I was trying to drink my problems away again at the bar.
Then Jet walked in and my roommate freaked out.
I couldn't have cared less about him but somehow I caught his eye and he wouldn't leave me alone.
I tried to tell him that I had just gotten out of a relationship but he didn't care.
He wanted to sleep with me, but would I give in?

Not For Me

I loved "The Boss", written by this author, so I thought "Broken" would be a sure thing. Man, was I wrong! The characters were horrible and the storyline was poorly executed. There wasn't any humor like I loved in her other series either. I just finished the first book and I definitely won't be continuing this series.

Natalie, the heroine, had her heart broken by her two-timing ex boyfriend. After she caught him in a compromising position with her best friend, she lost her faith in love and relationships. Instead of dating or moving on with her life, she chooses to spend her nights getting drunk at a bar, having her own little pity party and verbally castrating any male that tries to flirt with her. Written differently, she could have been feisty. Unfortunately, she just came across as a bitter, nasty, bitch! Just saying.

Then there's Jet, the MMA man-whore, who for some unknown reason takes a liking to this black widow. He seems determined to break through her glacial exterior. Only, his attention span is pretty short and in no time he's back to his old ways. I don't really blame the guy, but it does kind of ruin the whole "I'm trying to win Natalie over" theme, which is kind of the whole point of the story.

The whole story was just anticlimactic and disappointing. Didn't like the characters. Didn't care for the story. Just not for me.

THIS WAS SOMEWHERE BETWEEN A 2.5 STAR & A 3 ... STORY WAS OK BUT THE CHARACTERS AT TIME WERE QUITE ANNOYING. THE SCENE AFTER THE CLUB WHERE NATALIE RUNS TO JET WAS QUITE PATHETIC TO BE HONEST. WHAT SEEMED LIKE A STRONG GIRL WHO WASNT GOING TO FALL FOR HIS CHARM TURNED INTO A DESPERATE JEALOUS GIRL WHICH I FOUND ANNOYING.

Okay, so I've had this in my library for a long time and decided to give it a try finally. I personally didn't like it. Natalie was way to wish-washy and Jet wasn't anything special. Plus, I HATE cliffhangers! Just didn't do it for me.

Natalie is a pain in the ass. I skimmed 95%. Thankfully it was a short. Don't need to know what happens next. Writing was too juvenile for my taste as well.

Broken by Claire Adams
I'm not really sure where to go with this one. It is a good plot, really interesting, but that's about it. A huge, seemingly unnecessary, cliff hanger. It is only a little over 100 pages, so it feels like it should have just been longer and told the whole story. Also, it is written in a sort of juvenile style, then ends with an R rated love scene. It drops a star for editing and grammar. I would have read more, but these characters did not pull me far enough in.

Just why?
Why are there so many books in this series. It could have been done in 1 book.
The repetitive was to much.
And I don’t mind reading about MMA but I don’t want to become 1.
And again she is ridiculous and I liked Jet.
But the stories was a little bit okay but not good enough tot buy the next books.
It’s been written before .......... and grammer wise a lot better.
There were so many mistakes in the book that it became a joke.

Why is this a series

I don't know whether to rate this book 2 or 3 stars. I enjoyed it till the end at the cliffhanger. I didn't realize how many books this series had. Does this series even need to be one? I don't know if I really want to read the rest.

Man, what an annoying story! Both characters were pretty annoying, although Natalie really took the cake. Yes, someone cheated on you - get over it! Not all men are scum; stop behaving like a manner less spoiled brat! Totally not interested what happened next...

I didn't even finish it. The writing wasnt great, often repetitive. There were several editing errors that had me going back and trying to figure out where I was at. The characters were annoying.

The man Natalie loved went and betrayed her by committing the ultimate evil act he could possibly commit. He cheated on her, with her best friend. For months! Now, she drowns out her sorrows with booze and her new best friend Julie. Regardless of alcohol, she still questions their motives and why it had to happen to her!

Despite the "fuck you" written on her forehead, she still manages to catch the attention of some males in the bar she usually goes to. She quickly catches the eye of Jet, who's set out to have her.

This is a short and sweet romantic story. There isn't a lot of x-rated scenes making this more of a sweet romance than a raunchy one. I give it 3/5.

Ummmm.....

I gave this book a 2 star because it came to fast and too abrupt for me. For most of this book, the girl I think gave into the boy a little to fast after what happened to her. It just went from zero to sixty in a matter is few pages. It made me feel as a reader overwhelmed because the book went from one huge scene to another huge scene with no like no reasoning behind why the character felt that way. Some parts though in the story were pretty good, like how much Jet wanted her, and how complicated it is to move on from a really bad past relationships, but the book overall needs work.

I love reading and rarely find it hard to finish a book... until this one. It was extremely monotonous. Too much detail was given when it wasn't needed. I had to stop reading when I continued to find myself skimming through multiple pages wasted on irrelevant content. Not to mention the editing was not executed. I had high hopes for this box set, but in the end I had to stop reading. 2 stars was given for the time the author wasted writing multiple pages of unwanted details. I feel bad she will never get those hours back.

Man when I first started reading this book I thought who knows my true story of dating a man for 5 years and come home to find him screwing your best friend. Than I also had to factor in that I don't truly know any MMA fighters. But a girl can dream am I right? I understood how Natalie feels towards men for what her ex did to her, and with Jet being a jock like her ex and his platonic dating could you really put it past her. Hope Jet's up for the challenge or is he. Need to read great story line. Now on to the next installment

Natalie, an art major, has had months to nurse away a broken heart yet she still has some hurdles to overcome. Jet, a sexy hot intense MMA fighter student, willing braves Natalie's rejections. Can Natalie learn to trust again? Will she ever believe that she's desirable? Will Jet try to break down her walls or just move on? Claire Adams has done a good phenomenal job writing this installment of Broken. A must read!

So far I'm loving the new series by Claire Adams. I really enjoyed meeting Natalie and Jet. Their characters are unique and a bit humorous at times. I'm determined to continue this series and figure Natalie out. I like her. I also like Jet and can't wait to discover more about them both on a deeper level. For those looking for a fun and flirty new series to read, check this series out!

Another amazing story from Claire. I love reading about Natalie and Jet and them coming together. Natalie was in a previous relationship which she was hurt deeply and Jet is a MMA. Jet sees Natalie and watches her and finally makes his move. Will Natalie give in to Jet or was she just badly hurt from her relationship to let Jet in. Can't wait for more

This short read continues in other books about a young college student getting over a break up and the hot jock on campus trying to get her to give him the time of day. Jet is training for MMA and has never had a chase after girls. When he meets Natalie, she is not falling for any of his tricks to get her into bed.

The story wasn't bad .. .. That's not why I gave the 2 star review. That's because the book barely got going and it finished. It was extremely short. I then realised its one story split over several very short books!
I don't mind sets of books when they are proper books but I object to paying for 100 pages several times over. What a rip off!!

I really tried to read this one, even almost finished, but when I figured out it wasn't going to end for another 5 books or so, I just gave up. It was a great idea for a story, although I have read similar, but the writing wasn't very good, the way the story was laid out needed some work and I just didn't see how it was going to get any better.

Spitting is nasty

There was not a lot of flow but the description of the sexual encounter was awful. Anyone who thinks spitting on a woman during sex is nasty.Turned off completely ruined everything.

Oh god sorry but this was terrible. It was very poorly written and the dialogue was awful. I hate leaving reviews like this because I know someone worked hard to write this but honestly it was bad. Not sure how it has high reviews

Good start...cliffhanger

Not a bad beginning. Jet meets a girl he can't have and keeps trying anyway. Natalie was burned bad by her ex and her ex bff. She finally sleeps will Jet after she realizes she had feelings for him, but it's nervous about the next day.

Wow

I didn't really think I would like this book but I do. I think it's right up my alley because the character is in college and they are not full blown adults. I like how it tells the story for the boy and the girls perspective and not just the girls; making it one sided.

This book was good but there wasn't really anything in it to make me want to continue reading the series.
It was about 2 college kids. She had her boyfriend cheat on her with her childhood best friend and roommate. He was a playboy. That's pretty much the whole story..

Liked it

This is most definitely not my normal genre but I have to say the characters are very real life in their life choices and personalities. Might finish the rest of the series in the future.

I really want to like these characters but I am struggling. I do care more for Jet by the end of this book. Will keep reading.
