Endless Summer Memories in Santorini

Rate this book
What if the perfect love story can’t be written in advance? Zoe Mills, expert in tough-love dating advice, is sent to Santorini to create seven “emotionally resonant” dispatches in seven days. Nail it, and she’ll become an international star. Fail, and her career tanks.

From the moment she steps onto those whitewashed terraces, Zoe’s plans unravel. She’s stuck with Nico Katsaros, the retreat’s brooding photographer and her uninvited roommate. Their clipped barbs and shared power outages ignite an undeniable spark.

As Zoe interviews bakers, fishermen, and ghostly florists, her cynicism melts away. Between wine tastings and scooter rides through hidden alleys, she discovers that lasting love is an ember you choose to nourish.

With the deadline looming, Zoe must write the story or live it? Choose wisely because some of life’s most beautiful tales refuse to be scripted.

♾️⭐ I've decided this wonderful book deserves an infinite number of stars.

I won this book through a Goodreads giveaway in exchange for an honest review. Thanks for choosing me.

I didn't realize I needed this book until it landed in my lap. I wasn't expecting it to be so deep and emotional. I thought it would be a fun, steamy summer read - it is so much more than that. This book was a reminder of things that I had long ago buried and tried to forget. It was a reminder that I may have built up my own walls after heartbreak, but it's okay to let go and be vulnerable again. The characters felt like real people, not fictional characters in a novel. I want to meet and befriend them in real life. Not only Nico and Zoe - all of them. ❤️

Nico and Zoe are both guarded and jaded in their own ways from events of their pasts. They are each battling their own demons and trying to come to terms with who they are after all that pain. They were both refreshingly authentic, honest and open even when they wanted to be closed off. Somehow it worked. They fed off of one another, bled into each other and learned from the other. While he tried to come off as the broody, sarcastic photographer and she tried to play the part of the closed off writer they found each other, they accepted their broken bits and their flaws. Ultimately becoming the people, they were always meant to be. Sure, it took some meddling and some pushing from outside forces *coughs* (Elena, Yannis and even Vanessa - I'm looking at you 👀), but they got there and it was messy and crazy and absolutely beautiful.

This novel healed parts of me that I had no idea still needed healing. It spoke to me, it burrowed into my heart and soul, and made a home in me.

It said things like:

"Because it reminds them beauty still grows. Even when the heart is broken."

"People come in here asking for roses and lilies. But love's not that polished. It's marigolds and thistles. Grit and grace. The kind of thing that doesn't always smell sweet but still fills a room."

"It means knowing the ghosts and setting an extra cup at the table for them."

"Everyone expects it to be magic. But love isn't magic. It's messy. People leave. Or lie. Or get tired of holding on. And then the story just... ends. Sometimes without a warning."

And after all was said and done it reminded me that love isn't always pretty, it is sometimes chaotic and heavy while light and airy at other times, and yet it is always worth fighting for. It is always worth showing up for. Both in fiction and in real life.

I got the chance to read this book as an eARC
If you like these tropes, this book is for you:

Greek Romance
Forced Proximity
Emotionally guarded MCs

I read this book in one sitting. I loved every moment. It was a cute romance. Kiva Hart wrote this romance perfectly. It made me rethink my ideas of love. I wish it hadn't taken both MCs until the near end of the book to realize their feelings. I was a little heartbroken when they walked away from each other. Their reunion was heartwarming and beautiful. The epilogue was a lovely ending to their story.

I highly recommend reading this book, especially if you want to be swept into Greece and its inhabitants. The locals have beautiful, tear-jerking love stories. That is what makes this book even more heart-warming. Their stories have a huge impact on the book.

Words Like Too Many Flowers in a Small Room

I don’t know if it’s the flowery prose or the fact that I OD’d on Hallmark movies, but this story could not capture my attention. Reading a half a chapter at a time was pushing it.
The use of similes was at times clever, but way overused. One a chapter is good, one every other page is bad.
There were nice descriptions of Santorini. Cute stories about what love “actually” is.
The two main characters were both scared to fall in love fighting it for awhile. But the little issues pulling them apart seemed forced.
Near the end the story picked up and was emotional. I actually cried. But I cry very easily. The end was okay, partly happy and partly eyes rolling.

"Endless Summer Memories in Santorini" by Kiva Heart is the perfect mix of sun, spice, and swoon. From the moment the main characters cross paths, the chemistry is off the charts — sizzling enough to match those famous Santorini sunsets!

Kiva Heart’s writing brings the island to life with such vivid detail that you feel like you’re there, sipping wine, dancing under the stars, and falling head over heels. The romance is playful, sexy, and full of those deliciously tense moments that keep you turning the pages.

If you love a steamy vacation romance that leaves you smiling (and maybe a little flushed), this book is your next one-click.

I enjoyed the first half immensely - the interactions with the locals and the interviews (even if they did become slightly repetitive).
Once it tipped past halfway and started really delving into Nico and Zoe’s romance, it started to get a bit performative. I still enjoyed it, but the constant repetition and referring to their fears got a little annoying. However, once the angst came back into play, I was all in.

Overall, a really enjoyable book, but perhaps just a tad too long.

loved it !! it was just a job until it wasn't... love Zoe and Nico .. this is their story... a fun well paced rom/com drama... Zoe here to write seven articles in seven days about love on the islands... it was just a job until she meet him... Nico, the photographer on the island and her new roommate... the interviews with the islanders... living the dream or just writing about it !! what would you choose ?.

Received a Kindle ARC copy courtesy of Goodreads giveaways.

Perfect summer romance novel. It’s the push and pull of two people battling their own barriers and yearning for more. I loved the vivid imagery of Greece and all that it encompassed-I felt myself lost in the atmosphere for most of the novel.

What an interesting story. It made me want to visit Greece. Zoe and Nico were a lot of fun to read about because they were such opposites. I loved Zoe's adventures and the decision to live the story instead of writing about it. A great story.

Zoe Mills a love guru ,well she’s a strict stickler with tough advice . She meets up with a photographer who has mesmerising eyes as well as changing her mind because a more worthy smile is hard to find . He’s refined the art of bloodiness but is he also her answer to happiness ? Read and find out it’s really far out good . And what a delightful setting for some intimate petting too.

OK, I’m giving this four stars because I’ve been to Santorini and I loved it. I enjoyed the way the connection and love stories were portrayed- regardless if we knew they were gonna fall in love anyway. I still loved the details, the history and the flirtation. The illusion to the sex scene was a bonus.

Both Zoe and Nico are emotionally damaged on paper. Yet they’re oddly perfect. I was swept up in not only the Santorini effect but also in the top tier sarcasm and banter that had me giggling and swooning page after page. I adored this book so much.

life lesson
Nico and Zoe are both struggling to find balance between their wish for true love and their fear of getting hurt, I loved how cynicism changed to heartfelt conversations, don´t we all wish to find our perfect match and happiness?.

I loved this book!! The writing is so descriptive that you feel like you are there in Santorini. Her main character is a writer who is tasked with writing about people falling in love in Santorini. Her descriptions of what folks tell her are amazing! For example, " . . . love didn't have to be some sweeping perfectly packaged thing. It didn't need to come with violins or vows. Maybe love was the simple act of caring when you didn't have to. Showing up. Cleaning up. Holding someone's hand when they fall"
The writing is amazing and I couldn't put the book down!!.

Zoe goes to Santorini because of a work assignment. It's a chance for her to rediscover herself. MCs are emotionally distant. Their conversations are witty, with sarcastic remarks. They both learn about love, to feel.
Love consists of different feelings, small everyday things. As me, you may discover something new. Reading this book, I escaped to the beautiful island.
