Life on the run, with a heritage you never asked for, isn't easy for Taylor. The witches came at her hard, but she fought for a chance at life and destroyed Halo's Diamond so they couldn't sacrifice her. But now, the witches and werewolves want revenge and will stop at nothing. Taylor and her friends decide to seek refuge with Jesse's dad in the mountains of France. The ancient castle sits on a beautiful mountain top deep in the French Alps. But will it be enough to keep Taylor safe from so many immortal enemies?
Chrissy Peebles, a practicing nurse, has always loved reading and writing fantasy from the earliest age she can remember. She plotted every single twist she could think of during bedtime stories for her children. When her little ones begged for more adventures, she felt confident enough to let her overeager imagination and sense of humor spill out into her first novel. She lives in Ohio with her husband, two young kids, one hamster, three dwarf hamsters and cat. When she's not taking the kids to Little League soccer, basketball, or baseball, she loves to snap photos as her favorite hobby.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tension peaks as the group hides in the French Alps. The isolated castle setting adds a gothic edge. With revenge brewing and Taylor’s powers growing, this installment balances danger and romance nicely. A standout in the series so far.
Maybe 2.5 stars. It was Chaos alright. I just wanted it to end. Yes, No, Ok, why did you do that? That was basically the whole book. Yes there was action. The action was good but all of Taylors indecision killed me! I'm going to do this, ok I did it, Oh why did I do that. Boo Hoo me! Why is everyone trying to kill me after I destroyed their artifact. I don't want to die. Then, see I did the right thing, it was going to destroy the world, but now I hold all of the power inside me, why are they still after me? Then add Jesse's and Taylor's over the top "love" for each other. I love you, no I love you more, no I love you more. Just hang up already! We get it you love each other.
don't know if I can read the next book. Maybe I should stop while I'm ahead. Oh I don't know, what should I do? ;p
This book certainly lived up to the name, it was Chaos! A lot was happening and it happened quickly. I did really like the twist with the witch's magic, it always felt wrong the it would have just went away. The gargoyles were not needed in this series, but it did get us to Jesse's dad and it did get the characters out of danger from witches, werewolves, and vampires.
Over all this was a good series to read it was a bit on the slow to develop but I enjoy the ending the book itself was bit of a let down not what I suspected at all.
What a chaotic book! Definitely lived up to its name. This book was awesome! Kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Had a hard time wanting to put the book down. Mystery, lots of action, adventure, magic and more. On to the next book can't wait!
Jesse and Taylor's love runs deep. It has encountered and survived many immortal and paranormal species, including family. What else is life going to throw at them.......can't wait to find out.
