It is the kind of book that transports you, each story has its own atmosphere and can stand completely on its own and yet within the scheme of the book it gains a bigger and much more layered meaning.. the writing is definitely good, however you might find yourself rereading some of the details not just to absorb the imagery completely but to be able to comprehend the story as a whole and not get lost.. the book is rich with faces and places that you might think you actually know but that will also add a new something to the way you saw them before.. my personal favorites were "جالا جالا" "عصير برتقال" "أسفار الجبل and "رسائل بيت الرمان"
