Un’attrazione palpabile. Testi bollenti.

Viper is book two in the Fallen Angel series by Brooke Blaine and Ella Frank! Holy Wow! Where the first book in this series was a little slower burn as these two authors established the connection between Viper and Halo, this second book is flippin on fire. I’ve become obsessed with these two.

Halo, Viper and their other three band mates are off to Miami for a few months to record their new album. It’s also a time for them to bond as a band. They are living in a huge mansion living a life Halo never imagined. And that bonding, well, most of it was happening between he and Viper. The chemistry between these two has built into a crescendo that won’t be ignored. Viper knows he should leave Halo alone, or rather Angel as he calls him. But he just can’t.

Viper doesn’t do relationships, he doesn’t do feelings. But he just can’t seem to walk away from his Angel. The pull never seems to dim. They agree that this is just a mutual temporary thing between them, but Viper finds himself feeling things he doesn’t want to feel. Halo is just the opposite, he is a relationship guy. But, he knows the score. He knows this isn’t going to be a forever thing. So he decides to try to live in the now and just enjoy the time he’s been given with this man he is falling for, the first man he’s ever had feelings for.

When they returned to New York after the album was finished, it was time to return to real life. The entire time they were in Miami, it was kind of their own little bubble. But now, everything is different. Halo’s entire life is about to change when the new album releases.

Talk about scorching! These two burn up the pages in this book. I loved watching Viper fight the feelings he was developing but wish he had been more willing to recognize and accept them. Halo is so good for him. He challenges him, he pushes him, he makes him smile. But in the end, Viper is going to have to accept that this is more, that what they have is more, or he’s going to have to let Halo go.

This series has to be read in order. The first three books are the continuing relationship between Viper and Halo. I loved how the guys in the band give Halo every ounce of respect that he is due for what he brought to their band. But I also love the way Halo doesn’t accept the praise but gives it back to the band as a whole. These five men are clearly meant to be together. Halo was always meant to be a part of them. But, are Halo and Viper also meant to be? I can’t wait to read the next book, book three, Angel, as the band skyrockets to fame, and to see if Viper and Halo are able to survive it.

Read #6

Still can't get enough of Halo and Viper.

I absolutely love their chemistry throughout this series, and I also love how they just don't see anyone else when they're together, like the rest of the world disappears entirely.

The way Viper is so gone over Halo pretty much as soon as they meet and doesn't even realise...😍 Love how he reacts 'the morning after' in Miami, but I did hate him a little for hurting sweet Halo because he didn't know what to do with the way he felt! So glad he finally pulls his head out of his arse 😂

They are permanent residents in my favourite book couples list and I can't see that changing.

I just love Halo and Viper 🥰

This is the second book in the "Fallen Angel" series and just to be clear...it cannot be read as a stand-alone. Before jumping into this one, you will need to read Halo, which I myself absolutely loved.

Those of you who have already read the first book, know that Halo and Viper just can't seem to stay away from each other. Instead of getting bored with each other, the sparks between the two of them seem to be multiplying. They spend more and more time together...especially between the sheets 5d0ea20d51184ba1bb6249faf6f342ba

gay love gif - Google zoeken

The band is also getting closer and growing bigger...things seem to be really looking up...in more ways than one 9f01372377900d9203bc4efe48eb1659

I think Viper especially had a bit of a grow spurt...emotionally. While this book is still in double pov, it felt like we got a bit more insight on Viper's feelings. He can at least admit to himself that he's falling faster and deeper for "the Angel".

Im falling for you gif - Google zoeken

The question is...will he be able to admit his feelings to Halo himself...  He wants to be nonchalant about it...but Halo is quite a force to be reckoned with.

I really enjoyed this second book, but after another cliffy (grrrr), I can't wait for the next book "Angel" to get here !!! Thankfully the wait should not be too long. I also fell a bit deeper in love with all the other band members and I can only hope, they will someday get their own stories...especially Killian 7e6c22cc4c29adb0f4a619d0806b71f1

I highly recommend this series !!

This second story was more like an “ok read” than an “I like it”, therefore, I’m knocking this down a star. It was weak, everything too easy, lots of sex which I’m not complaining BUT... it ended up being boring. Bottom line is that there is not enough meat for 3 books.
I really liked book 1 though.

Well, that didn’t go quite as well as I’d hoped. Still well-written and steamy, this sequel was perhaps not as engaging as I would have liked.

As Fallen Angel settle into their company paid Miami mansion, to record their first album as a revitalised and rebranded band, things between guitarist Viper and new lead singer Halo begin to heat up to incendiary levels of mutual lust, want and need.

This sequel basically follows Viper and Halo through the first few months of their new “relationship” — or uncomplicated, but monogamous screwing around, as Viper so regularly tries to downplay it — as the group write and record their epic new album, while building a camaraderie that will settle the band into a well-functioning unit and hopefully a major success story for years to come.

Not much happens here other than Viper and Halo having sex between writing music with the band. Towards the end, they head home and have to work out how and if what they shared in Miami is something they are willing to fight for or cease completely, which leads to inevitable relationship conflict between the two, who have very different views and experiences on love and relationships.

But rest assured, these two get their HFN in the most lovely way when all is said and done, insuring I’ll be back to see how they reach their HEA in their third story (Angel).

As I mentioned, this wasn’t quite what I wanted it to be and I daresay a lot of that rests with the fact that I didn’t like Viper all that much. He was just, well, he was an asshole a lot of the time, if I’m being honest, and for some reason it never came across as understandable or alluring like that MC behaviour sometimes is in romance reads. I did adore Halo though, so lots of points go to him for putting up with Viper the grump. I haven’t given up on Viper yet though, as I feel he may surprise me in the most wonderful ways as I head into their final story.

Reread #183984 and still 5 stars.

Halo had me so wound up that I wanted to steal him away so he only looked at me, talked to me, thought about me, and the idea of having even a couple hours more with him alone this morning made me happier than a kid at a damn candy store.

“That wasn’t a date. We’re fucking, not dating,” I told him, as I also grabbed a bottle of whiskey.
“You’re an idiot.” Killian let out a loud bark of laughter. “No, you are, V. Oh my God. You are so fucking stupid, my friend.”

Killian, you couldn’t be more right 😩

Book one set the stage for their slow burn friends with benefits to lovers situation, so while this book still has that the romance is full on in this one compared to the first one. I mean every time I re read book one I still think Viper is already whipped but then you read this, and he is whipped beyond repair. This book passes right into the idiots in love territory. Especially Viper. I love when they basically act like a couple but don’t want to realize/acknowledge it and well…it all eventually comes to a head. Viper is one of my favorite character arcs to read about. There is nothing better than seeing the playboy badboy become absolutely down bad for his love interest and to me these books do it perfectly.

So, while the romance is top tier, there is also more band stuff. The boys take a trip for a couple months to focus on making their new album, they do interviews and photoshoots (that scene kills me every time), and reading the band dynamics is also one of my favorite things about this series. The banter had me rolling, for example:

“Why do you fuckers even care?”
Jagger’s mouth fell open. “Umm, because you have never—in all the years the band has been together—dated, repeated, or sat moon-eyed over anyone. This is…it’s…”
“Unprecedented.” Slade shot a look at me.
“Do you even know what that means?” I asked. Killian pushed his leg against mine.
“Don’t try and change the subject.”

They tease the fuck out of Viper and it’s hilarious. If I wasn’t going wild over Halo and Viper, I was laughing my ass off at Jagger, Killian, and Slade. Their little found family is to die for.

The way Viper and Halo talk about each other is swoon worthy. Viper takes every opportunity to talk about how beautiful and talented he thinks Halo is. Halo is brand new to this industry and he’s all of a sudden the frontman of the most popular rock band. So, Viper makes sure Halo knows his worth. And Viper will tell anyone off if they say something differently and the consequences don’t even matter to him. They could not get enough of each other and every time I reread my eyes are glued to the pages like I'm reading it for the first time. Don't even get me started on the sex scenes 🥵✋

“I don’t want a million guys. I want the one who’s already here.”

This is the second book in the Fallen Angel series. Starting right after the first book Halo ended, this book had a little angst. I was super curious about Viper's attitude towards Halo, if he'll be man enough to admit he wants more.

More thoughts soon.

Chapter two of the Halo and Viper journey focuses on the development of the ever growing feelings between the two men.

For Halo, things couldn't be better, but Viper's past means he's not so easily swayed by the emotional impact spending time with the band's new frontman is bringing.

At times I forget there's a ten year age gap between them as Halo always seems way more mature than his 23 years and Viper does his best impression of a mardy teenager frequently.

His grumpy attitude does come with valid reasons though and I liked that Brooke and Ella brought more depth to his character than just the bad boy persona.

Halo's not willing to just be shoved aside though and there's words said, and actions taken, that I was really hoping wouldn't lead me to chuck my Kindle across the room.

Fortunately it's just a stumble on their path towards happiness and I was very pleased with where things ended up.

Only a month to go before the final book is out and we get to see just how they're going to deal with all the pressures of the relationship and the band's success.

As an aside, yes the narrative is as hot as the cover model just in case you were wondering ;)

4 stars.

I've always been a huge fan of the duo, weather they write as a duo or not. This is the second book in the Fallen Angel series and I'm enjoying it quite a lot. The chemistry is all there and I like their band members as well.

There's not that much that happens in this book which did tend to make me want to skim a little. The ending ends is a HFN so I'm scared yet excited on how they plan to write the final book for the series.

I'm really struggling with rating this. 3 stars is an okay read for me. And this was okay but at the same time not okay enough.
It didn't feel like a fulllengh novel to me. I feels like the authors are just spreading the words into 3 installments. Nothing really happens here other than Viper being an upper asshole. A bit boring too.

So I'm rounding it down to 2.5 stars. Not that it was bad but just because it was not okay enough..

Viper is the second installment of the Fallen Angel series and brings us back to Halo and Viper. After their sexual tension ripped through the previous book I was excited to get more of them as a couple. I really enjoyed getting to see more of the romance between them now that they had both kind of given in to the fact that they wanted each other. It added a lot of sweetness to their relationship, which I thought was amazing.

I will say that, though, that I found this part of their story to be pretty slow. There wasn't a ton going on in their lives besides their music blowing up so there was a good part of the middle where I was getting a little bored. They lost that tension they had in the first book since they were finally together, even when they were saying it was nothing more than hooking up, and there wasn't anything else that was grabbing my attention for part of the story.

Overall, I still enjoyed getting more of Viper and Halo together and I am really curious to see how their story will end.

REVIEW: 5 Scorching Stars
"Oh, I plan to kiss you, Angel. I'm gonna kiss every single inch of you."

I try really hard not to start a review off about how HOT a book was, but when that is a glaring reality behind Viper's style and demeanor, I don't think I can honestly help it and not do a disservice to his personality. Holy hell. Wow. This book was most definitely hot. And sexy. And naughty. And delicious. Oh my gosh, just....*shivers*. I know, I sound ridiculous but I can't help it. I'm shaking my head at myself and laughing, I promise you that much. Crazy, I know. But Ella and Brooke, I'm gonna need you to keep this writing gig up.

This second book in Ella and Brooke's Fallen Angel Trilogy was nothing short of sexy and fun, but it also allowed a deeper growth that I did not truly anticipate. Detailing a love with so many obstacles and yet, the need outweighed the want in this one. The desire outdid the lust. I am smiling like a love sick fool, and it brought out all the heart eyes from me. I cannot fathom not highly recommending this series to anyone and everyone that is willing to listen to my babbling. It's books like this that make me giddy to write a review and excited to share a copy with someone. They make me so excited that I can't calm down enough to get my thoughts out. Definitely favorites list material right here. My little heart is so full. sigh

I can try and pretend to come up with some really cool words to define the love that I have for this story, or these authors, or the characters...but it'll come off as me trying way too hard. Seriously, way too hard. But consider this review as me trying to type out my smile, even though I'm pretty sure I'm failing. I do know that Ella and Brooke's writing is brilliant. I am completely smitten with not only them, but their characters. I love love love what this one did to me. The teasing and meaningful writing they infused into this story read effortlessly. As awkward as it may sound, I didn't know that you could write a well known Rock Star GOD falling in love like this - and make it believable. I loved not only the love story, because that's first and foremost the reason I am here...but the whole navigating unchartered waters through not only Halo's eyes, but Viper's as well. And that is where the story was for me. It was reality crashing with fantasy, and I think they captured that part exceptionally well.

"I didn't need alcohol, because without him, I didn't want to feel a fucking thing."

This story involved a slow, painstakingly guttural ache to see an almost impossible reality shake out. But the pain, the urge, the need to see Viper and Halo figure out this so-called relationship consumed my every waking thoughts immediately upon starting this series, but this book amplified that need. I know I have to make it through another book to get the rest of their story, but I can honestly say VIPER is on my favorites list for 2019 already. So so good. And so hot, in case you missed that.

By the way, the cover on this book cannot be any more perfect. When I envisioned VIPER in HALO, I just knew he was going to be a cocky, confident sonofabitch, but they nailed the broody aspect of him in this picture rather perfectly. It coincided perfectly with the heady, dark and dirty side of him and really accentuated the feel of the book. The naughty side. The dirty side. The hot side. However, after reading this one, though, I think VIPER is synonymous with asshole. Talk about heart palpitations and anxiety pangs. Geez. He made me want to throw things!!! And, of course, watching Ella and Brooke share all their "inspiration" for the other guys in their group just made me itch for more stories out of this band. In all honesty, it's ridiculous how in love I am with these guys. Absolutely, hands down ridiculous. And now I'm hungover and I don't know what to do. But I do know I will never stop asking for more....

"'This is where you belong', he said in a voice that stroked my cock as effectively as I knew his hand could."

4,5 'Fallen Angel' stars

Oh, how the angel had fallen.

Angel had fallen indeed. Halo is definitely not so innocent and pure as he was before. Viper had thoroughly corrupted him. And how I loved this new dynamic between them. It was a pleasure to see Viper being surprised by Halo's actions and for Halo to push Viper's buttons. Also, discovering Viper's secretly sweet and cuddly side was pure gold.

“I knew it,” I said, grinning. “You’re a secret cuddler, aren’t you?”

I can't say that much had happened in this book. There was progress in their relationship but otherwise, the story hasn't moved a lot. However, I was never bored or annoyed by the slow pace. There were a lot of funny scenes and I enjoyed their conversations immensely. And, of course, there was a large number of sexy times. One particular scene of photo shooting will be forever imprinted in my memory. What I would give to see these pictures. Pretty please with a cherry on top!

description

Viper wanted me. He cared deeply about me. I knew it. He knew it. But the stubborn motherfucker would rather die than say it out loud.

I could have done without that much angst in the second half and that cheesiness at the end was a little out of the blue. But overall I had a very entertaining time reading this book and I'm looking forward to seeing how they will deal with their relationship on tour.

“Good angel,” he said to Halo, before turning to me and saying, “Bad angel.”

SO. DAMN. GOOD!!!

While the last book started out with Viper and Halo (I wrote out Angel first haha. Even I'm getting used to thinking of him as that instead of Halo) getting together, this book takes place over about 4 months, getting them from "casual" to love. I knew it was coming but I was curious to how these lovely authors were going to do it.

They did an amazing job of it. These two have AMAZING heat together, amazing chemistry. I couldn't get enough of them, just like they couldn't get enough of each other. But these authors made sure to include romantic parts between these two. It wasn't just sex as we clearly saw - which was the whole problem for Viper, who was scared shitless of it - and I loved every sexy, passionate moments between these two as well as the conversations, the little things that made it more of a relationship than casual, and the way these two make each other so happy.

Viper almost fucks it up at the end, but thankfully he gets his head out of his ass. And before he does that is one of the hottest, most intense scenes. I absolutely loved it even as I wanted to shake Viper for being an idiot. I loved that Halo didn't take his shit and was telling him how it is, but Viper was just being a stubborn, scared asshole.

When characters - and people, lbr - do this in real life it makes me want to smack them upside the head. Things are going amazingly, nothing is wrong, but they get scared and ruin it themselves, causing the very pain and heartbreak they were scared of happening. Like?? Bitch?? Where is the logic?? I would understand it more if things were bad and they got scared at the first sign of crisis and tried to end it before it got worse. It would still be stupid, but at least a little more understandable, because at least when things are going bad...you don't know if you can get passed it.

But Viper and Halo were doing wonderful! Amazing, couldn't get enough of each other. And Viper was just like "nope this is too much, gotta end it now before things went to shit. Halo will see it's a good thing" and it's like??? No bitch. Because he didn't avoid heartbreak, he just made it happen sooner. Idiot.

But! Thankfully Viper gets his head out of his soon pretty damn quick, and that last scene of this was awesome. I do want Halo to make Viper grovel a little bit in the next book, though. Halo deserves a bit of groveling from Viper.

Despite Viper's stupidity though, this was an amazing second installment, and I couldn't put it down except for sleep. These two are just amazing together. Their heat and passion and love for each other reminds me of Tate and Logan a lil' bit - even though their story and and personalities and everything are completely different, still...- and it makes me happy because I love their connection. I love when romance books can do a relationship this well.

Love can have hot, scorching sex as well as the epic romance. Gimme both and I am a happy camper. These books are pulling that off amazingly, in my opinion. Can't wait for the last installment, where hopefully they face any obstacles that come their way head on, and more importantly, together.

Definitely recommend this, two big thumbs up from me!

I'm even more in love with these two, if that's possible...
They are so damn beautiful and sinful.

In this one, we go to Miami, enjoy the sun, the music, the dates, the incredible schorging sex, huge amounts of whisky and vodka... And feelings that creep in and are not simple to deal with.

Expect some angst in the ending, but nothing that some HARD PDA would cure***

Continuing the Angel and Viper saga.

During the day Fallen Angel the new group spend their days working on the new album in the studio in the luxury mansion in Miami.

During the nights Viper and Angel spend sexy long nights together exploring each others bodies, Viper giving Angel a lot of firsts.

Are these two just f*cking or will pesky feelings get in the way?

Lets see what will happen next for Fallen Angel after the BIG declaration.

Oh boy, did I enjoy this read? Immensely! The bubble with Viper and Halo in the center was extremely hot, these two men are scorching... flammable together!!

The continuation of Viper and Halo in the Fallen Angel series was excellent.

Viper wakes up in a empty bed and oh boy it frustrates the hell out of him. His mood goes below zero. Guess who will have a hard time?

The rock band Fallen Angel is doing so well there will be another record and even a tour.
All members are thrilled and they know it's all because of Halo. Meanwhile Halo and Viper are spending most nights together. Besides their carnal needs, just under the surface are feelings, denied feelings.
But, oh well, they enjoy each other, no dating no strings just joy. Especially Viper. He wants it to be a temporary thing, never anything more. Halo takes what he can get and is easy-going about it.
While Halo is surprised and elated by little affectionate gestures, Viper is oblivious about what he is doing. Until he is not!!

I couldn’t take my eyes of the pages. It was so explosive and intense. The possessive claiming, not with words but with unbelievable sensual actions, was delicious to watch. They touched each other with as much passion as they touched their instruments. Try to visualize that.

This read was so vibrantly written! It was enchanting watching two opposites, with so many passionate fireworks, going on around each other. A potent and forcefully written story with a fabulous plot. The whole story was captivating, entertaining, and enthralling. Not one page was uneventful. A lot of feelings are exposed, a lot of tension, sensuality, passion, hurt , and love.
It was a delicious and emotional read.
I’m looking forward to the next installment. Is it April already?

At this point I have read 15 or so books by Ella Frank but this is my first book from Brooke Blaine, (other than Jingle Bell Rock their holiday novella) and I am always surprised at how good the stories are!!! This year I am going to devour every single book by Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine that I can get my hands on!!

Halo book one in the Fallen Angels series was such a good introduction to Viper and Halo but with this book we really got to see their connection go from fun to much more. It is almost impossible not to love Halo, but this is the book that made me fall in love with Viper. We got so much more of his story as well as how sweet he could be when he wasn't trying to keep his feelings at bay. Towards the end of the book when we see Viper lose his control on what is happening with him and Halo it seriously broke my heart. The things he said would have broken anyone's heart but the way that Frank and Blaine were able to write that delivery was so incredible. My heart broke for both Halo and Viper, but we did eventually get some good news out all that turmoil. Now I am off to read Angel because I must know what is going to happen with their HEA and if Viper and Halo can make it through the drama that I am sure is to come after the ending of this book.

Book #2 starts right where we left our two darlings in HALO.

They just spent the night together and Viper was pretty happy with how things went. He's not finished with his angel. BUT - the next morning ... Halo is gone.

But of course he's not gone gone - he just thought that Viper wasn't one for cuddling and awkward mornings after - so he went back to his own room!

That was what happened in the first couple of chapters - and that's all I'm telling you - I don't want to spoil anything. BUT since this is a trilogy - we know that we probably won't yet get our happily ever after! But we'll love watching Viper and Halo fight for it! And don't worry - it's not a huge-ass horror cliffy. It's a pretty great cliffy really. ♥

I really enjoyed this book. It wasn't all that mega exciting. Nothing much happens, it's just Halo and Viper falling for each other and some fun band stuff and some fighting/arguing - but no real über-excitement. I was expecting some more paparazzi or fans or scandal or ... anything really. But nothing happened - WHICH WAS NOT BAD. I loved the book - I love all the guys so much. It was a sweet rock star romance. More November Rain than Welcome To The Jungle if you know what I mean.☺
I really enjoyed reading it. I'm hoping for a tiny bit more in the third book!

I can't wait to read ANGEL!☺

There was absolutely no need for this book to exist, like nothing happens, they go to Miami, they fuck (A LOT), they record songs (?) even though we don’t see it and then we get the unexpected but not really 3rd act breakup with a shitty grovelling ending.

The anticipation for this book almost killed me and I only had to wait a few weeks! 😳😂

This might just be my favourite cover of all time!
It oozes sex and fits Viper to a tee *drools*

But seriously, it’s been a long time since I have loved a M/M series this much, especially one that focuses so intensely on the romance! Usually I find, if there isn’t a big juicy storyline to go with it, I get a bit bored, or it can fall flat. But here? They are ALL I want to hear about. Haha.
Halo and Viper are certainly the main event and I freaking devoured it.
The storyline of the band is fantastic and the guys are all amazing.

Seeing Viper, who has been a ‘one-nighter’ guy for so long, fall so so hard for Halo melted my heart. He knows what’s happening and is terrified that it’ll all blow up in their faces. He’s scared he’ll screw it all up and ruin the new success the band is having... but the thought of losing Halo now? That scares him even more.

I adore Halo. He’s so talented and sweet and sexy. I was so proud of him for standing up to Viper. For not letting him walk all over him. I cannot wait to see him flourish as the bands front man.

I am so damn hooked I can’t even see straight!

“I should’ve known better. If anyone could get a straight guy to fuck him, it’d be you.”
I shrugged. “Who said I was the one getting fucked?” Killian’s feet came to a stop, his mouth falling open...’ 😂

***

“...the lyrics will still be sexy. And trust me, once you see him on a stage singing them, you’re gonna see his halo fall right off his head.”

***

“I don’t want a million guys. I want the one who’s already here.”

***

‘Oh, how the angel had fallen. That was when I knew it wouldn’t matter if we were in Miami, New York, or the North fucking Pole. If Halo was there, then I was going to want to be there with him, and I had no idea what to do with that.’

***

“I’d rather be touchy than a fucking coward.” I reared back, the blow a low one, and as the impact of it slammed into me, I gritted my teeth and let my frustration at the situation rise to the surface.’

The sexual chemistry and steamy scenes are to die for! The angst, the drama, the laugh out loud moments... argh, it’s everything!

**Reviewers note: Viper is the 2nd book in The Fallen Angel series and cannot be read as a standalone book. While this book has a HFN ending, it is not the end of this story. Some have called it a cliffhanger, but IMHO it is not because if I never read the upcoming 3rd book, I would be totally happy with the way this one ended. That being said, reading Viper without reading Halo you will be all kinds of lost.

The Fallen Angel series from authors Brooke Blaine and Ella Frank continues with Viper as these two men begin to explore the lust and longing between them while one insisting it can be nothing more and one falling fast. I loved the emotional turmoil in this book, I wanted to slap Viper upside the head a couple of time, I wanted to tell Halo to stay strong, and more than that I wanted Viper to realize that it is okay to give and receive love. While Viper is still told from both points of view, this book gives us a better look into the man behind the Viper image and susses out the reasons he is the man he is today. Emotional, edgy, and all kinds of sexy Viper was an outstanding part of this series.

Life is coming fast and furious for the new formed band Fallen Angel and as they live in Miami and work on recording their first album together. After their song was “leaked” to the press, the record label is hot to get an album out quickly and with Halo’s ability to write music and lyrics not to mention being the inspiration for Viper to get some words on paper, things are heating up both for the band and with Viper and Halo.

I had to laugh when Viper pretty much threw a hissy fit when he woke up after his first night with Halo to find him gone and spent the rest of the day being a miserable, rotten human being to the rest of the band. What really kind of ticked me off about that it was Halo’s first time with a man and Viper made it all about him , whereas Halo was trying to play by Viper’s rules and let it just be a hook-up and nothing more. Bless Killian for seeing through Viper’s sh*t mood and calling him on it which he does a lot in this book, IMHO Killian is awesome and I’m hoping good things are in store for him.

There was no doubt about it this book was a f*ckfest of epic proportion between Viper and Halo and don’t get me wrong those scenes were smokin’ hot, but I could see Halo developing feelings and Viper trying to shove his down to the very tips of his toes and I knew it was all going to come to a head. I was happy that once the band realized Viper and Halo were together, they were pretty supportive in the way that dudes who give each other sh*t can be supportive. And I’ll admit a big weight was lifted off my chest when Halo’s sister Imogene accepted his admission of being with Viper.

Yes, things came to a head between these two almost at the end and yes, the result was pretty devastating to my heart and made my head hurt, but a big grand gesture what I’m sure happened because someone isn’t one to think before he speaks ended this book on a really high note and I for one am excited and I’ll admit a bit scared to see what the fallout will be.

Viper rocked my emotions, but left me feeling satisfied and I am anxiously waiting to get my hands on Angel, the final book in this series.

4 SAY SOMETHING CROWNS

I LOVE THESE TWO. Viper and Halo just have the connection, one that is very reminiscent of one of my favorite couples from the Locked series. There is just something about them that makes me saw awwww and heats me up.

That being said. The plots have been slow. Book one was the lead up to them together, and book two was more of them working through how they feel. There are moments of true intimacy between them in book two, along with much more steamy goodness. I do not, however, have a real sense of where the conflict is going to come from. I mean there is the obvious one, but I just think and hope the Brooke and Ella won’t take the obvious route.

The writing, as always is good. I love the characters. They are some of my favorites. I just ultimately feel like I need more from their story.

High on steam and relationship angst. I did like this but I wanted more story in there too. Something was missing for me and Im hoping book 3 gives a bit more. I would have loved if book 1 was in Halo’s POV and Book 2 in Vipers I think this would have given more mystery to the relationship not knowing what the other was thinking all the time. Or maybe just not stretched it over 3 books. Everything worked out so easily and predictably, I would have loved some actual secret rockstar storyline instead of another scorching sex scene.

And come on, these guys are multi billionaire super famous rock gods, what’s Viper’s mum doing living in a semi-detached rundown house with cracked pavers and how are they catching the train around alone with absolutely no concerns for security, paparazzi or fans??
