Natasha Walker and her sister Audrey are the lucky ones. They survived the supernova that killed most of Earth’s population and gained supernatural powers. When Audrey vanishes, Natasha doesn’t know where to go or what to do until a man appears on her doorstep and says he knows where Audrey a safe haven in Canada. Natasha decides to venture into a world where no one can be trusted, as the scientists who lived through the supernova do everything they can to control the new world.

Natalie Marie started writing when she was eleven, after being inspired by Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Ever since then, she hasn't stopped writing. When Stars Explode is her tenth novel, and the first she decided to publish.

Besides writing, Natalie loves to read fantasy, dystopian, and romance, drink lots of caffeine, teach yoga, and hang out with her siblings.

Great story!

The Darkest Minds collides with The 5th Wave? Give it to me!
I loved the idea and the plot of this book! We should definitely give dystopian novels the fame that it had a few years ago!
The sisters bound in this book was gut-wrenching, and I waited for their reunion for so long! There were plot twists I didn't expect and all! It shoked me enough for my jaw to drop!
However, I feel like the writing style was way too simple, and some dialogues didn't feel natural. And the end was a bit rushed and a lot of things weren't explained at all.
But it was a really fun read!💜

Thoughts on this book:

This gave me Shatter Me vibe, but without the romance. It had a strong focus on family over found family, which was a refreshing twist!

I loved that while I already felt familiar with the world, there was still meaningful worldbuilding in the aftermath of the catastrophe. It felt both grounded and expansive.

Natalie did a WONDERFUL job blending dystopian and sci-fi elements. I can easily see this turning into a series, each book focusing on different characters within this world.
Would absolutely read more set in this universe!
