The Holy Wars of Millsaps College and Mississippi College Football. A football series begun in 1920, canceled due to riots in 1960, and miraculously renewed for a September 2, 2000, game in Jackson's Veterans Memorial Stadium. This is the story about the most heated college football rivalry in the South, one so intense it was dubbed Holy War with manic beanie fights, raids of each other's campus, downtown Jackson fistfights, and the life-threatening riot in 1960 that forced the end of the series.
