As a Brit this book is unbelievably frustrating. At the beginning you are told to use a digital scale to weigh ingredients and then the author proceeds to discuss amounts used in cups!!
Sadly a poorly written book full of useless fluff.
I'm not much of a baker, but I can say that this book is such a helpful guide for anyone curious about baking sourdough but feeling a little intimidated. It breaks everything down so simply, especially for beginners. I love how it walks you through making your own starter, and it makes the whole process feel way less complicated than I expected. The recipes are great, and they don't just stick to bread; you can try out sweet treats and pizza, too! Plus, it covers common mistakes and how to fix them, which is super helpful if you're a newbie to this stuff like me. Overall, it's a good resource to help make sourdough baking fun and doable for anyone!
I have struggled for long to make tasty sourdough loaves, mines always taste terrible unlike the delicious one I get from my local bakery. This book has helped me to pinpoint where I was going wrong, especially with my choice of flour type and water. The recipes is clear and easy to follow. Tasted the result of my hard work.
