This is a wisdom book you dip in and out of, a collection of some of Mooji's short spoken teachings. Its one of those books I found to be highly synchronistic- very often the teaching would be just what i needed to hear, or something I had been pondering. The illustrations are a delight.

I love this book and Mooji. Every time I read it I am immersed in it as it continually reminds me of the Atman in us all. I wish he would return more to Vedanta rather than how his more recent satsangs are. When he was in Tiru for all those years he was a beacon of light for Vedanta, but now I'm not sure if that is his focus. Anyway, I will always be thankful to him and this book.

I bought 2nd edition of this book on Amazon early March 2021.
1st Original Edition was written in 2014; 2nd Edition in 2020.
There are 790 short Mooji stories and the book contains 377 pages.

This book is not my favorite Mooji's book. It is quite repetitive.
Better use the stories to meditate.

I am not so fond to only use Mooji approach, as it can be repressive.
One sometimes needs to ask himself the reasons of his thoughts, feelings, and do not repress or deny.

As well, there is healthy ego, we cannot suppress our ego as Mooji wants and be nothing.

The quality of book is particularly good and there a lot of Mooji drawings and images.

Use this meditation with caution, use other books that reply to 'why' and not only deny.

A bunch of collected thoughts and sayings from Mooji that just say the same dumb thing over and over, basically transcendence over ego which sounds nice but means nothing. He insists multiple times that you are only unhappy because you can't see beyond yourself, which is not only wrong it can be harmful. He also says that death doesn't matter because you are the infinite and "This life is only for discovering and confirming this inside your heart. Amen." Which only applies if you believe in an afterlife and don't believe in helping people in this life, two things I fundamentally disagree with.

tl;dr he's kind of a smug asshole

I went into White Fire: Spiritual Insights and Teachings of Advaita Zen Master Mooji practically without any memorable direct experience of Mooji. While I had heard of him, seen thumbmails of his videos around my YouTube feed every now and then, and all but forgotten whichever of these I did actually click on, this was my opportunity to venture into his style of teaching that one Truth; you know, the one with the capital T...

I have found that for the majority of spiritual teachers, the videos presented online are mere excerpts from gatherings, or "satsangs" in Mooji's case, oftentimes having especially unawakened people asking someone who is Awake a question much closer to the floor than the ceiling, if you catch my drift. This has motivated me to simply learn from teachers in a more direct sense, to just read what they themselves are expressing without the context of an ignorant ego treating a guru like a therapist. I have come not to necessarily learn anything new - I have already realised and am integrating the very Truth these teachers point to; what I am here for is to explore it further wholeheartedly and seek slylistically varying ways of presentation such that I may gain further perspective. Before continuing, allow me to disclaim that I am saying this relative to the typical "ego is an illusion"/"non-duality"/"everything is One" route of awakening; this journey is infinitely deep, thus complacency in a sense is just as illusory as anything else for that matter.

To quote Mooji himself:
Satsang is not a teaching, but a clarifying".
This is the real power in these teachers, they often have an incredible capacity to articulate these esoteric notions such that their contents, while perhaps not new to those who have Self-Realised, can still pack a definite punch in terms of conveying this profound essence effectively. It is not that new Love is discovered, but the same Love is flourished once shone upon with the light of varying perspective.

From its very exordium, I was taken aback by the comments and remarks made about Mooji from his followers - let's just say that they come across as very, and I mean VERY attached to him as a manifestation of Consciousness. More-so it seems to the manifestation part than Consciousness itself but this is extremely common with gurus and not at all a fault against Mooji himself. This is deeply ironic for having now read the book, if these people had truly integrated his teachings, would they still be idolising him to this extent? Perhaps his essence, but this exact essence is within them, actually, it IS them! Either way, the point here was direct experience and now having read through, I can say I do appreciate Mooji's style. There is a nice balance between completely direct in what he is alluding to while still reflecting a sense of personality in doing so. There were many beautiful expressions and analogies used and while the brush drawings were especially abstract, they were undeniably equisite.

I am glad that I read this. While I am not motivated to read more of his works, I think that for anyone that is still early in the whole non-duality journey, has not had many, or even any, direct experiences with "The True Heart" as Mooji himself would put it then go ahead and read this. That it is fragemented into seperate parts functions nicely as a pit-stop of sorts throughout the reading process; all the while, the brush drawings and photos dispersed throughout are splendid as well.

At first the length of this book, 347 pages, overwhelmed me because I thought I should really think deeply about and try to memorize each idea. Then, I decided I really wanted to read it and see what I could learn, and what I already knew.

Overall, there were a lot of good thoughts-suggestions-comments that I enjoyed. I dog-earred several pages and decided that some of the shorter pages spoke the most strongly to me. Some of my favorites are:

page 15 “Even if you became an astronaut and discovered other planets, it would not be as great as discovering your own Self right here on earth.”

page 67 “Don’t belong to anything. Don’t belong to anyone. Just be. Feel your being first and foremost, and don’t compare or compare. Just be your being.”

page 69 “In the absence of you personally is the presence of you universally.”

page 153 “Who gave us this crazy idea that we should know how to live? Does a tree know how to live? Does a cloud know how to float? Does the wind know where it is blowing? Does a toad know it is going somewhere? Don’t know how to live, just recognize that you are life and life just is.”

page 99 “Do not cling to any concept or belief of how life should be, for you will be radiant when your projections are unfolding favorably but when they are not, you will crumble.”

page 195 “Find that which cannot be extinguished before the candle of this body melts away.”

page 214 “The book of your Being is open. The pages are empty. Let the Divine write something inside your heart.”

page 221 “I am totally in love with nothing.”

page 343 “Noisy mind, no mind, never mind, same-same.”

page 178 “You are naturally happy. Happiness is your true happiness. No one can make you unhappy. Your imagination alone can do that.”

Overall, this book reminded me that life is a journey and I should aspire to learn and grow each day, and to enjoy my own evolution.

The book is comprised of small saying and excerpts from conversations over many years, so there are no chapters per say more a combination of daily type readings.

“Those who feel bored in life are ever seeking entertainment for their minds. The lovers of God are ever content and serenely happy, for they are fed through the heart and not through the mind”

“Life does not worry about life
Only the mind does”

What even is an Advaita Zen master? Are we just making this stuff up as we go along? Claiming to be a zen master is pretty bold coming from Tony, it must rely on the fact most who read this won't really have a clue what Zen is & will never find out under his "pointing".
