An okay introductory work to Gramsci exploring passive/popular revolution, hegemony, the nature of intellectuals, crisis, and Fordism; Jones relies largely on the work of Stuart Hall. Good as can be expected from a non-Marxist, anti-Leninist text clearly meant for students to apply Gramscian analysis without Marxist political implications. Interesting analysis and critique of Post-Marxism in the conclusion, emphasizing Laclau/Mouffe's use of Gramsci in a way largely incongruent with his thought.
