Justice Twill thought surviving the cruise was the hard part. Turns out, unresolved childhood trauma, alpha ego, CEO drive, and being a pack leader doesn't mix well. He's drowning in his need to control everything while denying himself the very comfort his omegas are desperate to give.
Ren launches a conspiracy with his omegas, Mackenzie and Theo, to break down Justice’s walls.
Commence - Operation: CuddleDom
Mackenzie is tasked with turning their alpha into a cuddle monster. Theo must nurture their fragile power dynamic. Calling his alpha “Sir” in front of his pack might be the hardest thing he has to do.
And Ren? Well, despite not being the pack lead, he always gets to be on top.
As Justice cracks in the best possible way, all four of them discover that true intimacy means being brave enough to be vulnerable and completely messy.
This novella is a companion to Why Cruise, part of the Port Haven Omegaverse, and is best enjoyed after reading Why Cruise. A steamy, emotional look at love after the happily ever after, where the real work of building a pack begins.
I have always loved smart, sexy, magical fiction…. When a group of witches, vampires, and shifters started hanging out in my brain, I couldn’t say no and had to make them real on paper!
I LOVE morally gray characters.
I LOVE impossible choices.
I LOVE characters who want to burn it all to the ground. Bonus points if it's to save someone they love.
This was incredibly fun and incredibly satisfying — I didn’t know that this was exactly what I needed for a bonus follow-up to “Why Cruise,” but it was perfect!
As much as I loved the HEA in the book, it’s very realistic that not every problem or trauma is instantly resolved after the formation of a pack.
Justice really struggles with anxiety and control issues, and while he’s deliriously happy with Mackenzie, Theo, and Ren, he’s still working on getting over some of his childhood drama and his adult coping mechanisms.
So, the three of them plot in secret to help him break through some of those walls… but just because it’s therapeutic doesn’t mean that it can’t be sweet, funny, and sexy.
4.5 stars. This novella continues on from “Why Cruise?” and is quadruple POV, well written, and a character focused, sweet and erotic, reverse harem, omegaverse romance. I enjoyed the ready identification of mental health issues that each of the lead characters was working through. I enjoyed that their packmates were willing and able to assist. I enjoyed the playful banter and the love felt by the characters. I enjoyed Mackenzie’s (the female omega lead) growing self-confidence and initiative. I enjoyed Theo’s (the male omega lead) growing acceptance of the validity of his personal preferences. I enjoyed the scheming of Ren, one male alpha lead, and enjoyed the way he focused on improving pack dynamics for all of them. I enjoyed the character development for Justice, the second male alpha lead. I enjoyed the erotic intimate scenes and their contribution to both the group relationship and separate pair/triad dynamics. I really loved reading about a pack already settled and working through their issues to mature in their relationship. I just wanted more!
I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.

Now that the pack is home everyone is trying to adjust to their new home. And for Justice this has been harder than he thought. His desire to control everything has resulted in denying himself any comfort from his omegas. Ren, Theo and Mackenzie are determined to break down his walls. So they start Operation CuddleDom, which starts to wear down Justice slowly but surely.
This was a sweet follow up novella to Why Cruise. After the HEA are some of my favorite types of novellas. I get so invested in the characters and their story that I always want more. And I loved seeing how these 4 interacted with each other as they explored their pack bonds while still dealing with their issues. Mackenzie and Ren's interactions were my favorite. I loved their banter. And while I would like more of this story I feel like this was built a good foundation for the pack and they will be fine. Looking forward to more Port Haven stories.
This is a (short) fast wind sprint of a read that manages to make the best out of 170 odd pages. We get the focused problem, plan, successful collaborative effort without 87 million complexities the original book threw at us. It's almost like the relationship was built out of order - the original story was slammed full of over the top antics and this epilogue-esque novella is where ALL of the relationship building happens. The focus is more on Justice and Theo but, Ren and Mackenzie each get their place on page, and the balance works well. The author also manages to leave me wanting more but happily accepting this as the end of the Twill pack focus (Nico and Star have my attention).
A really sweet and entertaining read as Justice is helped through his childhood issues by his pack mates who are so loving towards him. So much fun to read.
