My life changed when my father died, and in the time since, I’ve learned to accept that my voice will never be the same. There are years and a literal ocean between the boy I was and the man I am now.
Scholarship student.
Loyal best friend.
Talented fighter.
The only thorn in my side is Remington Langford. Cocky, popular, far too handsome for his own good, and insistent on calling me his friend.
When a lost bet turns into a trip to Italy as his fake boyfriend, we grow closer than we ever intended, and it’s not long before the lines between what’s for show and what’s not blur.
Something not everyone is happy about.

𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐨𝐧
Holden Booker is a mystery—quiet, strong, guarded, and seemingly immune to my charm.
Not only do I want to know 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 about him, but I need to show him he can trust me.
I don’t intend to fall in love with him. I don’t even do relationships, but he’s everything I never knew I was looking for.
Faking our relationship is impossible when everything we feel is so 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭.
Enough to have someone I trust out to destroy us, breaking my heart along the way.

📝 REVIEW & THOUGHTS:

“I’ll never be weak again,” I whisper.

Sweet love story with wonderful characters. There’s pain, trauma and sweet love with nice banter.

C.S. Autumn is becoming one of my favorite authors. She always knows how to pull my strings.

While this book is not as heartbreaking as That One Moment, it is still truly a wonderful love story, with some pain and trauma and about feeling safe with someone.

The best friend Theo was absolutely adorable, I loved him so much. I truly hope we get a book for him.

💬 QUOTES (possible spoilers):

Remington Langford. Golden boy. Star pupil. Mr. Popular. Pompous, smug, asshole.

“You’d better win that match, pretty boy. I’ll be very disappointed if I don’t get my hands on you tonight.” He winks at me, fucking winks.

Holden looks like he wants to murder me. It’s cute. Like a kitten. No, not a kitten. A lion cub. All growly, with sharp teeth and claws. It wouldn’t surprise me if one day he stabbed me with that knife he likes to fondle. Fuck, he makes my dick hard.

He doesn’t take my hand, just takes out his own mouth guard, looks me directly in the eyes, then promptly spits in my face. Hot. Lifting a hand, I wipe it from my skin and smirk, before leaning forward to whisper in his ear. “How do you always know what I like? You really should stop teasing me.”

He may hate the idea now, but he’s going to love me once he gets to know me. I am literal sunshine and I will warm the frosty parts of him. Ok-ay, that thought sounded a little creepy, even for me, but fuck if it isn’t the truth.

“I’m very persistent sometimes and right now, I really want you to play pool and drink beer with me. I am not above kidnapping if the situation calls for it.”

“I’m not above stabbing my kidnapper if the situation calls for it,”

“Fucking hell, Kitty Cat, you have no fucking idea what you do to me.”

“I’ll never be weak again,” I whisper.

* Fyi about 🌶️ levels: I rate spice on a combination of quantity, quality, length, intensity and explicitness of the scenes. K!nks are listed separately and generally do not directly affect the steam level to keep it fair for non k!nky books.

honestly i had such high hopes for this book but im so disappointed. i feel like it was written lazily. it couldve been a long and a beautiful book with great character developments but all it has is weak characters with 0 backbone. even tho on the surface it looks like remi is a golden retriever and shitting sunshine everywhere he goes but i hate the fact that hes a people pleaser until the very end. i hate that he "tried to" stood up for his lover but it was so weak it made me laugh lmfao. have a freaking backbone for once in your life. Finn is calling Holden 'a toy' 'loser' and all the ugly stuff and hes like 'yea i miss you too Finn' like i dont gaf if you are childhood friends how gullible can u be to believe that hes not a bad person u absolute dumbass. he tried to stab someone? hello? in fact HE IS the one that got stabbed and in the hospital hes like "i dont think i can hate him even if i tried" get the fuckkkkk outta my face with that shit. he showed everyone a video where your fucking boyfriend got bullied and almost killed. and what did you do exactly? NOTHING. i know books just like this where the ml would beat the shit out of everyone that tries to hurt his partner. he would go far and beyond to make sure he never got disrespected again in his life. does he really love Finn as a friend or is there something more deep down that hes not telling us? the author made it look like he just CANT leave that ugly ass mf for the life of him. so yeah i hate people like him. hes such a weak character and i know the author couldve made him so much better but of course somehow the book doesnt have enough pages. fuck remi and fuck finn. holden shouldve dumped his ass period.

I can’t really begin to describe what this book did to me. At first I was so worried and sad, and I instantly fell in love with Holden. He is just a sweetheart, and he for sure deserves all the good things in his life 🥹

This is a perfect read for the late summer, it's cozy and beautiful and the MCs both are amazing 💖

Remington and Holden are kind of rivals, but not really. Both of them fight for money, although only Holden does it for the sake of earning it and Remi doesn't really need it.

I personally love the fake dating trope, and this book did such a fantastic job with it.

This whole story was a perfectly balanced one, switching from gut-wrenching to simply beautiful or adorable to straight up funny.

It's the whole package, so go grab it 🥰

Win You Over follows the slow, quiet, emotional pull between Holden Booker, a scholarship kid carrying grief like a second skin, and Remington Langford, the sunshine boy who refuses to let Holden fade into the background. They are rivals in an illegal fighting arrangement.Their fake-dating setup — Remi losing a bet and suddenly needing a “boyfriend” for his sister’s wedding — forces them into close proximity, and then Italy happens… and the line between pretend and real becomes beautifully, painfully blurry.

The book moves through some *heavy* themes. Trauma, grief, emotional scars that shaped Holden’s whole identity — and sometimes I felt those moments didn’t get the depth they deserved. I wanted a bit more weight, more space for how deeply those experiences shaped him. So the potential for more depth was not taken advantage of.

Now, Remi. My sweet sunshine disaster. He is adorable, and I love the way he worships Holden, the way he touches him, the way he holds him like he’s the most precious thing he’s ever been trusted with. But he *is* a bit shallow and childish about needing everyone to like him. And the Finn situation… listen. Just because Finn is his best friend doesn’t mean Remi has to accept everything or throw a blanket over abhorrent bully behaviour. I genuinely wished he’d broken that fucker’s nose. His defence of Holden was there, but I needed it fiercer — sharper, more blood, more possessiveness, more “don’t you ever hurt what’s mine.”

But… in the end, Remi walked away with a bruised, painful exit from that friendship, and maybe I prefer that to the violence Finn absolutely deserved. I don’t think Remi is sad because he lost *Finn the person*, but because he lost the friend he’d had since age four — the shared childhood, the memories, the history. That version of their friendship died, and he grieved that, not the man Finn became.

And Holden, my baby, our Leeutjie — lion cub, beautiful bee, soft kitty cat. Watching him grow into himself, find his voice, and finally be loved, safe, wanted, and happy… It made my whole heart warm. He deserves every drop of softness. I’m being a violente avengefull bitch, but I wish they wet after those fuckers who hurt Holden….

The notes? Oh my god. They filled my chest with love, especially the moment Remi had them spread all around the house. I melted. Fully melted.

And honestly… those first times together? The way they fit so perfectly, giving and receiving love and worship in the same rhythm. The tenderness and the filth. The “teach me” moment? Please. They were so hot, so intimate, so vulnerable and messy and perfect together. 🥵

“Tell me your idea,” I rasp into his ear. Pleasure builds, a warmth spreading in my groin as we rub ourselves off on each other. Precum, his or mine, drips onto my cock, the liquid warm and easing the glide.
“I’ll buy you a pretty blue plug. Stretch you out so good.”
“Hmm,” I mumble my mind trying to focus on the picture he’s painting while being drawn to the incredible friction on my dick.
“And then, I’ll fuck you. Fill you with my cum.”
Remington’s lips kiss a line along my jaw before meeting mine.
“Then I’ll plug up your hole and leave you stuffed full all day.”
I dig my nails into his back and his hips pick up speed, frotting harder and faster.
“You’ll have to sit and listen to Prof. Hottie talk about British poets, knowing you’re full of my cum. I bet you’ll be hard and so fucking horny. You’ll want to leave and take care of it yourself, but I won’t let you, because you only come when I say you can.”
I whine. My breath hitching as I say his name on a plea. I don’t know what I’m asking for, I only know he’ll give it to me.
“Then you’ll be the needy one.”
He increases the speed and pressure of his hips while simultaneously kissing me hard. His tongue pushes into my mouth, and I let him in. Let him dominate me as he works my body closer and closer to the inevitable crescendo.
“Finally, I’d pull you out of that class, bend you over the hood of my car and fuck you with only my cum for lube. And then, baby? Then, you’ll,” he pauses, putting emphasis on his next words, “come for me.”

This book is about trust, relearning yourself, and two boys discovering that love can’t fix everything — but it can give you the courage to heal

Also… maybe there’s a story hiding between Finn and Theo? I hope so. I want to see Finn actually grow into a normal person and not a rich, jealous brat. He needs a redemption arc — and Theo might be the way in.

“I’m going to keep telling you,” Remington promises. “Every day until you’re sick of me.”
“And if I never get sick of you?”
His hand skirts the back of my neck before sliding up into my hair.
“Even better,” he replies. “I’ll tell you forever. Or whatever is longer than forever.”
“Forever is good.”
“Forever it is then.”

Something about a summer romance just hits different but when it's written by C.S. Autumn it is everything. I could taste the salt in the air. I could smell the sea breeze. I could feel the humid, slightly damp air on my face. But most of all I could feel the love radiating off the page from Remi and Holden.

Their relationship started out rocky with only the very best tension, push/pull dynamic. Remi is full of himself, in the best way. His banter and humor had me smiling. There's something just so effortlessly beautiful about him. And Holden, oh that man is everything. He had my heart from the very beginning and the main descriptor that comes to mind for him is strength. He is strong. He is resilient. Most of all he is worthy of love.

Remi and Holden's love blossomed in the best way. Underneath the Italian sun with the salt from the sea clinging to their skin. I love absolutely every second of their story. The build up, the tension, the wee bit of pining. The quickest deletion of "fake" from their relationship.

I think what touched me most was the relationship that Holden had with Remi's family. The way he opened up to them. He's connection with Nadine had me softly crying.

I could go on for quite sometime about everything I loved about this book. Another stunning novel by C.S. Autumn.

Please check the trigger warnings before reading. While it's lowish angst there are some heavy topics discussed.

I inhaled this book in one sitting, and it honestly felt like the definition of a low-angst, cozy romance read—the kind that leaves you smiling long after you’ve finished.

While I know it was Low Angst… I still went into it bracing myself for heavier trauma (still reeling from the gut-punch this author once delivered in That One Moment 👀)but instead…I got a story that was warm, refreshing, and so full of light it felt like curling up in sunshine.

What completely pulled me in was the relationship between Holden and Remi.

Their love felt so authentic, layered, and beautiful to watch grow from reluctant friendship into something undeniable.

Holden is such a sweet, gentle soul—quiet and traumatized in a way that makes you want to wrap him in a blanket—and Remi? Remi is the golden retriever boyfriend we all deserve. Charming, protective, a little cocky but in that endearing way that makes you laugh instead of roll your eyes.

Their black-cat-meets-golden-retriever dynamic was EVERYTHING!

Holden, the guarded and grumpy one, constantly meeting Remi’s sunshine… until slowly, inevitably, his walls cracked. Watching those walls fall was honestly one of the most rewarding parts of the story.

And let’s talk spice. These scenes weren’t just thrown in for heat—they carried the same tenderness and vulnerability that ran through the rest of their relationship. The way Remi was so gentle, so intentional with Holden, paired with Holden’s vulnerability and pure need, made those moments incredibly beautiful and incredibly hot at the same time. The little details—markings, whimpers, that desperate edge—turned them into something far more intimate than just “spicy scenes.” They were emotional, raw, and honestly made me love them even more.

I also really appreciated how fun and lighthearted the pacing felt. The Italian setting, the fake-boyfriend setup, the banter, the playful chaos of their situation—it all balanced so well against Holden’s inner struggles, never tipping too far into angst but still carrying emotional weight. It was the perfect quick read: fast-paced, entertaining, and impossible to put down.

A huge thank you to the author for letting me read an ARC of this novel, and for graciously giving me the space to share my feelings privately. This was such a good, fun, heart-squeezing read, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone who wants something they can devour in one sitting—equal parts sunshine, swoon, and spice.

This is a very sweet story about two men one of whom is very broken, who find love. Holden is broken. He has selective mutism due to some traumatic events in his childhood. He’s now a college student who enters underground fights to earn some extra money.

Remington is from wealthy family and is the most popular guy on campus. He also enters these underground fights, but as entertainment.

Remington has an immediate attraction to Holden. Circumstances happen and the two of them end up in a fake relationship. It is, quite possibly, the shortest, fake relationship that has ever existed. It becomes very real, very quickly.

Unlike this author’s previous book, this one is relatively low angst. There is no angst in the relationship. The only angst that does show up is Holden‘s past and the treatment he gets from one of Remington‘s friends.

It’s a very sweet book and the relationship is very endearing. The spice hits just right. The sex scenes show these boys falling deeper and deeper into love.

Due to the traumatic events of Holden‘s past, I would caution anybody with triggers to read the trigger warnings before going forward. Otherwise, enjoy the ride of this cute, low angst romance.

This has some serious favorite book material! I enjoyed this so much I've actually already reread it. This was my first book by C.S. Autumn and I am absolutely sold.

Win You Over has everything I love in a romance book. Holden and Remi are both amazingly written characters, both interesting and endearing, and together they are just disgustingly cute. The connection they share is so incredibly special and so tangible it shines through the pages and it feels so alive. There's a brief one sided rivals to lovers thing, and an even briefer fake dating thing, because if we're real they were so bad at faking it, it was actually so funny. I love how they are both so open about their feelings.

I also love all of the side characters! Remi's family is amazing and it was heart-warming to see how they immediately included Holden into their bunch. Holden's best friend Theo is also such a sweet character, I would love for him to get his own book. And Remi's best friend Finn… well. I'll say he's a great villain and I kind of sense there's more to his story. I'm not sure how much of his character is actually redeemable but we shall wait and see (or not).

I think the topic of friendship breakups was done really well here. With the parallel between Holden and Remi, although their situations are very different, the theme of betrayal and hurt is the same and it really hits you in the gut.

So to summarize, I thought I was getting a fun little summer romance, and ended up with something much bigger and so meaningful and beautiful and heart-breaking and healing and everything else, it made me shed a tear or two. Big thank you to the author for the ARC!

ARC REVIEW

I don’t even know how to begin this review because this story just wrecked me in the softest, most beautiful way. Holden & Remi are the kind of love that doesn’t measure your worth by what you’ve lost or how you’ve been hurt. They’re the kind of love that takes the scars you’ve carried for years and makes them something beautiful, a reminder that you’re still worthy, still lovable. That’s what this book gave me, and it broke me in the best way.

Holden has always kept his guard up, all sharp edges and silence, while Remi shines with warmth and light, even as he hides his own pain behind a smile. Little by little, Remi’s sunshine seeps through, and Holden’s walls begin to fall. Watching him open his heart was one of the gentlest, most beautiful parts of the story

What starts as pretend becomes something real, something life-changing. What starts as a bet changes everything and watching them slowly realize it was never fake at all had me giggling, kicking my feet, and then crying when the emotions hit

This book was everything soft, devastating, hopeful, and so full of love. I felt every laugh, every ache, every tear, and I loved it with my whole heart 😭😭

I love Holden and Remi! I’m a sucker for a traumatic backstory and mental health rep in books so this hit all the marks with an enemy to lovers trope and no third act break ups which I hate! I wish there was more about the aftermath of Remi’s friends and how they reacted after the Finn issue (trying not to give spoilers). Highly recommend this and all of CS Autumn’s books.

DNF at 15%. The prologue was really good, but then immediately in chapter one this just was so difficult to read. I also don’t like books that have an MC being explicitly intimate with other characters and that’s already happening.

Sigh, Holden and Remington, absolute swoon! Gosh Holden’s story was extremely tough to read. I was tearing up in the first few pages of the book, so unbelievably cruel, his selective mutism from the loss of his dad isolating him to the point of such unabashed hate is untenable.

Remington has had a lot of privileges but he is also battling his fear of rejection. When these two meet in the ring it’s instant fire works, Holden’s sexual awakening was so well depicted.

I loved the whole fake dating play, it’s one of my favourites and their chemistry is hot. Remington is thoughtful and sweet and really a big ball of sunshine and Holden needs to bask in it. I loved that there were no unnecessary dramatic pull backs just a steady relationship build up. That ending almost game me a heart attack but how it was handled specially between Remi and Finn was so well done.

Finn is a product of his upbringing, sometimes there is fighting nurture but what he did was deplorable and o wonder if we’ll know if paid for any of it more than we are told here. I wonder if he is a getting a story?

Like the idea of this book

I really love the concept and I think Holden is a great character that you really root for. I hated what he went through and I wanted him to find love and peace and joy.
Was not a fan of his love interest Remington. I wanted to like him but honestly I didn’t. Their connection didn’t feel real to me and I really didn’t like how he was such a pushover about Finn. What happened to Holden is nothing to sniff at and Finn was really manipulative and devious and horrible.
Also hate that there were no consequences for those monsters - though I guess they were children so maybe the law doesn’t care but those are really serious crimes.
Anyways, guess this book just wasn’t for me. But the concept of the story was great.

I świetnie zostało to pokazane w przypadku Remingtona. Był mało asertywny? Zdecydowanie.

Win You Over honestly surprised me in the best way. Holden and Remington hooked me from the start. Holden comes with a really rough past—bullying, trauma, scars that still affect him—and Remi is this rich, cocky fighter who ends up being way sweeter than he pretends.

Their dynamic starts with a lost bet and a fake-dating situation for Remi’s sister’s wedding, and that’s where everything gets interesting. I loved watching them slowly open up to each other, how Remi was gentle and supportive without pushing, and how Holden, with everything he’s been through, let himself feel something real again.

They both have their own internal battles, but seeing them grow together was honestly the highlight of the book. The story, the characters, the relationship development, and the ending… everything worked for me.

Maybe I’m just emotional, but from the first few pages of this book, I was already tearing up.
Holden has select mutism after the death of his father. He can’t seem to find his voice and growing up bullied didn’t help matters at all. His mom decides to move him back to the states where he can start fresh and later on he grows into a man attending college and does underground fights in attempt to win money so he can pay the bills, but there’s just one problem. Remington refuses to lose. The pompous popular boy that everybody loves but Holden can’t stand and Remington is determined to have Holden like him, but Holden is not easily trusting due to his past experiences with bullies, but fate has other plans after they teamed up to work on a school project together Remington is even more determined to have Holden like him, and after making a bet that Holden loses, he
has to pretend to be Remington‘s boyfriend and fly to Italy for Remingtons sister‘s wedding as a plus one. but what starts as fake dating turns into something a lot more serious and involves a lot more feelings

Y’all This Book Was A Really Sweet One. Holden And Remi Were Really Amazing Characters And There Romance Was Also So Sweet. Also Theo And Holden Friendship Was So Amazing. Also Finn, I Really Don’t Like Him At All But I Have A Feeling He Might Get A Book And If He Does, I’ll Be Interested In A Redemption. But I Highly Recommend This One If You Want A Really Cute Low Angst Romance. I Cannot Wait To Read More From Cs Autumn Cause I Know Her Books Are Gonna Be Everything 🫶💕

Oh my days, these two…I loved every single minute of Remi and Holden.

I held off so late to read this ARC thinking it would be more angsty (think I have a little PTSD from That One Moment haha), but I am kicking myself for not picking it up sooner now.

I’m a big fan of MCs that are a bit of a dick at the beginning but you quickly realise that they’re just a massive marshmallow and especially marshmallowy for the other MC, and Remi is the epitome of that. He fell for Holden so fast and was so freaking cute with it, he knew what Holden needed before he knew why and honestly that’s just an absolute kryptonite microtrope for me!

Oh Holden. Sweet, sweet Holden…his journey isn’t an easy one, but I loved how he found his place with Remi and the rest of the Langfords. And can we take a moment for the Langford family…HELL YES for the kind and supportive family dynamic. We love to see it.

Win You Over is superb, and has taken the top spot for my favourite CS Autumn book now. Will definitely be added to my comfort rereads!

BIG FAT 5⭐️ It is an utter perfection regardless of all the clichés thrown in - Sunshine x Grumpy, Rich x Poor , Popular x Loner, rivals to friends to lovers, fake dating and summer fling.

AND if you want to read about a Masochist ball of sunshine top who will persistently pamper and devour their little black cat (or lion, in Holden’s case), this book is for you.

I probably will not shut up about Remi, he made me go “ Oh no you did not, you idiot” but still adore him to pieces anyway.
And Holden is my baby, I will protect him from the world, he truly deserves all the happiness.

Spoiler (ish)? : My heart melted literally when Remi showed up with the little pen and a notepad for Hold on their first hang out, Remi relentlessly trying to win Hold over is soo swoony.

Win You Over is a MM romance story about Holden and Remington.

Oh my heart. I wanted nothing more than to protect Holden. It was hard to read what he went through. I liked Remington and his family, but I did not like his choice in friends, especially his best friend Finn. I did struggle with Remi and Finn’s relationship, and I wasn’t a fan of seeing them hookup on page. The fake dating between Holden and Remi was great, and I loved seeing them fall for each other. I do have to say I knew something was going to end up happening with Finn, but I didn’t think it was going to be so horrible. I personally didn’t like how Remi reacted to it. Otherwise, I did enjoy Holden and Remington’s story.

“‘Thank… you… for loving me,’ I whisper. It’s been a few days since I’ve used my words and they come out separated by pauses, but the more I melt into his touch, the easier it becomes. Remembering I’m safe with him, that my heart is safe in his hands, in the same way that his is safe in mine.”

Siiiiiigggghhhhhh.. REMI AND HOLDEN HOLY SWOON.

This is my first book by this author and HOLY HECK what was put into this book because I devoured it!! This story had me kicking my feet over the swoon worthy moments and crying at the moments that tugged on your heartstrings. This was such a heartfelt romance that makes you feel all the feels.

My sweet Holden. Oh man. I was tearing up from the beginning with what he went through as a young boy - and then he grew up into a strong young man who also suffered with his mutism that he tried so hard to overcome and the bullies from a higher societal class than him.
Remi is such a golden hearted man who, while very privileged, fears rejection and not being liked for him (instead being liked for what his money can provide) - and he rejects the classism that his friends partake in.

These two meet while in underground boxing. Remi is instantly taken by Holden but Holden can’t stand Remington because he’s everything he fears (powerful, popular, etc). In a bet gone wrong, Holden has to pretend to be Remi’s boyfriend while on a trip to Italy.

This was the shortest fake dating there ever was. These two instantly grew feelings for each other and watching them fall for the other was swoony as hell. The chemistry between these boys was so good - Remi teaching Holden and Holden trusting Remi enough to be able to speak. I loved how they let their walls down and let the other one in - especially Holden.

The found family vibes were immaculate. Remi’s family completely brought Holden into the fold and were so kind from the start about his struggles with speaking. And Holden’s friend Theo was such a good friend. I hated Finn though - I tried to feel bad for him, but I just couldn’t. I couldn’t do it.

What you’re getting:
Class difference
Fake dating
Found family
Selective mutism
Sexual awakening
Hurt x comfort
Black cat x golden retriever
Summer romance
“Teach me”
HEA
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
TWs: bullying (on page), suicide of parent (off page), episode of violence (on page)

Arc Review

At aged twelve, Holden Booker was on the receiving end of some horrific bullying. He and his mother move back to the US so he can start a fresh. The abuse left Holden almost mute and struggles to talk to people unless he feels very comfortable around them. His best friend Theo is one of the only people he trusts.
Holden finds fighting therapeutic, and as a result finds an underground fight club, where he fights his nemesis Remington.

Remington Langford has led a privileged life but has his own trust issues, and just wants to be liked. He also enjoys fighting in the underground club. He has a best friend Finn who is also his friend with benefits.
For their end of year assignment Remi and Holden are paired up together. Remi never once makes Holden feel inadequate when he communicates via words written down, slowly he becomes to trust Remi and he finds he can speak to him.

Remi’s sister Nadine is getting married on the beautiful island of Sardinia and Remi needs to find a date. Remi decides on Finn, but Nadine refuses to have him at the wedding, instead Remi makes a bet with Holden and he inevitably ends up as his date.

Spending time away both Holden and Remi fall hard and fast, being fake boyfriends does not last long, and soon they are actual boyfriends.

This is one of the sweetest romances I have read. Remi is one of the most honest and kindest souls. He makes Holden feel so cherished. Holden needed to find a love so deep and wonderful in order to live his life to the fullest.

CS Autumn has written such a heartwarming book. It had me smiling (except the first chapter and a quite horrible character) from the start.
The writing flows well and the descriptions of the locations, events are people is all so incredibly written.

If CS writes it, I am reading it.

God I addoooorreddddddddd this book! The characters, the pacing, the chemistry, the tropes and the subject, everything was so perfectly done! One of my favourite of the year!

Remi and Holden relationship started with some enemies to lovers vibe but it quickly got away from that trope and we discovers two characters that goes so well together and they have no choice of falling in love with each other. The golden retriever and black cat dynamic fit them so freaking well, I was eating it up e.v.e.r.y pages. Loved the push/pull between them, and it was cute to see strike some kind of friendship before falling in love. It was a slow burn but kind of not at the same time.
The pacing was perfectttttttttttttt.

Holden, my beautiful Holden. My heart was breaking with his P.O.V, his story is not easy and I’m so glad Remi showed him the kind of real love he so deserved. It was cute to see him finally opening up. Remi is so full of himself, but in a good way and it was so fun to watch. I loved his kind of golden retriever. His banter had me laughing out loud. I love both characters so much and couldn’t tell which one I love the most.

The side characters were also so well written. They showed through the story so many kind of different love and heartbreak in friendship. I hope few of then have their story some day. Even Finn!

This book was everything and do not miss reading it!
