3.5 stars - again, I wish Goodreads would allow 1/2 star ratings. This is not quite a 4.

If you like trivia, you'll like this book. Lots of interesting tidbits in list form for a quick read and easy stopping places (I read at night before bed and like that I'm not tempted to read until dawn; also extends the pleasure of reading the trivia over a few days).

My problem with books such as these is usually the typos and formatting issues. I forgive a couple of typos here and there, but once it becomes repetitive, it effects my rating of the book. The one that really stood out was 'sherpa's'. The author obviously meant the plural of 'sherpa' but kept making it possessive. I kept wondering what the sherpa was taking ownership of. (There's a whole list on Mount Everest.)

Secondly was the supposed links. Throughout the book, it would say 'click here' to read more or to get more information, but there were no links. One broken link I'll understand, but there was no html at all. No underlining or way to 'click' on anything. You'd think if you're going to put out an ebook with links, you'd actually PUT THE LINKS IN.

So, overall, decent trivia but as a book editor myself, thet typos were tiring.
