Her family-friendly Leigh Koslow cozy mystery series, a favorite of animal lovers that was originally published in 1999, was reborn in 2012 to become a Kindle Top-10 bestseller. Her romantic novels range from women’s fiction with romantic elements to a blend of romance and mystery, beginning with her traditionally published contemporaries, the award-winning Long Time Coming and Meant To Be, and continuing with her USA-Today bestselling Pacific Horizons series, whose characters follow the migration of the humpback whales to some of the most gorgeous locations on earth. In any Edie Claire work, the reader may be assured that while intrigue may beckon and tensions rise, love and happiness will always triumph in the end!
Edie has worked as a veterinarian, a childbirth educator, and a scientific/technical writer. A mother of three, she lives in Pennsylvania and aspires to become a snowbird.
I very much enjoyed reading this collection of the first 3 books of the series. Each story was uniquely different and the main character is very real. She is smart, funny, klutzy, and flawed like the rest of us. If you enjoy mysteries and quick reads with non perfect hero’s, this is a series for you. I look forward to getting my hands on the next book(s).
At first I thought she was a detective, but then I realized she was better than a detective because she wasn’t being paid yet she was involved. Leigh has a natural curiosity that leads her into trouble. You never know how it is going to end.
I just discovered Edie Claire, because I couldn't find anything else I was eager to read, I was sick and needed distraction, and her books were low cost on amazon kindle. What a gift! I read all that has been published so far of her Pacific Northwest Series, and then started reading Books 1,2,3 set of her Leigh Koslow mystery series. Her books are fun, with plots full of twists and turns and interesting characters and topic and locations, and hard to put down, but not so long that you need to allow a lot of time to finish it. I highly recommend her books.
Three-Book set! I tried and tried to connect with these characters, but never had any luck. There were a couple characters that I felt were true to their description. However, most of the characters were described one way, but acted against another way. The lead, Leigh Koslow, was the least connected. I never felt that she was the main character/detective. I was off balance most of the time. I am not sure I will continue with this series. Oh, maybe one more try. I'll keep you posted.
I enjoyed all of these. I like that Leigh is so klutzy or has such bad luck that she is always falling backwards into another case. It seems to fit her personality somehow. I enjoyed how the stories flowed and the thrill of the danger she was almost constantly in, especially in "Never Sorry." I am looking forward to reading further in this series as I can add them to my collection.
