This book is a good read. Luca and Simone have a lot of chemistry. This is a very spicy read.

I absolutely loved this book! Our FMC Simone finds herself in a situation that requires around the clock protection. Enter her bodyguard who is a brooding, protective, and devastatingly handsome man who takes his job very seriously. Unfortunately for Simone her bodyguard is her brothers best friends and the man she secretly has wanted for years. Forced to stay by her side at all times, the tension between them quickly escalates from professional to deeply personal.
As they navigate threats from the outside world, their chemistry becomes impossible to ignore. But giving in to their feelings could complicate everything and put them both at risk. This is a steamy, action packed romance filled with suspense and irresistible chemistry! I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading more of Lark Monroe's books.

I haven't read much Bodyguard romances but if it's like this, gimme more. I loved the fact that they've been pining secretly and not so secretly over each other. I wanted to slap Luca a few times because just give in and be with her already and stop wasting time and that's what he did eventually. That crash into that town was probably one of my favorite scenes, like all the scenes after they were found by that sweet man, was my favorite. I can't say why but the vibe was just so precious and I hope they go back there and visit the family they stayed with. There were challenges in their relationship before, during and after but they fought them together and they chose each other even when there were doubts from family and friends. I love the way Luca supported Simone as well and vice versa. I just love a good yearning and pining and they had that.

Overall I give this book a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5. The vibe of the book was on point and I loved the brothers bestfriends and forbiddenness to it. The way they would have secret glances and the little things he would do for her to show he cared. The way they would have those secret moments that made it look like he was finally giving in but stepped back again. He fought it but over time he just couldn't and it was finally a THEY WILL lol. I loved the book alot.

Wowsers! The chemistry between Simone & Luca is so hot! I couldn't put this book down from the very beginning.
It's rebellious, electric & downright hot.
Luca comes from a humble background but his best friend's family is filthy rich, the family that pays his wage and pays him to protect his best friends sister. The same sister he's been fighting an attraction to for years.
She does everything she can to drive him crazy with jealousy, trying to get him to show her the kind of attention she really wants from him. Hot, sexual attention.
Once her life is in danger, the gloves come off and so does everything else! This is a must read. Lark really knows how to set the scene and keep the reader interested.

EMBEDDED WITH MY BODYGUARD is a steamy, OTT, instalove, mutual-pining, opposites-attract, forced proximity, girl gets her bodyguard and brother's best friend romance. Simone is a socialite who's involved in a scandal. Her parents send her off to an island until things quiet down. Luca is her hunky, broody, blue-collar bodyguard. He is also her brother's best friend. The two have secretly been pining for each other for years. Now, they find themselves in danger and Luca will do anything to protect her. The banter was hysterical, the chemistry was pure fire, and the ending was happy after all the danger and drama. I loved it. This was my first book by this author but not the last!.

Luca is the perfect mix of broody and protective, with just enough emotional depth to keep you hooked. Simone starts off as your typical spoiled daddy’s girl, but she grows into a more grounded, ambitious character—her natural singing talent adds a nice touch of authenticity. I appreciated the character development, especially Luca’s, though I was hoping for a bit more spice in the romance. Still, it’s a satisfying bodyguard romance with heart and just enough tension to keep the pages turning.

This was such a good read. I loved Simone, she was such a strong woman, she may have been in love with her brothers best friend but she certainly wasn't pining for him! Matteo made such a great fake boyfriend and best friend for Simone, I hope he gets a HEA!
And Luca, he was deep in denial but when he finally admitted the truth to himself, wow he went for it!!

This book has a great plot. There are a lot of grammatical mistakes throughout the book. There are missing words and connecting words. This may be due to the formatting to amazon or AI, but it makes it hard to read in places.

I love Simone and Luca. I love sassy FMC and a broody protective MMC. They had a lot of chemistry and I love a bit of suspense mixed in with my spice. This was a great easy read, highly recommend.
