I had everything figured out until my dad showed up and demanded my presence at the next family meeting. Bringing the men I love into a den of criminals might not be the best idea, but as I've come to learn, they can take care of themselves. When my dad completely sidelines my plans, I have no choice but to adjust to my new future. The right thing to do would be to disappear from the lives of Cain, Nox, Zane, and Sloane, but I never said I was a good person.
None of them have gotten up the courage to ask me out, but I'm too selfish to let them go now. I've got to keep them safe from the people who desperately want to prove that I'm not good enough for my new role. It's time to prove to these men that I can keep them and myself safe.
This mafia princess has resurfaced, and I have no intention of letting my responsibilities hurt those I care about
MFMMM. This is a dark why choose series with morally grey men and a badass FMC.
I almost want to say this is 2.5 stars rounded up because technically there wasn’t much wrong with it aside from some editing issues and “psychologically divergent” being dropped enough to be annoying.
I think the biggest thing is the MMCs are good enough to keep me interested, but the author/book would benefit from a content editor and good beta readers. There isn’t much in the way of plot or plot progression and feels like a lot of repeated days that don’t really move the character development or story forward. It’s great if you enjoy morally grey for the right reasons characters and their slice of life day-to-day interactions, but if you like stories with deep plots or good character arcs, you might find this one a little too basic.
Honestly, I’m not sure I will be continuing with this series. I enjoyed the MMCs enough in the first book to check this one out, but 8 days to finish 293 pages is kind of sad for me.
I adore this duet something fierce! It’s hilarious, spicy, a little unhinged, and interesting to read! Zane, Nox, Sloane, and Cain are all great characters. They each being something unique to Viv’s story, helping to build an incredibly addicting dynamic!
This book was a little tamer than book one, lacking the same unhinged action. It instead focused on building the relationships between Vic and her guys, which was very sweet to read.
I just love this series so far. It has a great storyline that you get totally in grossed in until before you even know it, you have read the whole book! I just love books like this that pull you into the story. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series!
Great second sequel! I love when the author manages to keep the same tone without losing the charm and realness of the characters. Looking forward to the continuing saga. Well done!
I don’t know why it’s so amazing - could it be the neurologically/psychologically divergent characters or the hilarious banter, the 🔥, or the storyline that just grips you from the first chapter.
I love this series for its banter and crazy personalities. There is very little story line development in this book and focuses more on their relationships.
Oh, what a perfect continuous of the series. I need and want to know what happens next. Please release the third book soon. Viv and her shadows are everything.
