Charlotte Barnes’s rare solo weekend is interrupted by an unexpected guest, Jaxon Miles. Though their families have feuded for years, the single-mom enjoys a weekend fling with the sexy rodeo star while snowed in. But what was supposed to end with goodbye turns into a business opportunity she simply can’t turn down.
Jaxon Miles has had a crush on Charlotte since they were knee-high to a grasshopper, so the house-sitting gig that turns into sexy times with her is an early Christmas present. But he returns home to learn that his rodeo career may be over, an ending Jaxon is desperate to avoid. And what better way to keep his options open than a business collaboration with Charlotte?
So this December, they’re making plans to launch a joint venture and tip-toeing around both their family feud and Marietta’s misconceptions about the rebel cowgirl. But when a Santa with money bags appears, one of their dreams is granted and the other crushed. Can Jaxon and Charlotte make a way for both their Christmas wishes under the same starry sky?

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely heartwarming and full of Christmas cheer!
The Cowboy’s Christmas Truce by Kyra Jacobs is everything I love in a holiday romance — sweet, emotional, and filled with small-town charm. Charlotte and Jaxon’s story had me hooked from the very first snowstorm! Their chemistry was undeniable, and I adored how their weekend fling blossomed into something so much deeper. The family feud backdrop added just the right amount of tension, and watching them navigate love, loyalty, and their dreams made for such a heartfelt journey.
Jaxon is the perfect mix of rugged cowboy and soft-hearted romantic — the kind of hero who makes you swoon and smile at the same time. And Charlotte’s strength as a single mom was so beautifully written; I found myself rooting for her success in both love and business.
This story captures everything magical about the season — second chances, forgiveness, and the hope that love can overcome even the oldest grudges. Kyra Jacobs delivers a perfect holiday escape with The Cowboy’s Christmas Truce. I couldn’t put it down and didn’t want it to end!.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book, given to me by Tule Publishing via BookFunnel. All thoughts and opinions are my own. A heartwarming story with great, realistic, likeable and relatable characters, “The Cowboy’s Christmas Truce”, by Kyra Jacobs, features a very sweet hero with an admitted childhood crush on the brave, independent heroine. I loved Jaxon, Charlotte, Hudson and the secondary characters in general. The affection and love between these people is something truly amazing to watch. There’s authenticity, determination and sheer grit in Charlotte. She is struggling with real life problems, and she’s stronger despite it. Jaxon is so smitten, protective and enamored over the heroine. What a sexy and sweet cowboy. All virility and sweetness in a package. The banter, fondness and easy friendship between them are captivating. I also loved the humor, teasing and general affection and love despite the feud between the two families. Some scenes made me laugh. A great read with memorable characters.
The Cowboy’s Christmas Truce is the second book in The Miles of Montana series by Kyra Jacobs. This is a terrific addition to the series that is set in Marietta Montana and focuses on the Miles family. This is Jaxon Miles’ story. Jax is a rodeo star who partners with his friend Rhett in roping. He has returned home for the holidays since Rhett pulled out due to family obligations. Jax accepts his neighbor’s request to take care of his house and animals while he is out of town.
Charlotte Barnes works at the post office and is raising her son Hudson alone. She has dreams of starting her own business running a tour company, taking guests out on horseback rides to see Yellowstone and other spots. It is the holiday season and she is trying to make extra money for gifts. Her neighbor hired her to watch his house and his animals while he is out of town. She is looking forward to the time alone and her parents will watch Hudson. Much to her surprise and shock, Jaxson Miles shows up to housesit as well. After they realize a storm has stranded them, neither of them are leaving. The two had been best friends in school as children until their parents learned about it and ended it. There was a feud over something that happened years earlier and the two families were sworn enemies. Jax has always crushed on Char so he was happy to reconnect. The two found they had more than just friendly feelings and that night their relationship turned steamy. The couple decided to enjoy their fling while they are snowed in but return to the way things had been before. They talked about their future plans and Char shares about hers for setting up the guided tour company.
Jaxon returns to his family’s ranch and learns that his future with the rodeo has been ended. He isn’t happy but he decides to suggest he and Char set up a joint venture and work together. He has the capital and she has the ideas and plans. Jax and Char fit in more of their sexy times while also realizing that they have strong feelings for each other. They decide to go ahead with their idea even though they realize their parents will not like it. Jax invites Char and Hudson to the ranch so she can see the resources at their disposal. They are invited to join his family for dinner and things go well. Jax and Rhett’s manager makes an appearance to talk to the men and suddenly there are potential problems for Char’s dreams. There’s lots of angst and wonder about what will happen.m
This is a terrific romance that began as childhood friends and developed into much more. Kyra has created some wonderful characters in the Miles family, their friends and neighbors and their significant others. The book is well written with lots of heartfelt moments. The inclusion of Jaxson’s dog Mollie is a sweet touch. I enjoy a Christmas romance with all the feels and this one checks all the boxes. It was enjoyable to read and I liked that the people we met in the first book were included in this story as well. This is another 5 star book by Kyra Jacobs that I’m happy to recommend.
I was fortunate to receive this ARC from Tule Publishing in exchange for my honest review.
The Cowboy’s Christmas Truce is the second title in The Miles of Montana series, this time featuring Charlotte (Char) and Jaxon (Jax), as childhood friends still in the midst of a generational feud between their families, have to face their undeniable attraction to each other while dealing with the fallout of one lie, meant to save a person’s reputation, takes on a life of its own, destroying Char’s reputation in the small, often judgemental, town of Marietta, Montana. (The Marietta that I’ve known and loved for years was never portrayed as this judgmental… but then, when one believes they know the “truth” about a situation, it’s possible. It’s a different viewpoint, neither good nor bad, just not what I’m accustomed to.)
I have to say that I’m enjoying seeing one of my favorite small fictional towns in a slightly edgier, different light through not only The Miles of Montana series but also other darker-edged series. There are many facets to any town, good and bad, so to see Marietta in a different, darker, or judgmental aspect (more than one well-known gossip’s shenanigans) is an interesting twist.
I loved The Cowboy’s Christmas Truce by Kyra Jacobs. Char and Jax meet once again, when they are both (unknown to each other) brought together to house/animal sit at a friend’s home for a weekend. For Char, it’s a weekend away, time to regroup, and just be herself. For Jax, it’s a chance to re-evaluate his place in his career and his family, and maybe hide out for a bit. It won’t take long for the bantering, teasing relationship of their youth to resurface… along with a fierce physical attraction that is acted upon, for just the weekend, no further. (Yeah, right.)
Charlotte’s dream of opening a horse guide tour company went up in smoke when the luxury resort deal fell through. (Natalie and Sam’s story) Now, she’s at loose ends, still with the dream but now on the back burner due to lack of finances. Jason’s rodeo career is about to take an unexpected dive and leave him groundless, avoiding taking over the Flying J ranch management like his family wants. When Char tells him of her dream/idea of the guided tours, something clicks, and he’ll offer a business partnership that she’ll find impossible to resist. Only trouble is… their feuding families!
I had such a good time back in this world. Char and Jax just fit well together, in spite of the feud that neither pays attention to anyway. I enjoyed watching their relationship change, become deeper. And especially loved the way Jax came to her rescue at the end. *Chef’s Kiss* If you love a well-written, emotional romance full of feuds, intrigue, misunderstandings, and a couple that belong together, then you’d love The Cowboy’s Christmas Truce by Kyra Jacobs.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the author or the author’s team via Booksprout, and I sincerely thank them for their trust. It is my choice to leave a review, giving my personal opinion about this book.*
Charlotte Barnes ("Char") arrived at Wilber Jennings' front door, letting herself inside to get warm. She was house and animal sitting for her parents' older neighbor. Her mom offered to keep her 10-year-old son Hudson until her job for Wilber was over, hoping the snowstorm would pass quickly so the roads could clear. And it was sort of a fun time for her too since she as a single mom had the weekend to herself for the first time in years! She would be making sure neither the pipes nor the collection of small animals in Wilber’s adjoining minibarn froze. Several miles beyond the edge of Wilber’s snow-covered land was the Miles family’s Flying J Ranch, a very successful cattle ranch. And for some reason, her family had been feuding with the Miles family. She had gone to school with several of the kids and they seemed perfectly fine to her. Now the snow was coming down and she was deciding what to take care of first. She saw something in the distance but couldn't figure what it was -- a bear or moose? She would feed the animals in about an hour, so decided to take a warm bath first as she settled in. Almost falling asleep in the tub, she heard a loud thump, followed by a snick and rattle noise and it came from inside! The sound of small a 4-legged critter came closer and she heard a bark as a little black and white dog walked in, followed by a male voice speaking to the dog. She grabbed a decorative rifle off the wall, not loaded but she would bluff, and she announced that the person was trespassing and must leave immediately. Jaxon Miles ("Jax") stopped immediately. He had volunteered to house-sit, but who was this? He called to his dog Molly, but she was protective of him and wouldn't back down. He headed for the bathroom and saw the barrel of a shotgun over the edge of the tub, saying he just wanted to get his dog. She recognized the familiar voice and asked Jax what he was doing here! And Jax recognized the face of his childhood crush. Fortunately bubbles hid the other parts he was trying to see.
When Char tells him how she had hoped to set up guided tours on horseback before the development company pulled out the funding, Jax offers a business partnership that would be perfect, except for the fact of their still feuding families! Will their plans work out? Or will she opt for another way of opening her business without relying on Jax who still wants her in his life?
The Miles family and the Barne's family have been feuding for generations even though they are neighbours and Jaxon and Charlotte where best friends when they were in grade school. Family disapproval tore them apart and now, twenty years later, a neighbour brings them back together with fiery results. Spicy hot. But what goes on at the cabin, stays at the cabin. Charlotte is a single mom with responsibilities and her parents would never accept any contact with a Miles. She has already felt the weight of disapproval from the whole town of Marietta after she foolishly took the blame for someone else's misdemeanor. What Jaxon discovers is that Charlotte has a dream that she is working towards. It already received a setback after the Miles family prevented a new resort from being built on land that held an endangered species, and now Jaxon's dad is thinking to doing the exact same addition to the family business. He knows he can't let that happen to Charlotte, so he formulates a plan. He's not planning to be in town forever, with the rodeo calling him, but he can stay long enough to help Charlotte achieve her dream. It was fun watching both Char and Jax working together and how that impacted on what they wanted for their future. There was a lovely grand gesture and a really nice ending. I was a little distracted, especially early in the book with the heavy use of US colloquial language but that was probably a me in Australia thing. US readers would probably have a similar reaction to Steve Irwin style of Aussie talk.

Oh, how I loved the banter in this book between sweet, sexy rodeo star Jaxon Miles and the girl he’s crushed over since they were five, Charlotte Barnes. She’s the one who was always pulling him into some kind of trouble and he was always willing but then one day both sets of parents got called to the principal’s office and these two were forbidden to speak to each other and it was because of a silly family feud that started generations back. The feud had started when the Miles family accused Charlotte’s grandfather when he was a teenager of switching ear tags on a prized steer at the Marietta summer fair. But now fate, or is it just fate, has landed them both house sitting for Wilber Jennings, supposedly a mix-up, and to make things more complicated a snowstorm has trapped them there together. And it seems Charlotte owes Jaxon a kiss and he’s hoping he’s going to finally be able to collect. There’s much more to this book, including Hudson, Charlotte’s ten year old son, Charlotte’s backstory of why the people of the town avoid her, Charlotte’s issues with her parents, the Miles family especially Grandad Eli (I absolutely loved him and his antics), and Charlotte’s big dream. Oh, I can’t forget cute little Molly, Jaxon’s adorable Shih Tzu and it wouldn’t be a cowboy book without the horses. The storyline is very interesting and again I loved the banter and how Jaxon not only loved Charlotte but Hudson too.

Starts off with a family feud and ends a friendship with Charlotte and Jaxon Miles many years ago. Jax went off to compete in the rodeo where he’s a star. Charlotte leaves home after some trouble that embarrasses her parents. Her father was very hard on her. Now she’s back as a single mother of a little boy named Hudson. Another thing for the town to whisper about behind her back. Jax is home for a while and he meets up with the only woman he has ever cared about. Charolette tells him about her vision of her business, he jumps in with both feet to help her. No one is to know until it goes public, especially because of the fued and the secret she keeps. Will everyone accept her business? Will her parents and Jax’s family be okey with it? Will they back them? She has bills and a son to take care of. Will Jax return to the rodeo to compete again? Will he leave her to handle the business alone? It’s more hers than his. They start falling for each other. Will that end the long ago feud ? Will her parents be proud? Will the town finally forget about her past? The characters are wo. I was rooting for Jax, Charolette and Hudson. They all deserve to be loved and become a family. All Charolette wants is to be respected by the townspeople and loved, be proud of by her parents. She has everything else she needs. Will she get it? Worth the read. I didn’t want to put it down. I received this book for my honest review. I give it voluntarily.
No strings attached. Yeah, right. - I greatly enjoyed this second in the Miles family of Copper Mountain saga. Jaxon and Charlotte are great together. They were the best of friends as kids, until a generations old feud was used to sever their bond. All grown up, a wily old cowboy contrived to get them back in each other's good graces. And boy did that go off like fireworks! Snowed in alone, they indulge in adult fun, away from the cynical eyes of those who would scorn them. She thinks it's a temporary joy, his return to the rodeo certain. But he's in for the long haul, determined to win the heart of the most stubborn woman in Marietta. And he won't let the sins of the past stand in his way.
This was a fun read, Jax using tickle fights to gain the upper hand with Charlotte. His Gramps is a hoot, Team Charlotte from the very beginning. Little Hudson is adorable, a great kid and so accepting of the new people in his life. The rest of Jax's family is amazing, not discouraging his connection with Charlotte, unlike hers. Closed door intimacy, sweet kisses only and an HEA that turns the whole town around. I can't wait for Norah's story.

Jaxon and Charlotte were great friends when they were younger, but her family has a problem with his, dating back to a feud many generations ago. Now she's back with a young son, working out of town as they aren't particularly friendly with her, due to an occurrence years back. The whole truth has never come out though. Jaxon had a crush on her years ago, which hasn't gone away, he's a roper in the rodeo but his partner has had to come home as his mother is unwell, now he isn't sure that he wants to carry on, but Jaxon doesn't know what he could do instead. His family ranch is able to support him if he can only find what he actually wants to do. He meets Charlotte and they have a weekend together, he thinks that it's the beginning of a relationship but she doesn't! Her father has a huge problem with the family, also she has a young son, Hudson, who must come first. Then Jaxon finds out that his father has a business idea that Charlotte is intending to do when she has enough funds to start. Things then start to change.

Kyra's skillful storytelling shines through her vivid descriptions and attention to detail, bringing both the small-town Montana setting and the characters’ relationships to life. The emotional realism of her characters makes their journey feel genuine and deeply relatable.

They were best friends since grade school despite a family feud. An unfortunate misunderstanding caused her to leave town after high school. He is a rodeo star evaluating his career. They are brought together one wintery weekend. Will what happens at the cabin end there or will it blossom into something more? Will they be able to come together to bring her dream to reality or with not only their family’s, the disapproving town and a lucrative offer for him take her dream away? This was such a powerful holiday romance. I thought I had read book one but realized I hadn’t. There was enough background included so I didn’t feel I missed anything important but I will make sure to go back and read it soon. I absolutely loved Char and Jaxson’s love story. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader copy of this book.
The Cowboys Christmas truce by Kyra Jacobs Release date October 21, 2025
This is such a sweet heartwarming story. Setting the past straight after many years of heartache. Set a long time family feud. Extreme family, drama, and extreme family love. Charlotte lived her life with a secret that she kept that had made her life hard, but she was determined to get through it for her son Hudson! Jackson Miles shows up the house at the same house that Charlotte has been asked to housesit. And that’s where this Luv story starts for the second time. This is one of my favorite tropes second chance romance! I honestly feel that Hudson was the star of the show.
If you want to read a sweet Christmas, love story that I highly recommend this one.
Thank you Tule publishing for this ARC in return for my honest review.

The Cowboy’s Christmas Truce is book 2 in the Miles of Montana series by Kyra Jacobs 4.5 stars
Single mom, Charlotte has a free weekend, has a fling with Jaxon Miles while snowed in but when it ends it turns to a business opportunity, even though their families have been feuding for years. Read on for Charlotte and Jax’s story of a judgmental small town, family feuds, long time attraction, misunderstandings and more..
I voluntarily read a copy of this book from Tule Publishing. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
The Cowboys Christmas Truce by Kyra Jacobs has family at the center of the problem. Family Feud makes for a fun game show but not so much in real life. Living in a small town, I found the storyline of the second book in The Miles of Montana Series to be realistic if high time the older members decide to let the past go so that the present can be rewritten. Charlotte Barnes and Jaxon Miles are likable winsome characters who deserve a chance at love and success. You will be rooting for these two to not just have a magical December or business together but a total life.
Charlotte and Jaxon were friends who caused trouble years ago before her family forbid her to be his friend and he ended up in the rodeo. Now he is back and she is a single mom to Hudson and her family still at odds with her. Maybe it is time to clear the air between the families and call a truce. Wonderful holiday story.

A long time family feud forced young friends Jaxon and Charlotte to part friendship. Joining together again, they find purpose and love even though her gruff, unforgiving father will not like it and belittle her unceasingly. A pleasing story of a second chance at friendship and bigger chance at love. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Jax and Charlotte were friends until her parents kept them apart. Years later he's back looking at a new career after rodeo and she's a single Mom dreaming of her own business if Jax's father doesn't take her idea first and the town doesn't run her off after what happened when she was a teen. Her son Hudson was enthusiastic and won everyone over. But can Charlotte get past her insecurities to let Jax in? This was a steamy friends to lovers romance.
Child hood friends whose friendship was cut short because of a family feud. Now years later then meet up again. They rekindle there friendship and sparks fly. The question is will they be able to mend past mistakes and make a future together. I loved this book. It was a heartwarming and entertaining read. Highly recommend. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Unknowingly Charlotte and Jaxon have been asked to housesit for the same weekend. They were attracted to each other in grade school and this comes about again during the weekend. Then it is back to real life except that real life has other plans encouraging them to work together. This town is a fun character in the book and all the characters are well written. Great book!.

Jaxon and Charlotte's story is beautiful. They find they are together during the holidays and they are making the best of it, in spite of their families' feud. A sweet romance between childhood friends. While the story takes place during the holiday time of year the mentions are minimal. A young boy adds fun to the tale. Interesting career challenges.
