I really enjoy these Pomme Bilingual publications, and after several disappearing from Hoopla, I was happy to discover this bilingual edition (Italian-English) of nine very short stories that evoke a certain nostalgia and atmosphere.
The stories are simple yet sweet, and they're interesting enough to hold my attention in a way that other short stories for language learning don't.
I like that Pomme put the transmission after the target language. I prefer this to parallel text because I'm more inclined to re-read to see if I can figure out words from the context, rather than glancing to the adjacent page.
The stories are just short enough to read one each day and just challenging enough to be educational. The vocabulary is varied and not as repetitious as in many beginner Italian books.
