She was the ghostly girl who crashed into the Preachers’ secretive world. With her pale hair, floaty dresses, and haunted eyes, Ophelia took one look at the three masked men and ran. But when they gave chase, and finally caught her, she was the one who trapped them, as she tore down the Preachers’ walls. She made them feel. They made her kneel. Except they didn’t know about the monster who still whispered in her ear. The man who stole her childhood. Now, she's gone. Ripped away by a family that never protected her, and silenced again by the voice that once destroyed her. But the Preachers don’t let go so easily. They know they are the only ones who can quiet the voice that torments her. And they’ll burn the world down to bring her back to them. That is their solemn promise.

Welcome back to Verona Falls University for book 2, The Preachers’ Promise by @marissafarrar. And it did not disappoint! If you love dark, college, suspenseful, emotional and super hot passion, this series is so for you!!
Our story picks up right where we left her with Ophelia being taken away by her parents while her Preacher's, Malachi, Roman and Cain are left standing in horror at why and hope to get her back. I loved book 2 because we get to drive way more into each of these characters. Opheilia~Growing stronger, learning confidence and exploring all things s$exual while fighting the internal battle against her captor, The Prophet. Cain~Her childhood friend gorgeous and sweet, who adores her and just wants to protect her. Malachai~Intimidating, harsh at times but totally all in to love her. And Roman~this man, he will break your heart. Tormented and lost, so much trauma he has been through and is so scared to open fully to the feelings he has to love. These four make the perfect combination of love, obsession, protection and the heat is pure fire between them!!!!
This story will take you on a rollercoaster ride as they work through their feelings, themselves and how to keep Ophelia safe! Drama, suspense, passion, obsessed men, healing, this book will pull you in and not let go! We are left in another cliffhanger and have until December to finally find out how this all comes together. Go read this series if you havent-the first 6 books with the Devils and the Vipers are just as good!

🖤 Dark college romance 🖤 Why choose 🖤 Masked men 🖤 Primal
Ophelia has been taken away from Verona Falls by her family after a letter arrived from someone she was friends with at the commune where she'd been held for six years. But though Daisy needs her help her father is just worried for her safety and wants to protect her (though he does it in the wrong way). She knows the safest place for her is with her Preachers, but he won't listen, and she worries that they'll forget about her.
Seeing their Pet being taken from the campus all Cain, Roman and Malachi can do is think of ways to persuade her father to let them bring her back. They know they will do everything to keep her safe and protected but when they go to see him, she's already been sent away. They all have their own dark pasts, can they find a way to save Ophelia from her current darkness?
Verona Falls university is full of mafia families with secrets, a dark steamy why choose romance (RH), controlling fathers, obsessive MMCs, attempted r@pe, trauma and plenty of twists - please do read the triggers. Cain is caring and protective, a childhood friend, Malachi is a sweet heart who loves to sing, particularly for her, and Roman is more spiritual and unsure why he thought she would split their friendship. I couldn't put this book down (you also see the Devils and Vipers who offer help in this) and with the way this one ends I can't wait for the next book in this series.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review.
You have to read the first book in this series before diving into this book. The Prachers' Pet is that book. This one picks up right where that one left off. Ophelia has been taken away by her parents while her Preacher's Malachi, Roman are left watching in horror and making plans to get her back. I don't know that I can tell you more because everything I have thought to say seems like a spoiler to me. I do love that this book has some serious character growth in it. Ophelia is stronger and more confident while fighting an internal battle against her captors. Cain is her childhood friend who wants nothing more than to protect her. Malachi is intimidating and really harsh at times. However, he is so in love with her. Roman is the man who will break her heart. He is tormented and lost and dealing with so much trauma. I loved these characters. They are so perfect for each other. Now I need the next book in my hands as soon as possible.
The Preacher's Promise is book 8 in the fantastic Verona Falls University series. It picks up Ophelia and her Preacher's, Malachi, Roman and Cains story where The Preacher's Pet left off.
"Imposing Cain, with his stature and bulk. Intimidating Malachi, with his dark eyes, and harsh tongue. Beautiful Roman, tormented and a little lost, like me."
This book will have you all twisted up! It's full of surprises, twists and turns and drama like you wouldn't believe. These characters are so easy to relate to, empathize with and completely fall head over heels in love with. Their journey is totally consuming and evokes all kinds of emotions. It ends on a cliffhanger and left me completely breathless breathless anticipating The Preacher's Prize. The Preacher's Promise is absolutely fantastic and a definite must read! The entire Verona Falls University series is absolutely phenomenal and must reads!
What a cliffhanger & trap!!! Ok so from the beginning of this book you have to remember that the guys told her some of their secrets from their past but not all secrets were revealed. Her parents take her then commit her into a facility that wasn't checked properly only by the Dr that treats her father's men. We all know the facility isn't what it seems from the time they pick her up. The guys rescue her & face the consequences afterwards, however Ophelia finally takes a stand towards her father and the Dr. Now back at Verona Falls with extra security, an unknown person decides to make herself known. Is she friend or foe? Is this a trap for Ophelia? Will all hel! Break loose on the grounds? Will the Devils & Vipers help the Preachers in another rescue & decimation of a cult? Will her father finally step in to help not hinder? This is what we hope is answered in the final book when the past meets the present.
Because this book was set in multiple locations, it was almost easy to forget that these are college students. They are out there making big life changing decisions.
Ophelia's parents collect her from college due to a perceived threat wanting to keep her safe from harm under armed guards at home. She doesn't even get a chance to say goodbye to the Preachers, which was devastating for all involved. It was as if she was being kidnapped from her new found family.
We go on a journey of discovery both about their harem, find out more about all their back stories which is tragic and harrowing depending on the individual, the cult and what the future holds. I'm all for discovery, self reflection, and growth and we get plenty of that.
Read Book 1 went to bed and couldn't sleep for more than an hour and jumped into Book 2. Looking forward to the final installment.
Trigger warnings for abuse of all kinds, notably sexual assault and rape.
We start up the book right where we left in Preacher's pet, i.e. Ophelia being taken by her dad from the university to "protect her". And we all know how good that'll go. The twist here is that everyone freaks out when Ophelia has her episode (hearing Prophet's voice), and her dad decides to ship her off to a mental facility (i know....), but our guys are there to save the day, and damn when Roman loses his head over the scene he walks into i was squealing and kicking my feet!
I loved this book. it set up more of our characters, as well as developed their feelings for each other. I can't wait for the last book, because that one will be one wild ride!

REVIEW
This story picks up right where the last left us. The guys are pulling their hair out trying to figure out where their Ophelia went, who took her, and why.
Ophelia is beyond mad, why did they take her away from Verona Falls, she was doing so much better.
From the first chapter until the cliffhanger at the end this story is nonstop action, suspense, an emotional rollercoaster going off the rails.
Who can they trust? Who can Ophelia trust? What a wild ride!

This book starts off right where we left Ophelia and the Preachers. Ophelias father really doesn't want to listen and is set on a path he wants obeyed. No matter the damage it causes. Ophelia is once again in a situation no one should be. But not to fret, we know those Preacher boys are going to do everything possible to get their girl. And through some quick thinking we find the foursome back together, trying to over come all their mental hang ups. But in true author fashion for this duo, this books leaves on a cliff hanger. I will say it's one of their milder ones though.
I’m not sure why it didn’t post my original review so here’s a condensed version. DNF @ 75%, repeat dialogue, character mix ups (one guys is driving the car then all of a sudden a different guy is). At least 50% of this book is sex. I don’t mind smut but the first two had great plots and this one has completely been over shadowed. I was looking forward to continuing this story so I’m pretty disappointed. This seems to be the theme with this series. The first two books rope me in, the third and fourth just fall flat.
Right away I was pulled back into Ophelia's story. It picks up right after she is taken home. I spent the first part of the book on the edge of my seat wondering if the Preachers were gonna rescue Ophelia. Needless to say, I was captivated. This book had suspense, twists, drama, and spice. It was also filled with great emotions at times. We learn more about our Preachers and Ophelia continues to battle her inner demons. We also see our characters growing closer and slowly healing. I think this was a fantastic addition to the series! I cant wait for book 3!!!
We are back with Ophelia and the Preachers, Cain, Roman, and Malachi in book eight of the Verona Falls University series. This book picks up where book seven, The Preachers' Pet, left off so make sure you read it before starting this book. Ophelia goes through a lot in this book, and the Preachers will do whatever it takes to make things right. This is a page turning story packed with danger, suspense, drama, violence, unexpected twists, steam, and a cliffhanger ending that left me so ready for the next book. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Every Verona Falls book has been so amazing! When I’ve gotten to the end of the first and second books of the Devils and the Vipers I was on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book. But this set is just captivating. Each of the Preachers and Ophelia have trauma, but they seem to be healing each other. I can’t wait for the The Preachers Prize!.

I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book and it was so worth the wait. Their story continues where we left off and it is packed full of so much action, suspense, and heat.
The character growth is divine. I absolutely loved the development between the guys and Ophelia. I couldn't get enough and am obsessed with them. With so much juicy drama I was flying through this book.
I'm yet again left dangling off another cliffhanger and I'm so eager for the conclusion to their twisted romance.
Okay. I thought I loved the Vipers and the Devils, I mean Kirill and Zane are droll worthy. But these preachers. They are right up my alley. The darkness, witchcraft and the whole vibe is scrumptious. Malachi is my favorite but Roman is a close second. I am addicted to Verona Falls and their guys. Gimme more. Thank you for the ARC. I feel so honored to have gotten the chance to review this.
This took off right where the last book ended and wow it really kicked off! I was hooked right back in and loved every second of it, the twists, turns and danger! New characters and key developments in the plot were addictive. Cant wait for the conclusion!.

Picks up with Ophelia back trapped in her parents home after they took her. The Preachers going out of their minds wanting her back. We get to see another side of the guys, they seek outside help to get their girl and to protect her. The twist and turns the level of heat. The new cliffhanger is even more impressive.
The stakes are definitely getting higher. When the Preacher's pet is stolen they will do anything to get her back. They prove to Ophelia and everyone else that nothing can keep them apart. That they will destroy anything that threatens their family. I can't wait to read the conclusion of this amazing series.
Picking up from the previous book we have Ophelia and her preachers, Roman Malachi and Cain, the twists keep coming as ever the suspense is high, with action drama desires and a cliffy that has you craving more a great addition to the series
This was a good continue to the first book. You really got to see how Ophelia life at home is. The guys go to great lengths to get her back and prove they can protect her. Roman, you see more of his trauma and how they affects his life.
Taken From Them Ophelia is taken from her Preacher’s by her father to “keep her safe”. Wrong move. What she needs are the men who love her and will do anything to help her. Can they save her, can they rid her of the Prophet? Can they be enough for her?!
This series continues to live up to its promise. These characters are amazing in their resilience and determination to heal. I didn't see the curves coming and can't wait for the conclusion!
Eh, this just isn't doing anything for me. I'm committed to finishing the series but I just can't connect to or care about any of these characters...frustrating...
Ophelias father is a problem, but the men in her life will come to her rescue to prove the love and loyalty they have for her! A lusty, dangerous and story of love!!
A warning is once again presented in intro. The Verona Falls University reads are not a walk in the park. Each character has an issue of some type, being physical, mental, trigger etc. concern of mental health matters to all.
We are still on the path of the Preachers - Cain, Malachi & Roman. Their universe - Ophelia. The sun and planets living together. Light & Darkness. Demons & Angel. Shadows - each one has a deep need they cannot find. Fear is their shadow. Inside we are safe, outside we are prey. This is what the united 4 are conquering to survive.
A surprising twist being the Vipers aiding in their cause.
This was climatic in the end. The question was always there regarding Ophelia being kidnapped. The question is why and who arranged it? Was her Father involved or another Mafia Family? Just as the Preachers have found a path to salvation, their road has come to a crossroad of anticipation. Anticipation of what’s next. The hunt is on -: * the Prophet * Daisy ? * haunted * quiet the monster - destroy him.
This is what we will be anticipating in the conclusion of the Preachers. It’s the HOW & WHO we need a conclusion to. Will the Vipers assist?
