This is a super interesting read for fans of the page Spirit Daughter. I have enjoyed reading her bits of wisdom and inspiration over the years, so reading about Jill’s winding road to where she is now was surprising. I did find myself wishing that there were more specifics into different practices that she recommends. The book reads as a memoir more than self-help. All in all, I liked reading about her journey.

There were moments in the book that prompted some self-reflection, but overall I didn’t find there to be too much in terms of tools for your own journey.

Came for the astrology, stayed for the story.

Jill has had lots to deal with in her life. Beyond leaving a prestigious neuroscience program, she also had to outrun the Feds for years. Hearing that entire story was wild, but it is the prime example for the life lessons. The ones that must be learned by our souls in a lifetime.

No matter where you are in your spiritual journey, this is a great resource. We get to cover breath work, meditation, resilience, interconnectedness, and many forms of yoga. Sometimes, our lives must go off track to get on the path meant for us. This is a wonderful memoir AND spiritual guidance tool. Thank you to LFPL for having this available!

Let me say that I love the content Jill shares online which is why I bought her book.

This book is perfect for someone who hasn’t yet found their power or gone through their healing journey and wants to connect with someone who may have had a similar experience.

This book is NOT for someone who has already gone through their healing journey and has found their power but was maybe looking for more advanced tools or was curious how Jill may have used her birth chart on her path of healing and self discovery.

Maybe it’s my mistake that I assumed she would share much more about how she used astrology as a tool to either provide direction, validate, or confirm her decisions that she was on the right path. Outside of setting intentions following the lunar cycle, there is little about astrology.

Definitely more of a memoir. And if you’ve read other memoirs from people who experienced a healing journey, they all pretty much start sounding the same, including my own journey.

Not a bad book, just not for someone who is long past needing to heal and is deeply spiritually connected already.

Unless you are just genuinely curious about Jill’s journey.

This was a great way to learn about how she was inspired to start Spirit Daughter and her core life experiences that led her in this direction. I found myself highlighting several passages in the first half of the book that could apply to my intuitive journey and process of finding myself. She speaks from her heart and soul, directly to yours.

I really wanted to like the audio version but it was read too slowly. I stopped listening for a few weeks. I changed the speed to 1.3 and it helped some.

The fact that she was able to overcome and speak to all the challenges she endured was beautiful to see written out. The bits of knowledge and learnings would have been an absolute banger if there was more outlined in how to leverage them in a more tangible way. I’m grateful for reading this book at a time when it was so needed!

I love all that Jill stands for, but find it hard to relate to her because through reading her story, not once did she struggle financially. She was able to expand so broadly because the circumstances allowed her to fiscally with so much free time, so finding our individual “amazingness” in lesser circumstances (3D or not), it’s hard to conceptualize in its totality.

I did not enjoy the pseudo-scientific commentary about the connection between neuroscience and manifestation.
