Bought this book, being an avid listener (and Patreon sponsor) of the podcast from Mat and Peter Bom.
Thoroughly enjoyed it, having finally had the time to sit and read it during an illness. Whilst Mat (and I, for that matter) is a fan of Marc, the book is based on interviews from competitors, engineers, and crew chiefs. If people are (biased) fans of other riders, they may not accept the assertions - for real motorcycling fans, it really explains why Marc is a once-in-a-generation talent.
It also gave further insights into why he struggled in the run-up to the injury. What would be hugely beneficial would be for Honda to release the race data for Sepang 2015.....
The cover for this entry in Goodreads is incorrect, but the English version, titled Marc the Magnificent, does not have an ISBN. The book is a strange, almost square, shape. Other than a few minor errors and typos it is a brilliant read. Mat’s writing is excellent, his knowledge of the sport and of wider history, current affairs and popular culture allow him to embellish what is already an incredible story with added depth and nuance. This book is a must read for anyone wanting to learn more about modern-day MotoGP and of Marquez as well of course.
