Forbidden romance

Part of the Dark Desires series. A fast paced read with an age-gap forbidden romance, suspense, steam, spice, twists and a HEA.

Years after discovering she was adopted Rose learns she's the lost sister of Henry Devereaux (Library of Sin) and Victor (Legacy of Lust). She leaves London to go to New York and Wolfswood academy to learn about her family and gain the skills she needs for the world she's entering. She's offered additional tuition by Professor Thorne and their time together soon becomes more than just lessons. But she's risking her inheritance and he's risking his reputation and job being together.

It was lovely watching Rose grow in character throughout this story.

I love taboo romances, and so does the story of Thorn, a professor, and Rose, his student, who has come to Wolfswood to learn how to be a lady. But that's not all; she was sent to the school after discovering she was adopted and belonged to the Deveraux family. So they can't admit their feelings for each other, because that could mean scandal and his career. Will they have a future together, or will the person who has them in the picture ruin his career and her legacy?

This is a taboo professor/student affair. Rose comes to Wolfswood to learn ‘to be a lady’. She was adopted but later learned she was an heiress of the Devereaux family. In order to get her inheritance, she had to attend the school. There cannot be a scandal either. However, Professor Thorn is entranced and leads her astray. Things take a turn as someone videos a romantic encounter. They both can lose everything! I love the way they work their way around it.

Continuing the Devereaux Siblings stories with the lost sister Rose, this beautiful story with its simple plot is touching and wholesome. I love how Rose transforms from the beginning to the end. Their story is classic in many ways, but still refreshing. And interesting.

Rose is sent to Wolfswood after learning of her birth family. Immediately, she finds herself attracted to Professor Gabriel, but there can be no scandal without severe consequences. This was an emotionally captivating story with complex characters and heartpounding moments. I could not put it down.

Rose, a long lost Devereaux family member, is a student at Wolfswood University and Gabriel is her teacher. He has a way of seeing past all the walls Rose hides behind, and an intense, passionate connection sparks. But since she is his student, they aren't supposed to be together, so they end up hiding their relationship. She is risking her inheritance and he his job and reputation.

She's naive, innocent and easy to persuade while he's charismatic, dominant and panty-melting!

I enjoyed this sweet, steamy short read!
