The many changes the Cubi people have seen since their King rose to battle a hidden war are not over. The newly risen King must go abroad to assist Nol-Elakdon in his Kingdom of the North as the changes have reached other Kingdoms.
That leaves Aaron without his childhood friend and the support system he needs as he settles with the new knowledge of himself as a Halfling to rise an Incubus. Aaron doesn’t do well with being abandoned. To secure him, the King makes sure that Aaron’s Incubus father rotates home to get to know his son. Lord Matadon has finally learned of the child he’d been sent into the human world to father, yet he knows it’ll be a challenge for them both to establish a father/son relationship. He quickly learns that they share a common passion, which can hopefully bind them closer together.
That shared passion and fragile relationship is put to the test when the Grand Council deems Aaron and Matadon the two most likely to succeed in a mission where they’re to assist trained hunters and Guards in tracking down missing Halflings in the human world.
(To find out what Daniel is helping Nol-Elakdon with, read the Vargr series, starting with Slumbering Ember.)
Meraki P. Lyhne, real name Martin, is a Danish author spanning multiple genres and pseudonyms. Meraki P. Lyhne mainly writes contemporary paranormal LGBT fiction with various degrees of romantic heat, some with a HEA, some with a HFN, and some with white-knuckling cliffhangers. Mostly, he writes long series with focus on worldbuilding, action, and something epic.
To make sure no one is ever confused about what kind of book they're about to pick up, the surname will guide you. Lyhne writes gay fiction (with various degrees of heat). If the surname is mirrored on the cover, it is het-fiction (with various degrees of heat). If both are on the cover (like the logo), it is bi-fiction (with various degrees of heat).
Information is best found on his website.
Other than that, he’s a single dad to a teenage boy, the happy companion to a Rottweiler, and he lives in a very small village next to nowhere.
Finally! After I found the Cubi where I met Aaron as a character for the first time, I dreamed about the new series that will feature him as a main, focal point for another side of already massive and very intricate world building. The World of Vidundr is truly a magical place where you can meet incredibly diverse characters - there is spice and heat level for everyone, faster or slower pace. It depends on which series you are reading - Cubi, Vargr or this brand new one. But one thing that unites all of them is the mastermind behind the creation of all the stories, set in Vidundr. Meraki P.Lyhne never disappoints in delivering the perfect blend of intriguing, intense, heartfelt moments when writing! Solo Dancer is settled squarely into the circle of joy and beauty of bisexual representation. That's right! The key here is Bisexuality. Because it's a natural part of who the Cubi are. Aaron faces the tough challenge to adapt, thrive and find his place in this unknown world and embrace a culture so far away from the human ways of his upbringing. Finding his Cu'boka and his sense of belonging are actually the heart and soul of the story. Please, keep in mind that the story will make little to no sense if you haven't read the Cubi series.
