Fun
This was a fun book and had some awesome ideas in the DIY section which I really liked and was one of my favorites. It has a sections for all kinds of ideas that people would be interested in baking, cooking, making your own thrifty saving ideas, cleaning products, DIY, crafts, and just generally being handy and saving money around the house. Most of the items she uses, you properly will have lying around your house, so you won't have to go to the store and make a huge project out of it. They are mostly all thrifty ways and a lot of reusing items and very green ideas. The one thing I did not like that there where no photos off the projects finished that's why I gave it 4 stars. I really liked it. Now I'm in a crafty mood I'm going to make the draw shelf. This is the perfect book for a rainy day or if your bored and want to make, bake some cool stuff.

Very interesting and useful hints!
I wish that I had the intelligence and the time to remember all of the many household hints found in this book. If one only used half of them it would save a lot of effort and useless "puttering". The author has a delitghtful writing style which makes it a pleasure to read. Though I won't be making any Christmas gifts, the recipes do sound easy to make and interesting fragrances as well as pretty presents. Wishing I were on her Christmas list!

A few ideas were alright, but most of it seemed either to be common sense things or else more complicated than doing it the more traditional way. One example that comes to mind is the idea of how to peel potatoes faster. The little blurb started out something like, Peeling potatoes takes forever! So our solution is to boil the potatoes for 30 minutes, let them cool and then peel them. How is this simpler than just peeling them to begin with, haha?
Anyhow, interesting to read through nonetheless.

I got this book to share with my granddaughters . We were going to attempt each project one at a time. Thinking, we'll just whip through these. So far we have read and tried a few. Loved them. They take longer to accomplish than we instant gratificationers thought when we started. But worth every minute. Got to know my girl's a lot more with time spent and we had something to show for our efforts.

This book is very informative with so many neat ideas that I can't wait to try. I'm not talking a few ideas this book is fully loaded. I'm so glad I purchased this and no you don't have to be crafty to do the ideas.

Great ideas
After 56 years, I did know a lot of these hacks. I did learn a few new ones. But the Christmas projects was inspiring. Lets see if I can at least do a few this coming Christmas.

Some of the tips were a little outdated (which I wasn't surprised by for a ten year old book), but I still highlighted a ton of ideas that interested me. Can't wait to try a few of them out!

The title is miss leading like there would be a 365 list of items. These are not hacks either. There are no pictures. There are no step by step etc. It did have some interesting ideas, but reads more like an outline than a how to guide.

DIY for your convenience......
If I had not spent so much time on Pinterest this book would be a hit! However, 80 % of the hints I already knew, therefore I went through this in 15 minutes. Glad it was free!

Lack of pictures.
Due to there not being any pictures this book gets a one for me. I didn't bother to read it. Honestly I don't want to read EVERYTHING I want to see the picture and then proceed to make it. Sorry author

This book has lots of ideas that are actually useful AND pretty easy. Just wish it had photos. Would certainly recommend this book.

This book desperately needs pictures. Textual descriptions don't do the tips justice... I felt like I was trying to read a Buzzfeed article written for the blind.

I didn't like much of this book, and found much of the advice unclear or completely unusable. Some simply doesn't work. This book I wouldn't recommend.
