The boys of Frampton University’s swim team are renowned for their prestige and excellence. Their dominance and ruthless competitiveness invoke fear in those who cross them. Phoenix Huntington and Gray Ford are the new Sharks on campus, and my own personal nightmares.

Rowyn
Growing up in foster care left me with a rebellious streak and a juvenile record. Bouncing from one indifferent home to another, I learned to trust no one and mask my pain.
All I want to do is survive the hand I’ve been dealt and move the hell on.
Working and studying are my only options until they throw a wrench in my plans.
Now, I’m their new plaything, and they say I belong to them…

Phoenix
We’re gods here on campus, and no one would argue otherwise.
Except this spicy little blonde who refuses to accept her fate.
I’ve never been this consumed, but one taste was all it took. Now, I’m addicted.
And then there's Gray. Our connection is undeniable, and it’s awakening something in me I never knew existed.

Gray
Senior year was supposed to be a piece of cake, but when do plans actually work out? Nix and I were blindsided by Rowyn Caddel, never believing a hookup would turn into an instant obsession. I'm the quiet, reserved one, but that doesn't mean I'm any less dominant. My silence conceals a storm of intensity, and Rowyn's rebellion powers it. She thinks she can outrun us, but she's about to learn just how wrong she is.
You can run, little juvie, but we’ll always find you…

But secrets have a way of resurfacing, and Rowyn's past is no exception.
As my buried demons come back to haunt me, can Phoenix and Gray navigate these stormy seas and save me from drowning? Or will we all be pulled under by the weight of my past?

This is an enemies-to-lovers, MMF romance with morally gray heroes and a scarred heroine. Are you ready to dive into Frampton University?

This was intense, intoxicating and full of surprises.
Rowyn is the perfect blend of feisty, determined, vulnerable and brave. She has demons in her past that cause her to be guarded, but that doesn't stop her from putting the arrogant swim team boys obsessing over her in their place, or at least trying too.
Nix and Gray were all consuming, and you see the transition and growth from bullies and typical playboys, to obsession, to caring protectors.
The story handles dark themes, and does not shy away from the spice, which hits in early and does not let up. If you're looking for 2 morally grey obsessive dominant MMC's with the touch her and die mantra, Nix and Gray are it. I also loved the bi-awakening plot, seeing all 3 pov's, and the elements of suspense and danger from Rowyn's past.
This is a thrilling and spicy little nugget!

Rowyn was so strong and independent. I absolutely loved her. Phoenix and Gray were protective and possessive in the best way.
Rowyn always hid parts of her past from everyone, she had to be strong and do everything on her own. Gray and Nix knew what they wanted and nothing would stop them. When Rowyn opens up to them, their feelings become deeper and they will stop at nothing to keep her safe. Their feelings for each other also deepen and grow.

I really enjoy sports romance, and if the mmcs are on the swim team then it’s a must read, because just imagine water dripping off those hot as heck abs. Ok enough of my weird imagery. There really is only one swimming scene but I’ll take it. This book has a very typical bully romance type setup. First half, they’re bullying her, making her life harder, blackmailing her and all that stuff. Then halfway through they realise she’s been through some rough sh*t and decide to protect her instead. But under the gauze of a bully romance this book is about healing and acceptance. Rowyn has been through so much and came out tough (and what she went through made me sick so check triggers PLEASE). Her journey of learning to trust other and allowing herself to be loved was so heartwarming. Now, Phoenix or Nix, and Gray are hot assholes, but they’re Rowyn’s hawt assholes. They’re possessive and protective and just the right amount of morally grey, because you’ll realize that they’re not just typical college students. This plot though having a typical structure wasn’t typical in content. I was pretty hooked onto the plot, it had some good plot twists and a great happy ending. For the spicy stuff it’s mostly MFM, but turns into MMF (so there’s mm action) near the end! My only little issue is that little juvie is a terrible nickname, I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry every time Gray said it. Sunshine (which is what Nix calls Rowyn), is so much better. I enjoyed this but it didn’t really stand out to me so for me it’s a 3.5/5

ARC review for Freestyle by LB Martin

Thanks to LB for the ARC opportunity!

What to expect: bully/enemies to lovers, MMF, touch her and die, obsessed MMC, masked men, morally grey MCs, stalker, man obsessed, best friend's brother (and his BFF)

Trigger warning: the author includes a pretty comprehensive list at the beginning of the book. Definitely check it out before diving in if you have any potential triggers.

Review: 2.5/5

I was really looking forward to returning to Frampton University but, unfortunately this one didn't really hit the mark for me. Let's talk about it.

Things I liked:
- LB Martin can write a spicy scene and boy do we dive into the spice right away. Slow burn? Who's she? Not happening at Frampton U! The spice is often and hot and if that's what you're looking for, this could scratch that itch...

Things I disliked or missed the mark:
- ...but honestly, that's was about it. I had lots of problems with the rest of the book. To start, I don't feel like you really get to know any of the MCs of this relationship. Yes, we met all of them in book one. But I don't feel like I know them much more after reading book two. We learn a lot about Rowyn's past. But not really Gray's or Nix's. And, despite learning about Row's past, you get nothing beyond being told what happened. You don't really learn about the fallout, how she coped, how she managed in the system for another nine years, etc. Like, what happened to her happened, and now she's in college. That's it. These characters could have been full of so much depth but we don't get any of that.
- I mentioned this in my review for book one and it rings true again in book two but I had a hard time grasping the passage of time in the book.
- Along with that, I felt like chucks of the book were missing. Like, there were so many sections where I was like, "When did we learn that?" or "How did we get here?" It was just very disjointed. For example, at one point Nix says something to Rowyn about remembering when they talked about her favorite place on campus and Rowyn immediately responds with "the fountain." This is legitimately the first mention of a fountain. There could have been so much opportunity to form a connection between the characters by *showing* us this conversation. But no. Instead, you get a random info drop of this conversation previously happening to simply move the story along. All of a sudden we're worshiping Rowyn's scars when there's literally been no past mention of physical reminders of her past. Rowyn has had literally no problem reaching climax the entire book both before and after the, well, story's climax, and all of a sudden she needs their coaching and encouragement to get there. And then she does like six times in a row. It was just so choppy. And, on top of that, the language just felt so repetitive. The same descriptor was used for the same thing within a few paragraphs of one another in several spots. The characters have the same back-and-forth in dialogue and within their thoughts within a single interaction. It was exhausting reading it. Honestly, I hit the 40% mark and I just started skimming hoping it would get better.
- I understand the Frampton U series is meant to be an interconnected standalone series. But I was so bummed we didn't get more Fallon or Remy cameos. Like, Fallon is in one scene at the beginning and one scene at the end. Remy makes a couple more appearances but every one was surface level. It made it feel like, "Oh crap. I haven't really included Remy or Fallon in anything. Let's drop them into a few scenes so we get to see them," but those appearances were gratuitous at best.

So, that was a bummer. I hate to feel this way because I was very excited for this follow-up installment to Frampton U. Now, that said, I had an ARC and I noticed when I was looking at the GR page to write this review, the book details showed it was 467 pages. My ARC was 328. That's obviously a HUGE difference. Perhaps some of my biggest issues were resolved between ARCs and the final publication. It stands to reason that a lot of story was added to account for all those additional pages. If that's the case, here's hoping it helped cleaned up some of the messiness (and some of the grammar, spelling, and unnecessary character errors because the ARC copy was full of them. Not holding that against the ARC because I know it was likely still in edits but worth noting given my other issues). I'm bummed I didn't love this one. I haven't decided if I'll be back to enroll at FU again in the future. We'll have to see if the mood strikes.

I have been waiting oh so patiently for this book! As soon as I started to read, I was immediately immersed and I savored every single word. It consumed me and I let it soak deep inside my bones! The Prologue will have you feral for more.
After reading “Backstroke,” the first book in the “Boys of Frampton U” series, I knew I would fall head over heels for these two “Shark” boys, Grayson and Phoenix. Half of my heart belongs to these boys, and the other half belongs to Rowyn. She is a strong spit fire! She has survived so much in her life and her walls are built high. Enter Gray and Nix! They want to break her to make her theirs, but they are the ones who break first. Their dominance and obsession should be feared but Rowyn is not afraid!
Go buy, download, or do whatever you need to do to get your hands on this book.
I can’t get enough of LB Martin’s writing. I AM ADDICTED!!! “Run, little juvie.”

The boys of Frampton University's swim team are all known for their prestige and excellence in the water. Their dominance and ruthless competitiveness invoke nothing but fear in all those who cross them. Phoenix Huntington and Gray Ford are the new Sharks on campus, and more than that they are Rowyn's personal nightmares.

Rowyn grew up in foster care and it left her with this rebellious streak and a juvenile record a mile long. She's bounced from home to home finding nothing but indifference. Through it all she's learned to trust no one and knowing that no one cared, she just masked all her pain.

All Rowyn wants to do is just survive the life she's been given and move on and try to find something better. She knows that the only way she'll find a better life is to study and get the best education possible, at least until THEY throw a hammer into all her plans.

Rowyn now finds that she's nothing more than their plaything, and they have decided that Rowyn belongs to them...

Phoenic knows that together with Gray, they are the new gods on campus, and no one would dare to say a word otherwise.
Except for this hotheaded, spicy tiny blonde who refuses to roll over and just accept her fate.
Phoenix finds that he's never been this consumed, all it took was one taste of that spicy girl. Now, he's addicted to her.
And Gray, Phoenix knows that they have an undeniable connection, and he finds that it's awakening something in him that he's never felt before and never even knew existed before.

Gray knew that senior year was supposed to have been a walk in the park for them, but then again, when have plans ever gone as planned? Rowyn Caddel took both Gray and Phoenix by surprise, and neither one of them believed an innocent hookup was going to end up turning into an obsession.

Gray is the quiet, reserved one between him and Phoenix, but at the same time that doesn't mean that Gray isn't just as dominant. His silence is just hiding a storm of intensity, and Rowyn's rebellion is powering it.

Rowyn thinks that she can outrun them, that she can hide from them, that she doesn't belong to them. But, she doesn't realize just how wrong she is. The little juvie can run and hide, but Phoenix and Gray will always find her.

Everyone always knows that secrets never stay buried or stay in the shadows, and for Rowyn, her past is no different.

As the demons that Rowyn has kept buried in the shadows slowly come back to haunt her, can Phoenix and Gray navigate these stormy seas and save her from drowning?

Will Phoenix, Gray, and Rowyn all be pulled under by the weight of her past and eventually ripped apart little by little?

This book is an enemies-to-lovers, MMF romance that has morally gray heroes and and scarred and scared FMC. Are you truly ready to dive into Frampton University?

YOU'RE MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS!!! Please read and consider the trigger warnings before you start reading this book. There are some subjects and scenes in this book that are not suitable for all readers and could be triggering for others. Please remember that your mental health always comes first.

Freestyle is book 2 in the Boys of Frampton U. A MMF Dark College Bully Romance by L.B. Martin. I have been waiting for this book ever since I read the first book in this series Backstroke. I loved this book, the why-choose element, the bi awakening, and I did enjoy that it was a hockey romance as I am starting to enjoy hockey romances more and more.

Gray and Phoenix (Nix) are new to Frampton University and one night at a party they see Rowyn and they set their eyes on her. There's a little bit of dub-con here, but the night ends with Gray and Phoenix end up having a one-night stand with Rowyn. Rowyn knows their reputation, they never do more than just a one-night stand, but, she's fine with that.

A few weeks later, as the semester ends, Rowyn agrees to stay with her best friend for the summer, her best friend just happens to be Gray's sister.

The thing is, Gray hasn't forgotten that one night he spent with Rowyn and Nix. Really, it's burned into his head. And as for Nix? He's been messing up swim meets because he can't get that night out of his head, because he can't get Rowyn out of his head.

Freestyle is more than just an MMF story, an enemies-to-lovers story, a why-choose story. Freestyle includes the story of childhood trauma, a not-so-good kind of stalker, and loads and loads of spice.

I loved the characters in this book. I loved the world that L.B. Martin has created in Frampton University. The storyline with the plot and subplot was perfectly created and I just loved every moment of it.

I recommend this book if you enjoy high spice, why-choose, enemies-to-lovers, MMF, childhood trauma, and a great storyline. And I do recommend L.B. Martin as an author. L.B. is a great author with an amazing voice.

Freestyle is the second book in Boys of Frampton University. Through this story, the author expresses beautiful storytelling skills with emotional depth, humor, well-developed characters, captivating plot, romance, mystery, and intrigue. This fast-paced story is filled with twists, turns, and unexpected surprises that delve into complex moral themes and feature a dark bully romance and enemies to lovers trope yet it's so much more than that. Once you start reading, it's impossible to put the book down due to its addictive and intoxicating nature.

Rowyn Caddel is a foster care survivor. That experience alone taught her not to trust anyone and to mask her pain. Rowyn is a complex character: feisty, brave, determined, down-to-earth, and vulnerable. She is guarded due to her past, but she's not afraid to stand up for herself and challenge the arrogant and dominant swim team boys, Phoenix Huntington and Gray Ford, when she catches their attention and becomes an object of their obsession. Rowyn is also strong and independent, having built walls around herself to cope with her past. On the other hand, Phoenix and Gray see themselves as gods on campus, but their lives are disrupted and turned upside down by Rowyn and her rebellious nature. Phoenix is captivated by Rowyn's spirit/determination, and Gray is drawn to her intensity. Despite their initial reluctance, they find themselves drawn to her and consumed by their desire. At first, they believe they can "fix" her and "break" her, but as they start opening up to each other, allowing vulnerability, their feelings and connection deepen. Both Nix and Gray have secrets and demons of their own, which threaten to ruin their relationship with Rowyn, same as Rowyn's past. This adds another layer of complexity to the story. The dynamic between Rowyn, Nix, and Gray is one of mutual obsession, but also a deep emotional connection. I love the way Nix and Gray were willing to do whatever it takes to protect and care for Rowyn. What started as an entangled and complex web of attraction and obsession became an epic love. They were flawed and endearing, making me root for them.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Recommended.

Ahhh … Author LB Martin is So. Dang. Good. at the Bully Romance trope—just as she did with Backstroke, Freestyle is well written, Phoenix, Gray, and Rowyn are very nicely fleshed out—as well as the supporting characters, bully scenes are cruel—as they should be, MMCs are OTT possessive and protective—the way they deal with those that have it coming is good in my book 😉, the polyamory sex scenes progression from MFM to MMF is smooth, natural, believable, and all the scenes are … steamy-STEAMY—everything a Dark College Bully Romance trope should be.

Because I have seen several authors beaten down lately, not from the quality of their work, but due to trigger content, I feel compelled to add this additional information:

The author has placed a page at the start of the book with “CONTENT WARNING” written in oversized bold lettering. The author includes this page to inform—‘Is this book right for you?’ Because your mental health is important.

* “Some scenes in this novel may be extremely upsetting, therefore, reader discretion is advised.”

* The content warning page at the beginning of this book very clearly lists what I consider the BASICS of a Bully or Mafia Romance:
* NON consent (if you view this as r ape in a bully or mafia book between MCs—unless stated otherwise on the CW page—please read another book)
* dubious consent
* degradation

We are back with the Boys of Frampton U and their highly attractive, not one dud in the whole bunch of them, Swim Team. I loved the first book in the series, Backstroke (can’t lie, at one point I had my fingers crossed for a book in the series called Breaststroke, but that’s a no, as the final book in the series will be called Butterfly).

Freestyle did not disappoint. Where Backstroke was M/F and was Remy and Fallon’s story, Freestyle is MM/F and is Gray, Nix and Rowyn’s story. You know what I love slightly more than a girl with a harem of boyfriends? When her boyfriends have boyfriends 😍😍🥵…..BUT only within the group, obviously. No outsourcing. I digress…..

Rowyn is an extremely guarded girl. Walls up. Let no one in. Absolutely safer that way. I get it. Her childhood led her to this point and when we find out later in the book why, it’s completely understandable why she is the way she is. But then when the monster from her past hides in the shadows in the present, never wanting to let her go, she feels completely alone….but

Yes, there’s a but. Prior to this, she caught the attention of Gray and Nix, best friends, swim teammates and their campus popularity is confirmed when you read “last year they made their way through half the girls track team” and then some. So…players of the highest level. Top tier. But Rowyn is Grays sisters best friend and she draws their ….unwanted….attention. Their reputation precedes them and she has no interest in being a “possession”.

But feelings can change, you look at people in a different light when they’re there for you in your darkest moments and maybe, just maybe, you shouldn’t assume you’ll be treated like all the rest.

A solid entry in this series and I look forward to the next.

Will They Make Her Bleed, Or Will They Bleed For Her

One night, it was only supposed to be a one-time thing, but when one night escalated into more than either three of the characters were ready for. Will ghosts of the past return and ruin what they are all trying to figure out between them, or will they overcome the odds? This book does have a few heavy trigger warnings, so please do read those before diving in.

Rowyn: A foster care child who aged out of the system and went to college, fending for herself. The past starts to catch up with her, and the boys she swore would be a one and done thing, trying to make her theirs. Will she let the sharks take a bite?
Grayson: One of the colleges' top swimmers, a shark. He felt the need to try something he shouldn't, his little sisters friend and roommate. Will he be able to tamper his feelings and let go, or will he cling to what he thinks belong to him? Will he finally allow secret feelings to be known?
Phoenix: Best friends with Gray since grade school, whom he shares everything with, including women. Will he be able to release his demons and protect those he cares about, even the ones who dont know it yet?

This is an MMF Sports Bully Romance, is a standalone, but I recommend reading Backstroke first for the dynamic.

I haven’t read to many college bully romances or MMF books, but this one was enjoyable. I did like this book more than the first one.

I enjoyed seeing Rowyn’s character and seeing her past pop up in the book and how she had to deal with the pain that she felt. She wasn’t afraid to stand up to the guys, even if they didn’t appreciate her trying to be big and bad. Phoenix and Gray were some strong characters who made it known that Rowyn was theirs, even if it did start as a one-night stand. I love how dominant Phoenix was over Rowyn and ensured that nobody would put their hands on her. I do wish we would have seen Gray be a little more dominant.

This book will take you through different emotions with seeing their stories. I was happy to see the different POVs throughout the book because it helps to add each of their perspectives. I will say the chapters are a little on the longer side and trigger warnings should be checked before reading it. It was interesting seeing the confidential case file for Rowyn, which made me dislike Alberto even more than I did.

Favorite Quote: “We are the gods of your undoing, and we won’t be satisfied until you’re shattered and remade in our image.”

When reading Baskstroke, I immediately fell in love with Gray and Nix, so finding out that they were going to be in a book...together... was like waking up in the perfect dream.

Freestyle is the epitome of Bully Romance and was even better than I had expected with the two MMCs pushing our lovely FMC, Rowyn, to her breaking point and beyond. What they don't know is how far they are pushing her, until they dig up her past.

With the turn of each page and each new chapter in which we are given a different point of view I was taken on a ride of emotions: I held my breath, I cried, I wanted to yell at the MMCs, I wanted to yell at Rowyn, I was fanning myself because the spice... yes. I would be convinced that Rowyn's past was right around the corner and then... bam... the suspense built up so much that I nearly exploded. The short chapter with Alby's point of view was an extremely nice touch as well.

The ending was perfect.
The bi-awakening was represented extremely well.
The layers of emotions the characters went through could be felt deep within my core.
The banter didn't feel forced.

I can't wait to see what L.B. comes up with next.

This book is spicy! Two male characters who have feelings for each other, decide to lay claim to a previously abused female character.

The female character is hesitant, but drawn to them and their possessive nature is alluring to her. She is hesitant, but enter the stalker who abused her as a child.

There are triggers in this book, so it is not for the faint of heart. Some very uncomfortable situations arise, but because of the protective nature of the two male characters, he gets what is coming to him. The book draws you in and is masterfully written with incredibly descriptive and beautifully written dialogue.

If you are looking for dark romance, this is definitely a book you will want to read. Don’t forget to check out LB Martin’s other books. With mental health issues at the forefront of most of her stories, LB draws you in.

Again, there are dark triggers in this book. Don’t go into it without checking out the trigger warnings.

In conclusion, it’s a wonderfully scripted book with a dark story and A LOT of spice! Don’t hesitate to check it out!

I am still trying to process this book. First, please check all trigger warnings. This book has some topics that are talked about in a charters past, that could be triggering to some, so please protect yourself. Now, even with that, this was a wonderful book. I would say this falls a little in the dark romance but just barely. We get a college sports, bully, enemies to lovers, found family tropes with this book. It also does end in a HEA. This is book 2 in a stand a lone inter connected series.

I loved the strength of the FMC and how she keep fighting. Some of her actions that were lead by her feelings, kinda hit home for me. The MMC is the typical alpha hole that does not see what he has at first. I wanted to hate them before I ever really got to know them, but I'm so glad that I didn't.

There is spice in this book and it is hot. The spice does not overtake the plot. This is a very plot heave book with some burn you hot spice along the way.

Overall ratings 4 stars, 5 smiles, 3 peppers and 1 black heart.

Freestyle is book two of the Boys of Frampton U Series.

This one had a lot of dark elements involved with it. Please read any trigger warnings before reading.

Rowyn has a dark and traumatic past which she has to continuously overcome. She doesn't let herself get close in relationships as she doesn't want to be owned or made to feel like a toy. However, Nix and Gray did not get the message. They are used to getting their way, and they make sure in this instance that they get what they want. Over time you do see them start to soften and change a bit towards Row. You can tell their feelings are growing and they do everything they can to protect her when he past comes reeling back into her life. This trio had a lot of overcome to be together, but as they spent more time together, the emotions they were feeling for each other kept growing.

This was a fantastic read. I really liked how everything was portrayed in this story.

Rowyn, Gray, and Nix—A Why Choose You’ll Crave

Okay besties, buckle up because "Freestyle" by L.B. Martin is a whole dark, delicious ride. Rowyn’s story gutted me—growing up in foster care, surviving trauma, and then facing her past when her foster brother resurfaces after 10 years? Whew… my heart was in my throat. But let’s talk about Gray and Nix. The possessiveness, the obsession, the way they claim Rowyn—it’s raw, it’s consuming, and it had me glued to the page. And Nix’s bi-awakening? SO intense and beautifully messy. Watching him unravel and embrace his desires was pure gold.

And babes, the spice… I’m talking in-your-face from the beginning and it never lets up. WHHEEEWWW! 🔥🔥 It’s MMF, Why Choose, Bi-Awakening dark romance at its finest—equal parts emotional, suspenseful, and sinfully hot. Just please, for your own good, read the trigger warnings first.

*ARC Review*

It is a good bully, why choose romance, with so many good hot scenes.

On the good side, I liked the contrast between Gray and Nix personalities and how they couldn't keep their hands off of Rowy, how protective they turned over her when they found out about her past.
And of course, the spicy around those three!!Stupidly hot!

Now, on the bad side, I constantly felt like there were so many things the author wanted to say that it didn't land on either quite right.
I would've loved to see a little more story around Nix and Gray's awakening. Although there were little hints through the story, when it finally happened fet... rushed? and as it happened by the ending of the story, I didn't had the tine to enjoy it as much as I would've wanted it.

Finding closure and so much more

Rowyn is rebellious and trusts no one. She learned very young that people will hurt you. She was in foster care and has a record but she just wants to get her degree now and move on.

Phoenix and Gray are on the swim team and gods on campus. They never came back for seconds until Rowyn. She is feisty and a brat but they are determined to break her. Except they don't know what she has dealt with or how their actions may affect her.

This was an intense and spicy read. There was a bunch of underlying trauma, ignored attraction and a whole lot of healing. I was honesty rooting for the boys to get together the entire story. The three of these characters were so hot together.

There wasn’t physical bullying but they did it verbally with a little blackmail. Phoenix (Nix) and Grayson (Gray) felt a pull towards Rowyn which led to a night of raw, steamy sex that made them crave more. They both did and said things that hurt Rowyn without meaning to because she kept her secrets to herself. But the connection and chemistry between them is everything Nix and Gray could ever ask for that they will never let her go, they will do anything & everything to protect her. I loved how their storyline progressed throughout the story, not just between Rowyn and the boys but between Gray and Nix too. This was a pretty good read. Can’t wait for book 2!

This book was a ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2 star read. Unfortunately it didnt live up to the first book which I absolutely love. The story was good but I felt it did drag alittle in places. I loved how you got to see the full circle of things especially with the epilogue.
I give it a 🌶🌶🌶 spice overall. It had some really good moments, I wish there was just alittle but more of explorations in there 1 on 1 relationships. At the start it seemedblike there was but then it sort of died. Overall a good book but not as good as the first

Had to DNF at 59%.

I tried to stick it out - I tried and while I didn’t hate this book, I couldn’t get past how much the character development was seriously lacking. I never felt like I truly knew the main characters beyond surface-level details, and a lot of emotional depth was missing. There were also so many plot holes and moments that lacked context, which made parts of the story feel confusing and disjointed. Overall, it had potential, but it just didn’t feel fully developed or cohesive.

Rowyn, Gray & Phoenix have a unique story. She's been through so much. There's a lot of trauma from her past. Unfortunately the guys pile on without fully realizing what damage they're causing. What was supposed to be a one night thing quickly turned into obsession. The plot of the book was a bit drawn out & rushed all at once. The confrontation at the fountain was more & also less than what I was expecting. Overall a good read but it feels like maybe it's missing something that I can't put my finger on. I wish the guys had more of a build up instead of just going from thoughts to full on.

I absolutely love l.b martins books and her writing style. Im always captivated from start to finish. And this had my attention from the start. I couldn't put it down once I started, it's a rollercoaster ride with twists and turns, it's action packed and will have you on the edge of your seat. The storyline, characters and plot was so well written and done. Just beautiful. I can't wait to read more by her. She's one of my top 10 fave authors. Highly recommend!!

Loved this! It's Rowyn & her guys' story & it was awesome! She's working to pay her college loans & catches their eyes, she's instantly on guard. She's been through a lot of trauma at a young age & it affected her everyday life, especially people getting too physically close to her. But the guys are determined to have her & they stop at nothing to get her. But her past has caught up to her & she's in danger. Loved the story & the spice was fantastic! Highly recommend this book & author!

There’s something about watching the bad boys soften and open up their hearts that makes you want to find your own bad boy. Nix and Gray were the typical captains of the swim team that thought they could have whoever, whenever. Rowyn is hurt from her past and doesn’t want to give in. I loved watching this group come together. This is a dark, MMF and absolutely scorching hot! Can’t wait for the next book!

Oh Rowyn, Gray and Nix! What started as a one night threesome turned into something so much more. Gray and Nix are Sharks and rule the school and swim team. Rowyn is Gray’s younger sister’s best friend. They are obsessed with her. They want to own and break her for everyone else. But feelings start to come for all three of them, and this game turns into real life. Even more when Rowan’s dark past comes to haunt her. They promised to bleed for her, and they did just that.

3.5 stars rounded down. When the story focuses on the dynamics of the throuple it is solid. Whenever it deviates from that it goes a bit off the rails. There’s a whole section with the masked men trope that had absolutely no business being in this story - it comes out of nowhere, there’s follow up to it, it’s rather pointless and just checks a trope box. The way the characters behave in that scene goes against their behavior in the rest of the book. But for the most part, aside from that and the handful of other instances where the plot outweighs the emotional stakes, it’s a good bully romance with eventual regret, groveling, and atonement. The FMC gets to be a complex character with both jagged and soft edges and the mmc’s rise to the occasion of their character growth.

one thing about the book is that it starts off hot and spicy!! Gray and Nix are 🥵 like the mouth on those boys. They saw what they wanted and took it, literally. I dont even think Rowyn knew what she was getting into. These boys caused her trauma, but when her past trauma came back they were also there for her no matter what!

A read I couldn’t put down.

I loved this book so much I couldn’t put it down. It is reminiscent of Shantel Tessier and Elle Kennedy together in a Swim Team Dark Romance. I do wish that the characters in the first book would have been there more and expanded on but that didn’t take away from the love of the book.
