“Oh my God. You’re huge.”quickly turns into an easy-going, entertaining romance between two lovable characters. And if that wasn’t enough, we get to travel all over London with our couple, where the city itself feels like its own character in the book. Plus, the spice? Phew. They get... creative... tehe.
I smirk back at her, stroking my dick. My apparently huge dick. God, I like this woman. She doesn’t filter her thoughts and tells you exactly what she’s thinking.
Is it possible to die of embarrassment? Because I think I’m about ready to take my last breath. This is why I never do anything impulsive. Sleeping with a man that I had one conversation with before I suggested we go back to his place? I never do that. And he just so happens to be the new coach of the hockey team that employs both of us. Maybe no one will talk about this in my eulogy. Oh, who am I kidding? Imogen would love it. Died of embarrassment after having a one-night stand with the hockey coach...There were parts of this book that made me giggle & their email flirtations were adorable. I really liked this story & I’m already excited to see more from the London crew because again, it’s so... much... fun! Our MMC, Tag Easton, is from the Nashville Knights hockey world, but he retired from the team before we're introduced to them in their own series.
“Make no mistake, Olivia. You approached me. You asked to come home with me. If you want to lie to yourself, by all means, go right ahead. But I know whose name you were screaming last night.”
“Why Miss Montrose, who knew you were into hockey players.”So, aside from the occasional comment about his former team in Nashville or the side comment about living there, this is a complete standalone only loosely related to the rest of the Emily Silver world. If this is your first book from her, you're in good hands!
“Retired hockey players.” She pokes my chest. “And I’m rethinking my feelings for them at the moment.”
I lean down, kissing the corner of her mouth. “It’s okay to admit you like me.”
From Liv? That’s practically a confession of love. But I don’t let myself think that far ahead.
“I’ll admit no such thing.”
"... Life isn’t perfect. It’s messy and raw and real, and that’s what you have to look forward to, plan or not. I don’t know what number your parents did on you, but we all deserve to have someone in our lives that loves us. And make no mistake, Liv. I love you. I love every side you give me. Even the ones you think might not be perfect. You’re perfectly imperfect, and it’s what I love most about you.”This is really just the start of a new, fun hockey romance series that takes place in London.
