Yet the involvement of Lucifer and Archangel Michael in human affairs gives birth to an era of magic and half-Archangels, the time of Merlin, Arthur, and Nimue. At this crux of time, plots that have spanned centuries are revealed as the Sangreal tries to discover a human enlightened enough to return it to Heaven.

About the author

I write and read fantasy and historical fiction, both novels and short stories. I'm interested in most fantasy, historical, and esoteric books, and I love old books too. I love reading lots of books at once, though I usually only write one story at a time.

I have also studied theoretical physics and have a Masters degree from The Perimeter Institute in Waterloo. Before that, I went to Carleton University in Ottawa and studied physics with a minor in philosophy. I love ancient philosophy, especially Plato, Plotinus, and Lao-Tzu.

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel! I loved that it was written from the perspective of the Holy Grail. This aspect alone makes this novel a delightful read! Mary-Jean does a great job weaving traditional religious stories to the lore of Arthur and Merlin. This mix of storylines combines well and makes total sense in the story. Another thing I loved about this story is that it has some surprises I wasn't expecting, which is always a plus in my book!



You don't need to be religious to enjoy this story. If you enjoy stories that are a little different and cause you to think then this would be a story for you. Since it is just a novella it makes for a quick, enjoyable read.

I liked the approach of telling an Arthurian tale from such an unusual POV, but it needed one more line edit.
