While this story is a good idea, it was very poorly written. This book isn't even fit for publication. Not only for the obvious spell check typographical errors that need editing, but for the fact that the author repeatedly forgets where the characters are in the scenes. It's incredibly irritating to read. All of that aside, the characters are incredible personalities. I think if this book is rewritten with complete editing, it could be a very good read. As it is, it's not recommended.

Meh. I listened because it was free to listen on audible. They used AI voice and that was terrible. I think I may have enjoyed more actually reading the book. But I finished it so I gave it 2 stars.

This was one of those addictive books I couldn't put down. I'm living in my dark romance era and this book delivered and fed my craving. The twisted plot and intense chemistry the MCs shared made for a thrilling ride.
I love my MMCs morally-grey and obsessed Silas was all that and more. The lengths he went to for his desires had me gasping and kicking my feet with excitement.
Our FMC Lyra is not a weak and helpless damsel in distress. She's a fiery fighter.

Silas is hired to bodyguard the very flashy, OTT heiress from a stalker who has been gradually amping up their game. It was engaging, the characters of Lyra and Silas fiery with their chemistry, his possessiveness, her attitude, his competence, the suspense. One or two dropped threads (e.g. Lyra SOS called Zara and she was going to come see Lyra, but the next time she shows up, she’s in a club, not at Lyra’s). Overall a good, suspenseful read from a new-to-me author!

Where to begin.
Wasn't sure I was going to like it as the obsession started so quickly without a back story.
But I continued anyway.
Silas a former specialist, gruff and obsession driven shows Lara how to harness a world spinning out of control by taking control of her.
Lara's father a tycoon bent on destroying the people who show up to destroy him cage her which makes her defiant and a hell cat.
The mystery that unravels while the two navigate the dangers of her social life, her father and their lust had many twists.
Overall a great read for me.
Lots of dirty, dirty spice!

Lyras is a recluse billionaires daughter who thrives in the open but when a stalker threatens her her father hires Silas, the best in protection, but when he becomes obsessed with her, she fights his every move. But with a stalker out to get her, can she trust Silas to keep her safe? Well written engaging steamy desires, dark themes and more!

Yet another book I really want to like, but struggled to listen to it because of the virtual voices. They make it fairly hard to get lost in the story. Other than that, I did enjoy how the MFC rebuilt and came out stronger. I’m hoping to give this book another try by physically reading rather than listening.
