Sinful Seduction

Rate this book
Minka Mayet is the youngest—and arguably best—medical examiner Copeland City has ever known, so when a young couple are gunned down in the street during a brutal summer heatwave, and a rookie cop is left with blood on his hands, Minka’s sharp instincts are called upon by the homicide division as they race the clock and attempt to solve their case before someone else ends up dead.

As the temperature climbs, so do tempers.
Bullets fly.
Secrets boil over.
Friends fall.
Meanwhile, Aubree’s wedding is just a week away—complete with dress fittings, spa days, and girl-time Minka would rather fake her own death than attend.

Cato fearlessly tests boundaries, flirting with the control Minka has on her temper.
Fletch lost all sense of ‘chill’ days ago.
Soph is determined to figure out who’s hunting her—joke’s on her!—and Archer? He just wants time alone with his wife.

He’ll do anything to get it.
Anything.
Even if it means manipulating her into thinking his ideas were hers all along.

Join Minka, Archer, Aubree, Fletch and the rest of the gang in their hunt for a killer.
Can they solve their case before it's time for Aubree's vows?

I love these people!

I loved getting more of the inner Cato. But I NEED more Fifi and Fletch…like really bad!!! And I may need everyone back in NYC to witness entire 24 hour periods with Debbie, Felix and Little Debbie!

This series has me hooked! Every new book, I'm completely obsessed with wanting more of Minnnnka, Archer, Cato, Fletch, Aubree... all of them!! Picking up where a road trip left us (IYKYK) rolling with the antics, it's a certain someone's upcoming wedding, and a record-high heat wave! Tempers flare, the bodies pile up, and a new mystery unfolds when a young couple are found, with only one clinging for their life!
All the faces we love make appearances, as they navigate a set of circumstances that make an ordinary dress-fitting anything but. I was in absolute page-turning reader bliss! Never one to leave us without swoon-worthy moments, Emilia Finn has that in spades. Couple that with a Cato and Minnnka moment that will have you deep sighing through the tears of laughter, and Sinful Seduction is a masterpiece you'll struggle to put down! Brilliant!!

Could not put this one down!

As always, another great book by Emilia Finn!
Can’t believe I’m 18 books into the Mayet Series! And I can’t believe Emilia originally started this series as 1 book only. To have followed Minka and Archers story this far has been incredible. Seeing them grow together and meeting all the rest of the family. God I love Cato! And Fletch and Mia!

I’m a crime junkie and this series reminds me so much some of my favorite tv shows like The Closer and Major Crimes! Watching the team catch a case and work it through the whole book!

I did shed a few tears in this book. Two words “ Mrs. Bearcroft”

Thank you Emilia for continuing this series! Can’t wait to dive into Sinful Vowels!

I don't think there's been a Mayet Justice book yet that Emilia Finn hasn't knocked out of the park, and now that includes Sinful Seduction. There's a heatwave in Copeland City, and that's always a problem for our esteemed M.E. and beloved detectives. Add to that Aubree and Tim getting married (again) and moving to their mansion/not a mansion on the hill, plus Minka has realized that Cato might actually have... (gasp) FEELINGS! There's all kinds of big feels, humor, and big, big Malone love. As always, I can't wait for more from Copeland City.

A fantastic series

This was another fantastic story, and a great addition to the series. There were a few heartbreaking situations, stressful times due to the enormous heat, more stress caused by the new case, and even more stress (for Minka at least) because of the upcoming wedding. In other words, it was a mess. Lol! With the hilarious banter, crazy antics, and the daily promises of death for certain people (LOL!!), it's certainly going to be an interesting week for the Malone family. I can't wait for the next release!
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.

I love Emilia Finn and the entire world she's created. I really enjoy the cross overs between series; she an author that makes you feel like you can jump right into the world. The characters are rich with personality, and the communal vibe is strong throughout. This book was just ok for me. Minka is becoming a little less lovable for me and the series is starting to stale. I still enjoy the banter and the drama, but I think I'm glad this one's coming to an end in a couple more books. I think it's time. I will say that I would LOVE to see a Cato/Eliza book and MUST HAVE a Fletch and Fifi book. Hoping that's where the last two take us.

I hope this series never ends

I can’t believe Emilia Finn can keep writing about the same world for so many books and I’m still just as intrigued as I was way back at book 1. I love the continued character development and maturation. I feel like I’m growing up right alongside them. She is brilliant and I can’t wait to read what’s next. This story with a murdered young person had some twists I never saw coming, but that’s no surprise because Emilia isn’t your basic suspense writer. Kudos!

emotional turmoil ahead

Minka is the best, her character is a amazingly grumpy. I honestly cannot get enough of her. She hides her emotions so she believes and with Archer by her side she can navigate these emotional situations.

So this has to be the most emotional book for Minka’s story I have read. We have Steve, who is having issues, then we finally see the blowup with Cato and how Minka deals with that bomb. We have Archer’s thoughts as well.

Overall this is an amazingly well written book of the series and I cannot wait to read the next one.

Summer has hit Copeland!

Summer gets hot hot hot in Copeland and it definitely made for some boiling over temps with some laughs mixed in and a few tears but it was all worth it in the end. Minka, Archer and the team are back solving another case while life intervenes at the craziest times. If you’ve read from the beginning, this one is gonna pull on your heart strings while watching the explosion we all knew was coming.

It only gets better with each book !!

5 Stars just aren’t enough, Emilia Finn is genius ! This is a must read series. Just when you think it can’t get any better, Emilia opens that fantastic mind of hers and BAM another amazing book. Arch and Minka and the whole Copeland crew are imbedded in my psyche at this point and I’m chewing my nails waiting the next one !! MUST READ SERIES !!

Another Great Installment

Emilia brings yet another great story to our Copeland crew! These characters just get more entrenched in my heart with every book. Cato is causing trouble like he always will and watching Minka deal with that makes me laugh. Probably because I don’t have younger siblings! I’m still loving this series and I’m so glad Emilia keeps giving us these stories.

I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much reading a book. Emilia is an auto buy for me every time. Minka and Archer ❤️ Getting ready for Aubree’s wedding. The stuff with Steve almost had me crying. Poor Ben and Molly. So many bad decisions. Cato Malone… I think he’s my favorite. I can’t wait for him to grow up and see who he’ll end up with. Thank goodness the next book is out in like 3 weeks.

First of all, love this series. Though this might be my least favorite book so far. The dialogue I usually find intriguing was irritating. I like when just one or two characters have a unique way of expressing themselves. In this book, EVERYONE spoke in these super long, drawn out, blunt, just lay it out there kind of way. I just couldn’t connect with them all doing it. Also didn’t feel this book had a purpose.

I love this series and always anticipate each book. However, Minka is on my nerves. At this point in the series she shouldn’t be so mean still. She is mean to everyone so why does everyone love her so much. She acts like a spoiled immature brat!! It’s her best friends wedding and she acts horrible about it. I love all the other characters.

Love this series. Cannot wait till the next one comes out. Full of laughter, sometimes tears and always some mystery to figure out. Which most times is not what I think I have figured out. Always a twist and turn. A must read series and hoping the author never quits writing Myat justice series. 10 stars if it was possible!!

Another winner by Emilia!

This book was so emotional, both heartbreaking and hilarious at times. Minka and Cato, Minka and Steve, Minka and Aubree and as always Minka and Archer, each scene was riveting. Cato made my heart hurt, made me laugh and also made me wanna throw things on Minka's behalf. This series just keeps getting better and better.

Love and laughter

What more can you ask for in a book… love and laughter… maybe a little spice and drama? Just like always, Emilia Finn gives us everything. Her books are like going home to visit the characters we know and love. It’s always the best read and I’m anxiously awaiting the next book in this series!

Love getting to see Archer and Minka continue to evolve. Add in Minka’s continued resistance on letting people know she cares, Cato’s longing for family, Fletch and Moo, Aubree and Tim, and all the other characters we have grown to love. Such great continuation of this series. Can’t wait till the next!!

This book touched my heart because Cato deserved that dang hug! He's just....sigh... I love this world you've created for us and these characters who stay with us long after the book is done.

Sinful Seduction, the 18th book of the Mayer Justices series, is another winner. There is a heatwave going on in the city. It is causing all kinds of chaos, a big scare, heated and happy feelings. It was a delightful read and I can’t wait for the next book.

as always amazing

I love these books so much, I never want minka and archer and friends to end. This is the build up to the wedding, and of course we can’t have minka and archer without a little homicide.

I enjoyed the book but some parts of Minka’s character development is irking me. I would be canceled for releasing these thoughts so I’ll just relax. Hopefully Tim and Aubrey’s wedding in the next book is worth it. This is the last book until June
