be my favorite to follow. it was for the most part, hello the dog remembering and missing her is unmatched. olivia and zack did end up beating them out but it's truly just because olivia was my favorite character to follow through this messy wedding weekend. give me an overworked and misunderstood older sister any day of the week, i will eat up that story forever and ever!! zack truly was the best partner for her, he was so sweet and understanding. plus at one point he said to her "i love the way your brain works" and that made me swoon harder than any romantic line ever...

sadly my least favorite part of this book was natalie and jonathan. sorry for another movie reference but they were like the couple in something borrowed, in love forever but not saying anything until the very last possible minute.. fucking spare me. i also hated how natalie's character was portrayed, her giving up the mfa for a fake job in nyc... why would a woman give so much up for a man she can't even admit she's in love with. their whole vibe just angered me and i didn't really care where their story ended up. lulu and bill were more interesting and heartwarming.

if you adore romcoms and you love weddings, you're gonna need to put this on your radar for 2026 releases. this would be the perfect beach read and i kinda want a bonus epilogue of my babies, olivia and zack, living their very best life..

*thank you atria marketing for the early copy!*

4 solid stars for “Save the Date” by Mallory Kass, a rom-com 💕 about a luxury island wedding weekend 💒💍 gone very, very wrong. Kass is known for YA dystopian fiction, which may explain both comments about current affairs and the low spice🌶️ level, which I appreciated. I also appreciate that in this, her adult debut, she balanced multiple romantic storylines w/o dragging it into separate books like other rom-com authors might have. And I really liked how the three women MC’s 👰🏼‍♀️👩🏻‍💼👩🏻‍💻 friendships grew & evolved. This is a very fast paced & quite witty novel with lots of characters to track but it’s also a super fun read and right now couldn’t we all use a little happily ever after? (that ending🥲)!!! I truly enjoyed this book and found it perfect as a much-needed palate cleanser between thrillers.

Justice for Natalie & Jonathan 🤚 my favourite ship in the entire book and after all that angst we didn’t even get a proper epilogue of their hea 😩 also that kiss didn’t last long enoughhhhh.

Olivia and Zach were cuteeee.

Marigold annoyed and frustrated me so much omg like I would constantly find myself wanting her povs over with.

Overall a cute fast paced book with constant drama lmao.

Save the Date primarily follows three women: (1) The bride, Marigold; (2) The Maid of Honor and Bride's best friend, Natalie; (3) Olivia, the bride's older sister. The story takes place during Marigold's wedding weekend in Maine and tells the story of how each of these three women are dealing with issues in their personal/love lives while trying to keep it together in front of their family and loved ones.

As Marigold is preparing for her special day, she finds out that she never filed the divorce papers from her brief/impromptu marriage she had 4 years ago; she now has to fly to Canada to meet with her ex to get those papers signed. After a series of delayed flights, she spends time with Hugo and starts to get glimpses of the simple life she had with Hugo.

Meanwhile, in Maine, Natalie is doing everything possible to make sure her best friend's wedding goes according to plan and trying to forget that she has the biggest crush on Jonathan, Marigold's soon-to-be husband.

Olivia is not only dealing with some devastating/terrible news, but has to deal with the fact that the guy she likes brought a plus one (who happens to be a supermodel) to the wedding.

Overall, the story is very bingeable and entertaining; it's one of the books you can complete on a weekend.

Save the Date by Mallory Kass
Contemporary romance.
A wedding weekend changes the lives for three women: the bride, the bride’s sister and the maid of honor.
Matilda is excited to marry Jonathan. A doctor. A man who loves her. But a last minute paperwork detail needs to be taken care of before she can get married. She needs to find her current husband in Canada and ask him to sign divorce papers.
Olivia is the bride’s sister. She’s happy for Matilda but so tired of cleaning up after her. Her parents haven’t told Matilda some health news and on top of it all, her own date cancels. Should she take Zack up on his offer of faking a relationship? It might be easier to get through the weekend that way.
Natalie will do anything for bestie Matilda, even though Natalie herself is in love with the groom. Stepping in for the bride during the church rehearsal is a bit too much though.
As the weekend plans turn upside down, the three women have a very different experience than expected.

Sweet and introspective, all three women need to look seriously at their lives and figure out if they stay on the path or take a step sideways. It’s not too late.
Three times the happy. My heart is content.

I received this from NetGalley and Atria Books.

Marigold is getting married- if she can fly to Canada and get a quick divorce without anyone knowing.
Olivia is her corporate lawyer sister, who is crushing on a guy there (the wrong one). She is keeping it as secret from Marigold that their mom Lulu has stopped her cancer treatment and won’t be around much longer.
Natalie is the maid of honor, who has loved the groom Jonathan for 10 years in secret.

There is a lot to love about this book- I genuinely liked reading it and laughed out loud at several lines. The banter is elite and I did love the setting. The premise reminded me a lot of The wedding People as it was a very high luxury wedding at a resort and several characters.

What I didn’t like was the utter selfishness of all the characters- which I completely get was the point- but at the end it got a little harder to root for them. Except Lulu, who was a delight. This book could have used a precocious child or a dog.

That said, I very much enjoyed the pacing and consistency. I will go back and read more by this new-to-me author.

3.75/5

A nice, quick, movie-like read! It’s not only the soon-to-be bride whose life is about to change on her wedding day—her maid of honour and sister are in for some upheaval too.

Marigold is eager to say “I do” to Jonathan when a secret from her past unexpectedly jeopardizes her big day. She’s determined to leave childish things behind and prove she can make “adult” decisions—but everything unravels when that secret threatens to stop the wedding altogether.

Natalie, Marigold’s best friend, wants the day to be perfect. But is she overcompensating for the guilt of being in love with the groom since college? With Marigold off dealing with her crisis, Natalie has to face whether she can stand by while the love of her life marries someone else.

Olivia, Marigold’s older sister, is the fixer. She’s set on creating the perfect day for both her sister and their mom, who’s battling cancer. Olivia likes Andrew, but he’s playing hard to get. When she agrees to fake-date Jonathan’s best friend, Zack, to make Andrew jealous, she doesn’t expect to start questioning who she actually wants.

I enjoyed the rom-com, movie-style vibe. The female characters each had distinct voices and moments I appreciated, though I actually found the men more likable—they felt more relaxed and tolerable. While the three POVs started off strong, things felt a bit rushed toward the end, and I wanted more depth from the female perspectives.

Perfect if you’re in the mood for something light and fun.

I ACTUALLY LOVED READING THIS BOOK!

Usually I don’t read books that talk about more than one person, but this one was amazing. The book is about the story of 3 women and how they are connected and how their experiences affect the other’s life. I literally finished it in one day and I loved the ending of this book. I highly recommend everyone to read it.

Save the Date by Mallory Kass is a breezy romantic comedy that takes place at an extravagant wedding weekend in Maine. The story is told from the points of view of the bride, Marigold, her sister, Olivia, and her best friend/maid of honor, Natalie. Drama ensues as the three women are caught up in three different romance tropes: unfinalized divorce, fake dating, and a secret crush.

The novel is a fun, lighthearted read that doesn't require much critical thought. There’s a lot of chaos, secrets, lies, and poor communication between the characters. But ultimately I was satisfied to see the characters develop some emotional maturity (especially Olivia) and for everyone to get their happy ending. 3/5⭐️

⤷ 𝒷𝓇𝒾ℯ𝒻 𝓈𝓊𝓂𝓂𝒶𝓇𝓎

Marigold is getting ready to marry the man of her dreams...until she realizes her divorce papers were never finalized from her first secret marriage. Natalie, the maid of honor is credited for introducing Marigold and Jonathan, but no one knows she's been in love with him since college. Olivia has a lot on her plate during her sister's wedding, but fake-dating the annoying best man wasn't part of the plan.

⤷𝓂𝓎 𝓉𝒽𝑜𝓊𝑔𝒽𝓉𝓈

Listen. I love drama. I love weddings. I love Maine. But there was SO MUCH going on here. I was pretty hooked the whole time as the story moved between the three female leads each chapter. I just wish they were more likable. Marigold is vapid and irresponsible, but she judges all of her high-society friends for the SAME THINGS. Why does Natalie only have one friend?? She and Marigold might be super tight, but come on girl, meet some new people. Maybe stop JUDGING every person you meet SO harshly. Olivia's only personality trait is that she's a soulless bitch who never stops working and, you guessed it, judges every person she meets for every thing they ever do. And it's never explained why she hates Natalie so much either.

The drama was good though, I won't lie. There were a couple times I gasped. It was like watching a soap: highly unrealistic but extremely entertaining. I read this very quickly, considering I'm in a reading slump. Despite Olivia's annoying traits, her romance with Zach was my favorite to follow. I love a good fake dating and "only one bed" trope, especially at a wedding.

If you don't like cheating, this book is not for you. There is both emotional and physical cheating that takes place. Given the nature of the plot, I definitely saw it coming, but cheating always makes me less sympathetic for the characters. They knew what they were doing.

Also there way way way too many modern references in this book. I DO NOT WANT TO READ ABOUT AI GENERATED GIRLFRIENDS OR THE INSUFFERABLE MAN'S SUBSTACK, for goodness sake.

Thank you to NetGalley and Atria books for this arc in exchange for an honest review!

Thank you Atria Books & NetGalley for the arc!!

This was sweet, funny, and filled with so much drama! Overall, I had a good time with this. The characters felt realistic, there were great plot twists that kept me wanting to read, and it had some sweet, swoon-worthy moments.

With how real the characters felt, I was able to connect with them really quick - which was great in such a character driven book. BUT even thought it was so character driven, the plot also had me keep reading, needing to know what was going to happen next!!

I did have a couple of dislikes, which is what brought my rating down:
1. The pacing. Parts of the book felt a bit slow, causing me to get a bit bored.
2. The timeline switching. I was totally fine with the timelines swapping, but I would have loved some sort of title or something to tell us what timeline we were in.

Overall though, I had a good time! Would recommend if you’re looking for a sweet, fun, drama filled story with lots of great characters.

This fast-paced book has a familiar premise and a lot of potential to be original that is never achieved. If you’ve read or watched Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin, this book will feel very familiar to you. It follows the same story line with a few character and plot variations.

The book is written in three different third person POVs - the bride (Marigold), the bride’s sister (Olivia) and the maid of honor (Natalie). The writing in each section aptly reflected the individual personalities.

I found Olivia’s sections to be the funniest, most insightful and the sharpest. Her relationship with Zack, while not the focus of the book, was the one I enjoyed the most and was the one, I thought, that had the best development. Natalie’s and Marigold’s sections were less deeply developed as were their romantic interests, Jonathon and Hugo. If it weren’t for Olivia’s storyline, the book would likely have received a lower rating. Overall there isn’t a ton of depth to the story or the characters, although the storyline of the family matriarch’s health condition added some seriousness to the overall plot.

This was a cute, fast moving story that was enjoyable although sometimes a bit silly and awkward. The writing felt a little inconsistent, the ending was a bit too quick and tidy and the story plays out in a very predictable way. Nonetheless, I blazed through it and had a fun time reading it!

Thank you to NetGalley, Atria Books and Mallory Kass for the opportunity to read an advanced copy and share my thoughts.

This was drama filled and at first, it was a lot fun, but then some of these characters became insufferable. I found myself just rage reading by the end.

Marigold was so annoying. Like just make up your freaking mind already. The writing was on the wall with Hugo and just omg—she did not deserve him.

Olivia is the smartest idiot I’ve ever read. It was nice to see her soften up at the end but I wish it had happened sooner. I did feel bad for the weight she carried when it came to her mother’s secret.

Poor Natalie. It was nice to see her finally grow a backbone, but we got gypped in the epilogue. I’m sorry but I did not care about Bill and Lulu renewing their vows. I wanted to see some sort of ANYTHING for Natalie and Jonathan.

This whole book was just a lot of first world problems and I’m so over it.

Content: some language, brief vague open door
Closed door mods: ch. 21

We follow three POV’s in this romcom. Marigold, the bride. Natalie, the maid of honor and Olivia, older sister to the bride. Each has a full life, but none of them are really being seen for who they truly are. When a shocking secret comes to light, the wedding is thrown into disarray. Will any of our leading ladies ever find their happily ever after?

What a fun, entertaining romp! I had no expectations going into this book and I found it to be so much fun. I was so wary of following three potential love stories and how any of those were going to feel complete in such a short book, but the author really did a great job of creating these characters and telling each story from Maine to Canada and back!

I feel like the story had every trope in the book but yet it worked so well! I had been told that this was a closed door romance, and unfortunately it was not. There was one brief open door scene, and it was easy to skip without losing any story details.

Wedding chaos is fun to read about😆 and (this is such a small note, but it meant a lot to me) I love that the bride’s mother, as lavish as she was, wasn’t some crazed mother of the bride who didn’t care about anything but her own dream wedding. We see that character so often, and I love that this mother of the bride was a mother who fiercely loved her daughters and wanted the best for them. Fun book to add to the beach bag this Summer!

Spice level: low spice (one brief open door scene/easy to skip)

Thank you Atria books for the gifted ARC!!

Save the Date is a romantic comedy set over a weekend at the extravagant wedding of Marigold and Jonathan. Told in three separate POVs; we meet Marigold the fun-loving bride and social media influencer, Natalie the maid of honor who is secretly pining for the groom, and Olivia the bride’s sister who finds herself fake dating the best man to make her crush jealous.

My favorite storyline was Oliva’s fake relationship with best man Zack. When her crush Andrew arrives at the wedding with a model, Zack suggests the perfect way to make him jealous is to pretend they are in a relationship. I am a sucker for the fake dating trope. Not to mention Zack and Olivia have great banter.

Beyond the glitz and glamour and hijinks, each of the women has a secret they are struggling to keep. And while it is a romance, the relationship I was rooting for most was the friendship between them.

TW: Cancer

“That’s the one good thing about dying, everything feels special.”

Thanks to Atria, Simon Audio, LibroFm and Mallory Kass for my gifted copy of this book. I love partnering up with this crew, they never disappoint.

I was immediately sucked into this one. The characters were so fun and people I could easily see myself hanging out with.

Also this one is 𝑴𝑬𝑺𝑺𝑺𝑺𝑺𝑺𝒀 like so messy but don’t worry it’ll all work out in true Romcom fashion.

Marigold is a free spirit. She’s beautiful, the baby sister, and the girl everyone wants to protect. It’s almost time for her wedding when she peace’s out to handle some unfinished business and gets herself into a sticky situation.

Olivia is a typical overbearing eldest sister and fixer of the family, bearer of burdens. So it was really refreshing once she started catching feelings and softened a bit. She was a bit insufferable initially, which I appreciate because as a big sister I’m like that sometimes too but us big sisters we mean well.

Natalie the bestie of Marigold and the BFF. She’s a bit of a train wreck and feels like she’s always letting others down. She too gets herself into a kerfuffle of epic proportions.

I didn’t know what to expect with this book but it was a surprising new story for the beloved runaway bride novel.

Also 🥥Coconut milk being romantic is nothing I ever would’ve considered until reading this book. Mallory Kass made it swoony.

Save the Date was the perfect romcom needed on a day too hot to do anything but read. Gotta love California weather in February. And boy did I laugh throughout. Told in alternating chapters, our FMC’s, yes there are three, are gathered for a wedding which seems doomed from the get go. Marigold is marrying the man her best friend Natalie has loved since college, but like Sweet Home Alabama, the quickie divorce she thought she’d taken care of never was filed. Off she goes to find her ex in Canada leaving Natalie and Marigolds sister, Olivia, to handle to mess. These three women were hot messes, each trying to take care of flighty Marigold and the messes she makes. I enjoyed having the 3 women as our main characters, and their love interests kinda being second fiddle to the 3 relationships between them. There is a sad storyline about Marigold and Olivia’s mother being sick with Cancer, but the ending was so beautiful it took some of the sting away. I like how this author writes, the humor and the tension between our fmc;s and their love interests being thick. Nicely balanced.
Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC, as always these opinions are my own and I definitely recommend.

I loved this so much! I love books about weddings or set during a wedding and thought this one was perfect. Truly from the very first chapter I knew this book would be drama filled and entertaining and I was so hooked. I really enjoyed how there were 3 different POVs, because I felt like I got a good, well rounded feeling and understanding of the characters and their stories that way. I think it also added so much entertainment and drama, because there were so many different things going on with each POV that I never knew who I wanted to read about next! Loved that this was set in Maine, too. I think the setting makes it a perfect spring/summer read. I really enjoyed the female friendships and relationships in this book, too, and that it wasn't just centered around a romance. The writing was fast paced, witty, and engaging. I literally read this book in 2 sittings because I couldn't put it down. I needed to know what was going to happen next. I was happy with how each character's story ended, and I think the character growth by the end was great for each FMC. Each plot line was just so fun and I loved how it all tied up. I'd definitely recommend this book to people for their spring and summer reading lists. Thank you to the publisher for the arc in exchange for my review!!

This story is a wild romance, packed with lively characters all trying to make it through the biggest wedding of the year. Marigold, the bride, is about to marry her mature doctor fiancé, Johnathan, and wants people to see her as more than just a shallow influencer. But there’s a catch: Marigold is already married. The day before her wedding, she has to fly out, track down her husband, and get divorce papers signed, without anyone finding out. Natalie, the Maid of Honor, is determined to make sure everything goes smoothly, but she’s secretly been in love with the groom for years. Then there’s Oliva, the older sister, who wants the wedding to be perfect for their mom. However, she’s determined to hide a secret from Marigold until after the wedding. With so many secrets circulating, will the wedding couple say, 'I do'?

I liked reading Save the Date. The different points of view made it fun, and the wedding chaos led to a dramatic ending. Sometimes there was so much going on that I lost track of the story. I was not surprised by the conclusion but was really happy to see the book end the way that it did. I wish there had been an epilogue to show what happened to each couple a few months later, but I also liked that the ending was a bit open. Even though it wasn’t my favorite romance, I still enjoyed the story.

Thank you to Atria Books for sending me a widget and inviting me to read this, and to NetGalley also for providing the review copy of Save the Date. All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

Honestly, what a ride. This book was something else. You could hand me this plot as a script and I’d fully believe it was meant for a soap opera because the level of chaos in this was unreal. I don’t think I’ve ever read anything that juggles this many romantic disasters and twists at once.

First off, the bride is still technically married. Meanwhile, the groom has a crush on the maid of honour, and the said maid of honour has been silently in love with him since their college days. And if that weren’t enough, the bride’s sister decides to fake-date one of the groomsmen to get the attention of the guy she actually wants, only to accidentally fall for her fake boyfriend instead.

But the plot doesn’t even stop there. taking it upon herself, the bride decides to go and hunt down her still-husband in Canada to get those divorce papers resigned.

The narrative hops between three POVs, the bride, the maid of honour, and the bride’s sister, each offering their own version of events leading up to the wedding and own circumstances.

It’s messy, dramatic, and was sometimes hard to keep up with, but it was entertaining. A whirlwind of romantic entanglements that kept me equal parts confused and invested, and some did in the end get married!

Thank you to NetGalley, Atria Books and Mallory Kass for sharing this ARC with me, in exchange for my honest opinions and thoughts.

**A special thank you thank you thank you to Atria Books for inviting me to read this book. I am super honored and appreciative for this opportunity.

Save The Date is told in 3 POV's (which I totally love.) This book was so hard to put down, I couldn't get enough. It brought to mind all my favorite 2000's Rom-Com movies like: Sweet Home Alabama, My Best Friends Wedding and Something Borrowed. I love how Ms. Mallory took us through each person's story while weaving the inter-connected story, OMG 5 star Michelin chef's kiss. The character development and world building is phenomenal. The flow is perfect.

If y'all loved the 2000's Rom-Coms, then this book is for y'all.
I wholeheartedly recommend that y'all get y'alls hands on this book, trust me on this one. Y'all won't be disappointed.

Save the Date was everything I never knew I needed in a romcom. Three women, a bride, the sister and the best friend all work through their own personal struggles as they prepare a giant wedding in Maine.
The bride Marigold has a secret and a dilemma she has to resolve asap. Olivia the sister also has a secret and suddenly a fake boyfriend. Natalie the bff and maid of honor has a secret crush and struggles with feeling the odd one out compared to the others in the wedding party.
It was messy and sloppy and hilarious. But it’s also sweet and sad and introspective. I loved this book and if I’m honest I wouldn’t mind watching a big screen version of this from my couch one afternoon cuddled up in a blanket and swooning over the leading men.

My only criticism is the epilogue. Kass made me love all these characters and I wanted more of a teeny tiny glimpse of them in their futures. Just a little one beyond the wedding.

I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion.

Ok, the characters in this book are super interesting and feel incredibly real. But also...they are really terrible at communicating. And not very nice. I really just wanted all the main characters to stop worrying about love and get some therapy? I did love Hugo and Humphrey though, they were the best part of the whole thing!

I love a good wedding story, but Save the Date by Mallory Kass felt like stepping straight into the most chaotic, emotional, and entertaining wedding weekend imaginable.

This story follows three women tied to the same wedding, each carrying their own secrets, heartbreak, and hopes for what love could look like. What I loved most was how messy and real everyone felt. No one is perfect. Feelings are complicated. And sometimes the person you think you should love is not the person your heart chooses.

The drama kept me turning pages, but it was the friendships, sisterhood, and quiet moments of honesty that stayed with me. There were scenes that made me laugh, moments that made me cringe in the best way, and a few that genuinely surprised me. It reads like the romantic comedy you would happily watch on repeat.

If you enjoy stories about love showing up in unexpected places, complicated friendships, and the beautiful chaos of weddings, this one is a perfect weekend or beach read.

Messy, dramatic, yet heartwarming, endearing, and entirely riveting. Told from three POVs, this story follows several relationships. I felt like they were all relatable in their own ways. The messier the better for me, and friends to lovers is one of my favorites, so I found myself enjoying Natalie’s POV the most. But I loved all of them, and the different dynamics they brought. And as fun as the romances were, I truly loved the bond Marigold, Natalie, and Olivia had, and how they were there for each other.

The audiobook went so quick, I couldn’t put it down and the narrators were fabulous! Nikki Massoud, Allyson Ryan, Gilli Messer brought the characters to life in the best ways!

Sometimes you just need a book that’s so adorable that it makes you forget what’s going on around you…. While Natalie premieres as the good natured friend who never speaks up for herself and is quick to help others out as she sacrifices her own wants and needs…. You find yourself looking inward relating to her on so many levels. When Marigolds life unfolds before you, you identify her as your friend who just flits through life and everything just goes her way, but what is she actually hiding and how has she allowed others to just tell her how to live her life to get what she wants? There is so much more to this cute little book that’s serious in its own way but still makes you laugh out loud at the hi-jinx that unfolds.

Save the Date by Mallory Kass was such a fun and engaging read! I loved how the story switched between Marigold, Natalie, and Olivia, giving each woman a distinct voice and swapping between them at just the right moments. Marigold is determined to marry her perfect doctor fiancé, but her past threatens to unravel everything. Natalie, her best friend and maid of honor, secretly harbors feelings for the groom and has to decide whether to finally speak up. And Olivia, Marigold’s sister, just wants to make the day perfect for their mother. I really enjoyed how each romantic plotline unfolded differently but felt equally satisfying. The multiple perspectives added depth and emotion, and it was refreshing to read a love story that wasn’t just about one couple but a whole web of relationships, each messy, real, and heartfelt.
