Five years ago, my fated mate died in my arms.

Now his brothers want revenge.

I never chose the man I married. The alpha who forced me to be his bride also murdered the only man I ever loved, my fated mate, Brennan. I’ve spent years waiting for a chance to destroy him from the inside.

But my revenge doesn’t go as planned. Brennan’s brothers slaughter the pack I was trying to flee…and when they find me, they think I’m the traitor who helped kill Brennan.

Until they see the terrified boy clinging to my leg.

My son.

Brennan’s son.

Now I’m a prisoner in their home. I’m trapped with four dangerous men who are as haunted by Brennan as I am.

Stone, the brutal warrior torn between his need to protect me and to punish me.

Shaw, the charming heartbreaker who becomes my fiercest protector.

Cole, the disciplined second-in-command who teaches me to fight—and strains against his loyalty to his alpha for my sake.

And Liam, the mysterious, broken man who heals my shattered pieces.

They don’t trust me. I don’t trust them.

But our son loves them like he’s known them forever.

And I’m starting to wonder if the bond we share with Brennan might be strong enough to save us all.

But my ‘husband’ is still out there, and if he can’t have me, he’ll make sure no one can…

Book one:
The Darkest Mark:
The Darkest Mark is an exciting fast paced book to read. The characters are very descriptive as to what role they have in the storyline. The heat level is high 10 plus for my rating scale 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.
The main character Amelia or Amy as her friends call her; I found to be super amazing for what she went through. Watching someone you love be killed very brutally is not what one wants to see. Being forced into an unwanted marriage to a man that is the Pack Alpha and you don't love and being a mom of a small son of 4; who she loves so deeply and needs to be protected from all the dangers around them.
Stone the Alpha of the King Wolf Pack is very closed off since his brothers death, Cole, Stone's second in command is a very caring man, Shaw; Stone's Brother, cares deeply for Amelia, Liam; Stone's older Brother, he had a special gift, Karissa; Stones sister, who has a caring heart for Amelia, and Theresa and she is like Stone's third in command. so pretty much all of the King Wolf shifter pack get along with Amelia .. but Stone has a funny way of showing it.
This book has all the feels and romance one could want.. I give 5 stars because of the amazing characters and I can't wait to read the next book.
Book 2: The Unbound Moon
The Unbound Moon is the 2nd book in the Darkest Mark trilogy. I loved reading it. It has lots of excitement that kept me enthralled in it's pages as soon as I read one chapter I had to read the next one to see what was going to happen.
The Characters are super exciting specially Stone.. Pack Alpha and super broody when Amelia isn't there to keep him on his toes.
Cole - Stones 2nd in command and best friend trains all of the cubs so that they know how they can protect their alpha and themselves if the enemy approaches.
Liam the ever so quiet and gifted. Liam is my favorite of the King Brothers because he is super caring and Understanding when it comes to Amelia.
Shaw I find to be a funny and carefree character that makes me laugh with his antics.. everyone needs a friend like Shaw. But when it comes to Amelia he is in protection mode with all of his brothers.
Amelia is Strong and brave .. and very protective when it comes to her son Dylan.. you have to love a protective mom.
Teresa or T. as she is nicknamed from Stone is as predictable as ever when it comes to training the young cubs as she calls them. she sees it how things should be.
Wolf or the Rogue .. is a mysterious character.. but I have my hunches on who he is.
So if you love Werewolves, Action, Mystery and Fated Love then this book is for you.
Book 3: The Brightest Bonds
The Brightest Bonds is the 3rd and final book in The Darkest Mark trilogy. I'm sad to see it end as I loved the characters in the story. This book had so much action and excitement that it kept me flipping through the pages as fast as I could. I loved reading The Brightest Bonds.
Amelia at the end of book 2 got taken or actually went willingly with her Bond Mate Brennan and the Vampires. His Pack members didn't recognize who he was they referred to Brennan as the Rogue. Amelia wanted to see where Brennan had been living and to see if she could help him get his memories back.
Brennan or the Rogue is Amelia's first bonded mate he was said to be dead as the leader of Amelia's pack killed him or so they thought that is what had happened to him. As to Brennan's memories he doesn't remember his family only Amelia.
Cole is like the second in command and best friend to all of the brothers.
Aiden is Amelia's brother and he loves he sister very much.
Rose is Amelia's younger sister and Dylan's aunt.
Lawson is Amelia's best friend and always tried to protect Amelia as she was growing up.
Karissa is Brennan's younger sister and she has an attitude that keeps her family inline. I love Karissa's take no for an answer attitude.
Shaw is Brennan's brother along with Stone, Liam which is the youngest brother and has special gifts. all of the brothers and Cole love Amelia and will do anything to protect her from harm.
So if you love Sassy heroines, 5 hot brothers, Snarky Attitudes and happy endings. The this book just might be for you.

This is the full series of the three books. I split each of my reviews into each book to keep what was going on strait.

This book has just pulled me in and I am loving it so far. I know it’s just book 1 but I am already so invested in the characters and what happens next. The book is telling Amelia’s story about her struggle to live with the man she was forced to marry. He is the Alpha wolf of her pack and not a very nice man. From the start we learn that her son isn’t his and she fears the day he learns this and is in a constant state on worry for them both. As the story slowly unfolds we get to see glimpses of what happened and why she is ended up him and what she has had to endure just to survive. Eventually her and her son Dylan are stolen by the brothers from the pack that the child’s father is from. This should be good but they are enemies to her current pack so she is not excited for this turn of events at first. As she spends time with the brothers Stone the new Alpha, Liam the broken one and Shaw the flirt she becomes conflicted. She wants Dylan to know his dad’s family but she worries it is not the safe place she hoped it would be for them. She is in constant turmoil trying to decide if they should stay or leave. I’m just a wreck as it seems like there is never going to be any peace for Amelia and Dylan even though she is making some progress with the family.

This second book was just amazing. Watching Amelia build her relationships with the men in the King pack is just amazing, then her revenge and the rogue real. There is just so much going on in this book but I feel like if I speak on any of it here it’ll spoil the book for everyone. I am definitely excited to find out more about our rogue wolf and see where this story goes. From the very start we get these little teasers about the rouge and then we jump into saving Amelia, then building her relationships to that crazy cliffhanger ending.

After that cliffhanger on the previous book I was so excited to dive into this final book. We finally find out the rouge is Brennan and he kidnaps Amelia and Stone and takes them back to the vampire palace. While there we slowly get to learn about Brenna, vampires, their plans for Amelia and throw in some fae.
Just an amazing end to a wonderful series. I feel in love with the king pack from book one and have loved seeing how their relationships have evolved and how Amelia just completes them all. I just adore Breanna and my heart just hurts for him and everything he went through. He wants to do good for Amelia and is trying to figure out how that works in his world of vampires and fae. This book defiantly took me on an emotional rollercoaster but had me in happy tears by the end. There was just so much going on and I was worried things weren’t going to get wrapped up in enough time but everything falls into place by the end of the book. I was so happy to see them be able to finally get their HEA. This was a great short series read and I absolute recommend it for those looking for a quick read series. It has a little bit of everything wolf shifters, vampires, fae, enemies to lovers, second chance romance and a few others I’m sure I’m forgetting

An amazing series that brings amazing characters and a plot that will hook you.

Review for each book of the series

The Darkest Mark
The first book in the shifter series. I loved the characters. At times I did want to strangle some of them and yell for them to just communicate but shifters, especially alphas, are strong headed. There are several main male characters but Amelia is definitely the main female. She is the type you just want to give a hug to and try your best to help her. And her son is just the cutest thing. The alphas in her life have made a mark on her and mostly not in a good way. The story does follow her but also several others. We get to see things from several perspectives. Being the first book there is a cliffhanger and you will want the next story. So make sure you have a Kleenex handy for this one.

The Unbound Moon
This series has me hooked. The plot has plenty of twists but it’s all the tension between the characters that keeps things exciting. Be it romantic, friendship, family or the bad guys there is tension everywhere. I love Amelia and her ability to continue to fight even when backed into a corner. This is the second book and we get lots of answers as Stone won’t stop until all his enemies are destroyed. Plenty of fighting and action. And the romance heats up and gets pretty spicy. Has a cliffhanger but you’ll love it.

The Brightest Bonds

An amazing conclusion to the trilogy. We watch as a ghost of their past comes back. But will it be a nightmare or dream? For Amelia nothing ever seems to go easy but she never stops trying. She would go to the end of the world for those she loves. Her relationship with her men will grow as well as her power. The story is filled non-stop with action and danger. With vampires and fae you never know what they will do and who to trust. But can she trust the one person who just may break her? The story had me transfixed from start to finish. The author has made some amazing characters with a plot that will keep surprising you.

If you're on the fence about reading this series, I HIGHLY recommend!!

Book 1: The Darkest Mark
May and her writing never ceases to amaze me! Amelia's fated mate was killed years ago because of one Alphas crazy obsession. She was forced to marry him and live a life as a victim. Her mates brother swore revenge and Amelia and her son ended up with her mates family only to be their prisoner. Stone, the alpha and brother, of her mates pack thought she set up Brennan to be murdered and wants to find out the truth. Only Amelia seems to be more to him and some of his pack mates. The ending hurt and I only wish that I had the second book so I could find out what happens next.

Book 2: The Unbound Moon
Oh finally some answers!!! But we are left with a few more questions, or at least I am. Amelia, Cole, Shaw, and Liam have an easier time with their feelings and I am so rooting for them. Stone is your typical alpha hole who thinks he must have control over everything even his feelings. Hopefully he can figure himself out before he loses a good thing. Events at the end of the book were unexpected but definitely had me throwing a fit like a kid for the next book. I can't wait to see what May has in store for us!!

Book 3: The Brightest Bonds
What a way to end the series!! Finally everything we've wanted to know all wrapped up in these pages. Vampires, Fae and Wolves oh my. Everyone wants Amelia in some way or another. After the hell she's been through I'm glad to see her grow into the strong woman that she is and she gets the HEA she was always hoping she'd find. Definitely a series you want to pick up if you haven't started already.

I am torn

I wanted to love this in its entirety. Some parts were great. Too many others fell flat for me. There were so many opportunities for world building, but it was replaced with an exasperatingly copious amount of 🌶️🌶️🌶️. Considering I love me really good “clutching my pearls” moments, it says a lot. The different realms made zero sense and I couldn’t picture what they were like. The end “fight” felt rushed and flat and anticlimactic. The way the different packs were in alliance or war just disappeared from the story with no real explanation. Liam and Brennan could have been developed so much more, as it was really only when the point of view was theirs did I actually get interested (note- before Brennan returned with Amelia and Stone, because after was really ).

When I realized the MFC was a victim of DV and SA, I fully prepared myself to have a some hard moments, but it never happened. No matter how much I read, I felt nothing for her. Her “growth” felt forced and unrealistic. I just couldn’t connect with her (or any of the other characters) and emotional investment, even if it opens up old wounds, is necessary for me to not regret continuing to read something.

I hope future books written start to fine tune the art of how to create characters who make you feel something, whether those feelings are negative or positive. Just something. I know I may be the minority in my opinion. I will still explore other books by the author, in hopes I find a book that makes me scream my accolades from the rooftops.

𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑫𝒂𝒓𝒌𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒌

Amelia has had to endure so much—the death of her fated mate and finding herself held under the abusive thumb of a pack alpha.

When her fated mate’s pack mates cut a bloody path on her wedding day, she thinks they are there for her. Amelia soon realizes it’s not her they’re after….

The Darkest Mark is full of heartache, angst, intrigue, and spice. This story is intense and I’m totally invested in what happens to Amelia and her son. Can’t wait for the next book.

𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑼𝒏𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅 𝑴𝒐𝒐𝒏

Unbound Moon is one wild ride. Amelia is on the run with her siblings and nothing goes as planned. It’s drama filled with surprising twists.

Some questions are answered, but more questions are left unanswered…who is Wolf? What are the vampire’s intentions? Who are friends or foes?

As Amelia attraction grows for certain men, we see new and old relationships developing. Be ready for a doozy of a cliffhanger because it all culminates down to this…

𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑩𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝑩𝒐𝒏𝒅𝒔

Brightest Bonds concludes Amelia’s story. This book was a doozy. Creating turmoil, angst, and heartbreak. We begin where the last book ended. Brennan kidnaps Amelia, with no recollection of her at all. Amelia won’t give up without a fight and come h3ll or high water she’s determined to make Brennan remember. This series is one emotional rollercoaster and you’ll definitely want to jump on this ride.

DNF at 70%

I tried to love this series, and I honestly got pretty far though there were some small things a long the way that irked me. The further I got the more they piled on. Brennan was mentioned A LOT. I mean I get it but geez! Made it kinda easy to figure out the twist.

Which BY THE WAY! How the Amelia found out was super underwhelming?!?! Like she had no reaction at all and you would think she would pass out or something because the guy she was in love with and mated to and saw die before her eyes was actually alive?!? But no, she just called him by his name non chalantly , I was so confused I had to flip back a page or two to reread what the heck I missed, spoiler alert, nothing. And then stone was the same way! A non reaction. That really pmo.

And then stone wakes up from like a magical coma and she’s like let’s have sex?!?? They don’t even like each other!!!! They have the weirdest freaking relationship dynamic. If you find me skimming through sex scenes, it’s gonna be a no from me dog.

This book brings a great trilogy into one book.

Here’s my reviews of the individual books that are included:

Very good start to a series. Captured me from the word go and was an intriguing story line. Can’t wait to see where things go as it continues!

This one picks up right where book one ends, after a mysterious characters prologue, so straight into the action. Lots of character building, and some answers but lots more mystery. I personally enjoyed this one even more than the first! Of course we get hit with one hell of a cliff hanger too, to get us excited for the next. Highly recommend

The final book in this trilogy, and it’s a great one. I have no idea how she managed to fit so much in, and wrap up all those loose ends without feeling rushed. Highly recommend this trilogy, action packed but deep in the character side

Complete collection

For those who waited...it's here! The whole collection from the Darkest Mark is now available to readers who like to have all the books at their fingertips.

The Darkest Mark is a shifter RH book series that left me breathless. Amelia is the FMC and her story is heartbreaking. She has been through so much but keeps moving forward for her son Dylan. I really liked how the author wrote so many of the insecurities and trust issues that the characters experienced into the story. And not just Amelia, but Stone, Shaw, Cole, and Liam, they all have their own things to work through.

There are a lot of twists and turns throughout this collection. Be ready to get hit with all those emotions as you keep reading to see if Amelia will get her HEA.

This is hands down my favorite book by May Dawson so far.
Amelia is a female wolf shifter who is married to an alpha from the longroad pack but he doesn't treat her fairly and she doesn't actually love him, her one true mate Brennan is gone but is he really???
Amelia and her son get kidnapped by another pack and finds out their the siblings of Brennan and she ends up for falling for a couple of them, but then things get complicated and she plots to get away.
This book is full of everything suspense, love, hate, action and a bit of spice.
I'm sad it ended on a cliffhanger and I can't wait to read what happens next.

This is the complete series…and what an amazing series it was!

The Darkest Mark was so good. The tension between the FMC & her mate's family was high! Everytime you think they're finally getting somewhere, May throws a curve ball and all the trust built shatters. There is so much speculation on who's watching Amy, once you get to the end it's almost disappointing because you're so close to getting some answers. Definitely edge of your seat story & cliffhanger! This book did not disappoint at all. If you like wolves, fated mates, love/hate, sexual tension & more this is a MUST READ! FMC + hard headed men = you won't regret picking this book up!

Amazing series. I couldn't put these books down. I was sucked into from the beginning.Amelia has been through so much in her life the past five years, it’s hard to imagine how anyone could handle everything. Her mate Brennan was murdered and she was forced to wed his killer. She continues day by day for her son Dylan. Her mate's family and pack show up for revenge and take her and Dylan away with them. They blame Amelia for Brennan's death. She starts falling in love with Stone, Shaw, Liam, and Cole, which scares her more then anything. She still loves and hurts over Brennan. She wants to be free and safe, but can she stay and achieve this?

Amelia

This little box set is focussed around Amelia it's a very sad (dark) storyline, but I did not realise it was a RH (5 mates) I am not a fan of them I like one and only fated, plus I find to much sex filling the pages and to me she feels thickal. But I did like all characters, I don't want to give away spoilers but will say I hoped Dylan would have the power to heal after all he has two fae DNA,sadly that did not happen, sad we never got the name of the baby girl.
I guess we could have another box set with kids grown and find these details out later.
It did feel unfinished to me, but it did have weddings and a end.

I absolutely LOVE this series! This series is filled with twists and turns and scenes that made me question my sanity. I loved the main characters, even if some of them made me want to pull my hair out at times. Honestly this was a complete rollercoaster of emotions for me, but I was definitely satisfied by the end. May Dawson never fails to fully pull me into each of her worlds and keep me there until the very last page.

So many grammatical errors. It felt like some conversations didn’t make any sense. Like two different conversations happening at once. The different realms didn’t make sense. There were no explanations about them or how it worked….just “we are here in a new realm but gotta get home. Ope! Here’s a portal…bye!” The end was super rushed and the fight scenes were so poorly written. I wanted to love this series but I just couldn’t.

Great Trilogy

I really loved following Amelia through this journey to escape a horrible life to protect her son, leading to a pack that she never thought would accept her. My only gripe was the last few chapters and some typos and continuity errors. Can't go into details about my issues with the ending, but still totally worth the read. I highly recommend.

Great Series!

This was a very emotional series! Lots of past trauma and everyone is just trying to work through it. I enjoyed the fun banter and how each book got spicier than the previous book! The plot had many twists and turns which made it even better!
