With former Chancellor Conroy’s existence out in the open, the machinations of current Chancellor Rostov are escalating and threatening anybody who might stand in the way of his holding on to power. And you can rest assured that with Marcus Santano, head of the Noche Syndicate, teaming up with him for his own nefarious reasons, hurting or killing innocents is perfectly acceptable. But can such an evil alliance sustain itself?
In the meantime, Evan and Anya, with the invaluable help of the AI Sam, have been seeking to find out the fate of the Korani so long ago, and prevent the looming catastrophe that seems destined for the Commonwealth’s home planet of Terrax. With their ragtag group of pirates, smugglers, and mercenaries, and former Syndicate family member Roman, who have no love of the Syndicate or Rostov, will their common goal be enough to restore power to Conroy, the rightful chancellor, and keep the Commonwealth from self-destruction?
The Last Stand ties up many long-standing conflicts in this intricately layered story, leaving the way to exploring the fate of the ancient Korani and its amazing tech. It is a welcome addition to the Starship of the Ancients series by award-winning and bestselling author A. K. DuBoff.

There is a lot happening in this new adventure, but I truly did not expect some of the storylines that had been building over the previous books to get resolved - just like that?
That doesn’t mean that Evan and Anya’s adventure is over- far from it! Next, please?

Anya and Evan faces in Last Stand, by author AK Duboff, the one enemy they knew who could actually wreck the Commonwealth...Rostov!
In this respect the title of this book already tells you what the contents will be.
oh boy! And does it do exactly that with Sam of the Asamar providing his guidance to Evan with rising knowledge and command of essential Korani nanites.
But the secrecy of the Syndicate under the leadership of Rostov and plans to gain similar command over nanites, does not forecast any easy going for Evan and Anya.
Frantic page turning is a certainty for readers.
Enjoy
