Anastacia I thought I was attending a wedding. But what I didn’t realise was that it was mine. Lorenzo Ricci is cold, commanding and the last man I’d ever choose. I’m told I’m his now, bound by a vow I never agreed to. But he’ll learn quickly enough that I don’t break, and I certainly don’t bow. Not even for him.
Lorenzo This marriage isn’t about love. It’s about power, control, and revenge. Anastacia Fedorov is the final piece in a plan I’ve spent years perfecting. She’s fire wrapped in silk, more defiant, and far more dangerous than I ever expected. I told myself I’d use her and walk away. But what I didn’t plan on, was wanting more.
If you love arranged marriage, mafia romance with a hero hell-bent on revenge, and a feisty heroine who keeps surprising him at every turn, you must check out this story! ♥
Anastacia is the kind of heroine you root for instantly and might just be one of my favorite heroines ever. She’s fierce, sassy, and so unapologetically bold. I loved how she never backed down, not even for Lorenzo. Her strength wasn’t just physical; it was in her presence, her words and the way she carried herself.
Lorenzo is cold, calculated and focused on revenge, but underneath all that, you could feel the simmering protectiveness. I'm obsessed with how he kept calling Ana 'wife' even when they were at each other’s throats. It felt intimate, raw, like no matter how hard he tried to stay in control, he couldn’t help the way he felt.
I’m such a sucker for the enemies-to-lovers trope, and this one hit every single beat perfectly. Their bond developed so naturally, and I must say how much I appreciated the emotional depth. The action and suspense kept my heart racing, but there were also these soft, quiet moments that were just perfect. I still have scenes replaying in my head.
When the plans start shifting, And feelings get in the way Will they still hate each other, Or give in to the chaos between them?
Anastacia Fedorov her name, her demeanour, her mind and everything about her is powerful. If you see her coming towards you, run, or kneel and beg for mercy. Loved her craziness, she’s so fierce, a literal Diva. She knew how to put Lorenzo in his rightful place and show him the queen she is.
“You’ve become my everything, and that scares the hell out of me, but in the best possible way.”
Lorenzo Ricci let me say that he learned his lesson the hard way. His character development was strong and I was so here for it. I love how he always calls her wife, even when he’s mad at her. It just feels like a very intimate nickname, even though their marriage was arranged.
The writing style was fabulous, you just wanna keep reading and never stop, certain scenes are still stuck in my head, I can’t wait to read more stuff from Samantha because she got me addicted.
If you love mafia romance, enemies to lovers, and arranged marriage tropes, this one’s for you! Our FMC is sass and strength wrapped into one, and the chemistry? Off the charts. The banter, the tension, the “I hate you but also want to kiss you” energy it was perfection. I’m a sucker for a good bad-boy redemption arc, and this delivered in spades. A solid, steamy mafia romance.
I loved Lorenzo and Anastacia. The development of their relationship was so good, from a strong loathing to a strong bond that was gradually formed and built to feelings that couldn't be denied. Lorenzo was a strong character who had plans for his arranged marriage to Anastacia, but Anastacia wasn't like anyone he had ever met, and her strong personality was exactly the kind of personality that was needed to help Lorenzo recover who he was before he went on his path of revenge. Anastacia was a strong, determined character who wasn't going to be anyone's trophy wife, and she had the determination to show Lorenzo that she could be his equal. This book had its suspenseful moments, but there were many moments that I absolutely loved, Ana bonding with Lorenzo's family and her grandmother were brilliant.
I love a good mafia arranged marriage romance, especially one where the fmc gives the mmc a run for his money. This book was incredibly fun to read and I loved it. As mafia arranged marriages usually occur, they get married because of a partnership or alliance between their families but he also wants revenge. I found the start genius, imagine going to a wedding only to find out it’s your own, to someone you hate! It’s pretty tense for the first half, lots of banter, lots of denial and lots and lots of Lorenzo royalling screwing up. I think up to about 70% it was amazing, so intensely exciting and I was hooked onto every page. The plot twists were very unexpected, but the problem is that they were all in the first 2/3rds of the book so the last third is a little underwhelming compared to earlier in the book. Although not as exciting it contained lots of cute moments and Lorenzo making up for being an idiot. There are some plot points I think could have been explained or had potential to be more than a brief mention and add more depth to the plot. Just leaving it where it is makes it seem not fully completed and has loose ends. I loved the characters, yes Lorenzo is an ahole at the start and has pretty extreme daddy issues, he’s a different person at the end and is so whipped. Anastasia is the epitome of a strong badass mafia queen, she’s an amazing fmc with so much personality. Overall, I enjoyed this book but it doesn’t stand out amongst the many other books I’ve read with similar tropes and main plot ideas. I give this a 3.5/5
This was a good story. I loved the characters, the growth they as well as their relationship had and the twists I didn’t see coming. Anastacia was a fierce FMC and I loved that. She had so much strength and faced everything thrown at her with a quick wit about her and a sassy reply always at the ready. Lorenzo was everything you’d typically expect. Harsh, demanding, protective and possessive but, also so much more. The way he comes to love, care for and protect what’s his will have you swooning and your heart melting. The relationship between Anastacia and Lorenzo despite the way things began was beautiful. I loved the way they were able to move forward from all that happened between their families and themselves. I enjoyed their banter and the chemistry between them was great. The spicy scenes…. So good. If you love dark mafia romance, enemies to lovers and arranged marriage you’ll enjoy this one.
The narration performed in duet by Alexis Paige and Sean Masters was so good. They will quickly grab and keep your attention with the way they bring the characters and story to life. Their voices fit the characters perfectly.

Thank you Blue Nose Audio for the opportunity to listen to this ALC!
Alexis Paige and Sean Masters, you guys made me feel like I was watching a movie. I’m obsessed 🥰
If you love anything mafia, romance, and enemies to lovers, add this to your TBR/TBL. You won’t be disappointed. It’s full of banter, family drama/secrets, main character vibes, and more!
I had the audiobook for this one. The narrators truly brought this to life! (Alexis Paige) She is extremely talented. She’s exactly who I imagined for this character (voice-wise). Her tone & vibes delivered the emotions she brought 🤌🏻 (Sean Masters) all I need to see is his name on something and I know you’re gonna deliver. He’s super talented. His voice acting made this character.
The storyline picks up right away. In the first chapter, you’re hooked! Just when you think you see all the banter, it comes right back! I loved the found family aspect we get to experience. The MMC will make you giggle, like a lot. Trust me when I say it’s top tier. The FMC you will love her right away. She’s well written just like the MMC. Both bring so much chaos, it’s like a sweet treat 😋
Overall, it’s very entertaining and enjoyable. The author did a great job of giving us a story with plot and everything else in between. Honestly, I can’t wait to dive into more work by the author and the narrators. As always, blue noses did an amazing job with this audio
Wow. This book was absolutely incredible. Phenomenal! This dark mafia romance follows the arranged marriage between two different mafia families, Anastacia and Lorenzo. Due to the nature of the arrangement, there is a lot of hostility between the two main characters. It is indeed a true enemies to lovers.
What I loved about this book was the banter! It was so much fun, and it added to the tension and chemistry between Anastacia and Lorenzo. They really did not hold any punches back, and would say some nasty things to each other. But to be honest, it just added to their sexual chemistry lol. I truly, truly loved Anastacia, because she is one badass, independent, fiery FMC who takes no shit from anyone. I love how she was able to handle herself, and how she can just be as ruthless as Lorenzo.
Lorenzo was such a broody, complex MMC, but I loved seeing him constantly question his attraction and connection towards Anastacia. It felt very natural and organic, and once he finally gave into his feelings, we were able to see what an incredible man he is! He truly would burn the world for Anastacia, and his love for her completely changed him into a better man. I loved his character development!
This book was so much fun to read, because the characters and relationship development was so divine!
ALC Review - This audiobook was SUCH a fun, addictive listen. I was hooked from the first chapter and didn’t want to stop. the story is dramatic, intense, and full of tension, and the audio just made everything hit harder. This is a mafia romance with an arranged marriage + enemies-to-lovers vibes. Anastacia is unexpectedly forced into marrying Lorenzo Ricci, a powerful and broody mafia boss who’s driven by revenge. She’s fierce, stubborn, and absolutely refuses to be controlled, which makes their dynamic explosive from the start. Expect banter, power struggles, tension, and a slow shift from hostility to something much deeper and softer. It’s dark, intense, and full of morally grey chaos in the best way. Now the audiobook narration deserves all the praise, Alexis as Anastacia was AMAZING, she captured Ana’s sass, strength, and attitude perfectly. Sean as Lorenzo was everything I want in a broody MMC, he was deep, controlled, and so intense, but with softer moments that really made the emotional scenes land. And the accents, they were SO good. They added so much atmosphere, Their back-and-forth banter sounded natural, and the chemistry translated beautifully through audio. I loved all of it; The tension, the banter, the spicy scenes, the emotional moments was *chefs kiss* If you love mafia romance, enemies-to-lovers, strong FMCs, and duet narration with great accents, this is 100% worth the listen
ARC review: This one starts with a bang — literally and figuratively. Arranged marriage in a mafia romance? Say less. Ana and Lorenzo’s dynamic was a total war zone of banter, tension, and heat.
Ana is ruthless, sharp-tongued, and totally unbothered by bloodshed. Honestly, I half-expected her to gut Lorenzo at the altar and walk away in heels. She talked dirty and acted even dirtier — iconic behavior, really.
And Lorenzo starts out blind with revenge but once she gets under his skin, it's game over. By the end, it’s a full-on HEA and I was here for it.
Thank you to the author and SunnyBabePR for the ARC — this is my honest review.
I have read this book three times and heads down 5 ⭐️ book I loved everything about this Lorenzo ugh I got to love good bad boy MC , and Ana I love her character she says it how it is , over all this book was amazing I’m friends with the author and i remember always getting so excited when she tells me process of this book !
If you are looking for mafia romance book this is for you 🩷
One thing is having a fierce/badass FMC, and another is having an ill-mannered, uncultured woman of angelic beauty who uses profanity way too much. It got to the point where I found this chick too clownish for my taste.
This was a decent audiobook, Sean Masters and Alexis Paige did an incredible job, the spicy scenes were spicinggggggg it just seemed unnecessarily long. I think if this book was around 100-150 pages less it would’ve been perfect.
Firstly, a bug thank you to @sunnybabepr and @samanthajayne.writes for allowing me the opportunity to review this book! 🥰
Lorenzo’s Claim was actually my first ever Mafia Romance and let me tell you- it did NOT disappoint 🤭🍒
It was fire and fury from the very first chapter, and I was LIVING for it- Anastacia’s rage was palpable, understandably, and I really felt for her when she was betrayed that way. Though I could not help but want to roll my eyes and give Lorenzo a good slap (and probably face a gun to my head!) because he was SO OBVIOUSLY head over heels it was hilarious- and he didn’t even realise it himself to begin with! 😆
I absolutely ADORED Lorenzo’s best friends/henchmen: Red, Emmet Finn and Gino. Red cracks me UP and I desperately need a romance on him 😭🙂↕️ I loved their playful and insta-friendly relationship with Ana, and how they 100% became part of her found family as much as Lorenzo did 🥹
Sidenote- you should have seen my face during a certain chapter 👀🤣 best way to describe it without spoilers is this: 😳🌶️🔪🩸
Overall, I really enjoyed my first taste of Mafia/Dark Romance- and can’t wait to read book two; Arturo’s Temptation next😍
❗️Some trigger warnings so please read them before proceeding ❤️🩹
Anastacia Fedorov is on her way to a mafia wedding. What she doesn't realise is that the nuptials will be hers. Her father has arranged for her to be married to fellow mafia boss Lorenzo Ricci, in order to cement an alliance. But Lorenzo doesn't want Anastacia - he wants to break her by enacting his revenge on her father. But what he doesn't expect is the unbreakable spirit of Ana, who couldn't care less about her father, and has every intention of driving Lorenzo insane with her feisty attitude and refusal to do as he demands. Will Lorenzo get the outcome he so desires - or will things develop in ways he doesn't expect?
This was a very enjoyable mafia romance, with the enemies-to-lovers and arranged marriage tropes in full force. Ana is a total badass, not afraid of anything or anyone - especially Lorenzo Ricci. Once the betrayal from her family has been confirmed, she has absolutely zero intention of doing anything anyone tells her to ever again. She defies Lorenzo at every opportunity, refusing to be cowed by him in any way - something he really hasn't counted on. He believes that by murdering her father, he will destroy her - but he hasn't counted on her disdain for her family, and especially her father. Whilst building up to the scenes where he plans to enact his revenge, Lorenzo is a complete asshole. He's rude, aggressive, demanding, possessive for all the wrong reasons, and throughout it, Ana pretty much laughs in his face (barring the hate Os he gives her). But when things don't go as intended, and Ana stuns him, his thoughts on her begin to change. When she goes missing, his initial anger at believing she has left turns to frantic panic, and a change in attitude towards her begins. And oh boy did my heart melt when he began to accept his feelings towards her! He went totally gooey and so did I.
The violence in this book is pretty graphic, so that's worth being aware of before you start. I found it to be very good quality (you know what I mean, some depictions of violence are laughable), gritty and gory whilst still sounding realistic. Some of the scenes will have you cringing because of who is on the end of it, but others will have you cheering like a feral human, knowing it was thoroughly justified.
The spice in this novel begins as a hate thing, really leaning into the enemies-to-lovers trope, but blossoms about halfway through. It's not super hot for the most part, but it's definitely not cool either. One scene definitely tips the scale though 🔥
Whilst the main characters were undoubtedly the focus of this novel, I thought Samantha Jayne created a supporting cast that really enhanced this story. Lorenzo's men are able to get around his orders just enough to become much needed allies to Ana, whilst quietly showing Lorenzo the error of his ways, despite his stubborn refusal to acknowledge it. Ana's family, with one exception, are absolutely dreadful and need to go in the bin. Lorenzo's Mama is a little powerhouse, a key figure in the story despite only appearing occasionally.
I absolutely loved the epilogues at the end of the book. I am a real sucker for a glimpse into the happily ever after, and these were beautiful snapshots. Despite the start from hell, they made it and I love that for them. This book showcased two characters thrown together in hate and determined to destroy each other - who find themselves fitting together like puzzle pieces. It is darkness, before the light starts to creep in and glow. I really enjoyed it.
💍🔥 A forced marriage, a revenge-driven mafia king, and a heroine who refuses to kneel. 🔥💍
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3.5/5) Spice-meter: 🌶️🌶️☆☆☆ (2/5) Audiobook: 🎧 Dual Series: Oaths and Betrayal, Book 1 (interconnected standalone) HEA: Yes
Lorenzo’s Claim is a bold, trope-forward mafia romance that throws you straight into chaos, power plays, and a marriage neither lead asked for. As a first taste of Samantha Jayne’s writing, this one makes a strong, messy, entertaining impression. It’s dramatic, tense, and driven by two characters who are far too stubborn to back down, which makes every interaction crackle with energy.
Showing up to what you think is a wedding, only to realize it’s yours? To a man you actively despise? That’s not just a plot hook, that’s a narrative mic drop. And from that moment on, the book leans hard into banter, control games, and emotional warfare that makes it impossible not to keep turning pages.
The Story
Anastacia Fedorov is handed over like a chess piece in a mafia revenge scheme, bound by vows she never chose and married to a man who plans to use her. Lorenzo Ricci is cold, calculating, and fueled by a long-burning vendetta. Their marriage isn’t about love, it’s about power and punishment.
But Anastacia is not built to submit. She’s fire, sharp-tongued and unbreakable, and she pushes back at every attempt to control her. Watching her refuse to bow, even when trapped in Lorenzo’s world, is one of the strongest parts of the story. Lorenzo, meanwhile, is all controlled brutality on the surface, but underneath it simmers with possessiveness and something dangerously close to devotion. The way he calls her “wife,” even when they’re at war, hits harder than it has any right to.
The first two-thirds are packed with twists, tension, and emotional whiplash. The final stretch slows down a bit compared to the explosive setup, but the ride getting there is intense, dramatic, and undeniably entertaining.
🎧 Narration
Performed in duet by Alexis Paige and Sean Masters, and this pairing absolutely brings the fire. Alexis Paige nails Anastacia’s bold, unyielding energy, while Sean Masters gives Lorenzo that deep, commanding presence that makes his possessiveness land just right. Together, they add weight, heat, and personality that elevate the entire story.
What I Liked
✔️ A fierce, unforgettable heroine ✔️ Enemies-to-lovers forced marriage tension ✔️ Lorenzo’s possessive “wife” energy ✔️ Banter and emotional warfare ✔️ Unexpected plot twists ✔️ Red, Emmet, Finn, and Gino stealing scenes
Tropes & Vibes
✔️ Arranged / Forced Marriage ✔️ Mafia Romance ✔️ Enemies to Lovers ✔️ Revenge Plot ✔️ Alpha MMC ✔️ Strong FMC ✔️ Found Family (henchmen edition)
Final Thoughts
Lorenzo’s Claim is dramatic, trope-heavy, and powered by two leads who refuse to be boring. Anastacia is the kind of heroine you root for instantly, and Lorenzo’s icy control melting into possessive devotion is deliciously messy. While the pacing softens near the end, the first part of the book is electric enough to carry it through.
A strong, spicy, and entertaining start to the Oaths and Betrayal world, and a very solid first impression of Samantha Jayne.
Morally Black. Emotionally Addictive. He Took Her—and the Story Went Dark.

This is Lorenzo and Anastacia story
💍 Anastacia Thought she was attending a wedding. But didn’t realise that it was hers. To the Lorenzo Ricci who’s cold, commanding and the last man she would ever choose. Only to be told she’ll be his by way of marriage. But bounded by a vow she would never agreed to if not for her father. Lorenzo wants her submission. And Anastacia, she has no intention to break, not even if her life depended upon it.
💍 Lorenzo He had a plan, one to scheme his way into a marriage that isn’t about love, but more about his ulterior motives. It’s about power, control, and the ultimate revenge. Arranging marriage to Anastacia Fedorov is the final piece of the game. But despite his friends and mother reservations and the niggling feeling. But Anastcia is fire wrapped in pure defiance, and way more dangerous than ever expected. Lorenzo plan was to use her, only. He didn’t count on things changing now that she’s his wife.
🎙️Listennnn 🎧 I Really thought I would ever Listen a book by my favorite narrators and not feel like throwing away my headphones. This. Girl. But. As The story picked up I dare to say that Alexis Paige .. gurl. You did a fantastic job mouthing that FMC!
And Sean Master. Well Damn sir…I live for how you breathe life into the MMC and other male side characters with such ferocity that it’s addictive! Both narrators have One of those voices I can’t seem to get enough of in my ears!
“This Audiobook Is a Sin I’d Repeat.”
Thoughts 💭 To be honest I had a hard time with the FMC, who goes around slapping bratty and stabby. I believe it was a bit over the top .. (I could be just me alone) but I just couldn’t connect to her character (for a while) which had me losing interest. Did I mention that it’s just For a bit though...? Sure she was maelstrom of violent defiance and disrespect, all because her father marry her off to a man she barely knew….but ..still …who am I kidding maybe I’m just a simp for the MMC or just about any morally grey men in general. Perhaps. But trust me .. this FMC and MMC were fire!

Anastacia is the kind of heroine you root for immediately and honestly, she may be one of my favorite FMCs ever. She’s fierce, sassy, and unapologetically bold in a way that completely commands the page. What I loved most is that she never backed down, not even for Lorenzo. Her strength isn’t just physical; it’s in her presence, her sharp words, and the confidence with which she carries herself. She knows who she is and refuses to shrink for anyone.
Lorenzo, on the other hand, is cold, calculated, and driven by revenge but beneath all that darkness is a simmering, undeniable protectiveness. I was obsessed with the way he kept calling Ana “wife,” even when they were constantly at each other’s throats. It felt intimate and raw, like no matter how hard he tried to stay in control, his feelings kept slipping through. The tension between them? Unreal.
This dark mafia romance follows an arranged marriage between two rival mafia families, and the hostility between Anastacia and Lorenzo is immediate and intense. This is true enemies-to-lovers done right. The banter was one of my favorite parts it was sharp, brutal, and so much fun. They didn’t hold back at all, saying the nastiest things to each other, but somehow it only amplified the tension and chemistry. Every interaction crackled.
Anastacia truly stole my heart. She’s a badass, independent, fiery FMC who takes absolutely no shit from anyone. I loved how capable and ruthless she could be just as dangerous as Lorenzo when needed. Speaking of Lorenzo, he’s such a broody, complex MMC, and watching him wrestle with his attraction and emotional connection to Ana felt incredibly natural. Once he finally gives in? Wow. He would burn the world for her, and his love for Anastacia genuinely transforms him into a better man. The character development was chef’s kiss.
What started as a cold alliance turns into real, powerful love, with both of them building something strong together. I’m honestly speechless. This story was everything.

Ana was a fantastic FMC who broke the mold of the typical mafia “princess.” I really appreciated that she didn’t simply bow to Lorenzo but instead showed strength, wit, and attitude throughout the story. Her character was so engaging and brought a fresh energy that made her scenes stand out. Lorenzo’s redemption arc was equally compelling; his journey from a flawed, stubborn man to someone willing to grow and grovel felt well-earned and authentic. The way his character softened and changed made the emotional stakes much higher.
♕ “...It took me too long to realize and appreciate what and who was in front of me…I’m done with wasting time. I want to change for you, and for us.” ♚
The banter in the first half was a real highlight. It built an enjoyable tension that perfectly set the stage for the explosive events in the second half. In fact, the book almost felt like two stories in one, with the tonal shift adding unexpected depth and complexity. This contrast made me appreciate the quieter, lighter moments of the first half all the more, knowing the weight they would carry later on.
♚ “Now be a good boy and make your wife c*me.” ♕
The dynamic between Ana and Lorenzo was incredibly entertaining to watch unfold. Their chemistry, conflicts, and gradual understanding made their relationship feel alive and multi-dimensional. It wasn’t a straightforward romance but one layered with challenges, growth, and heartfelt moments.
♕ “To the ones who swore they’d ruin us, only to end up on their knees, begging for our mercy instead!” ♚
My only small critique was that I wished the “where’s my wife” microtrope from Lorenzo’s POV had lasted a little longer; I’m a big fan of that particular moment and wanted to savor it more. Overall, though, this was a gripping, well-crafted story with strong characters and a satisfying emotional payoff.

Thank you SunnyBabePR for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review!
Anastacia attends a wedding of a ravel mafia boss, only upon arriving is she informed, it is her wedding. She never wanted an arranged marriage or to be married to a ruthless psychopath, Lorenzo. Only Lorenzo is only doing it for one thing, revenge for her father killing his father. Believing he was getting a “yes sir, no sir” Mafia princess that he could easily break down. Only it all came around and smacked him in the face when she turned out to be a cold, stone hearted girl that has been trained, by her grandfather, to be just as a ruthless kill as himself. Her father didn’t really care for her, in his eyes she was only brought into this world as a female to be used to marry off to whoever he sees fit. Let me tell you, when Ana first met Lorenzo and the way she spoke to him, I fell in love with her. The way she talks to Lorenzo with venom but is all nice and sweet to his men, I laughed. I know she was going to be a powerhouse but I was not expecting her to actually stab him. The ruthless mafia boss and she doesn’t think twice about the way she talks to him, even going as far as punching or slapping him, then the stab, I fell in love with her even more. Lorenzo believe that he can still break her and take his revenge, until it comes down to the day of taking his revenge, for Ana to surprise him. Then she gets kidnapped, even then she does not cower down, that girl was born to fight. Only while burning the city down to find her, does Lorenzo come to the realisation that he actually wants her to stay with him and work on their marriage, he wants to be a better man for her. I was kinda expecting who it was that kidnapped her, I got the slimily vibes from him. The first 10% I was unsure I wanted to carry on but once I hit that 11-12% I couldn’t stop reading, I was glued to the pages.
Lorenzo comes off as your typical “I own you” macho Don, all power and control. But Ana, she’s a badass FMC who shows no weakness and definitely isn’t afraid to bite back. So when she’s forced to marry Lorenzo to secure the alliance between their families… well, let’s just say she’s not the obedient little wife he thought he was getting. It's a battle of dominance, who will fold first...or in this case moan first.
I really enjoyed the writing style and loved the character both main and side but my biggest issue? The pacing felt off. The climax (pun fully intended) happened way too early, which left the second half of the story feeling flat.
Personally, I would’ve loved more emotional tension. I wanted to see Ana stand her ground longer, telling Lorenzo off even if deep down she wanted him. Her change of heart happened a little too fast for me. I loved her fire and wish it lasted longer before the inevitable “fk you to fk me” moment.
Because everything resolved so quickly, the second half of the story lost some of that tension and became about the different ways and places Ana and Lorenzo could get each other off.
The story itself is fun and spicy, but for me unlike Ana it narrowly missed the bullseye. That probably comes down to personal preference, though. I love when there’s more emotional build-up before the characters start tangling in the sheets. And in this story the emotional growth happens after which is still fun and very cute, especially if you like your stories extra spicy.
Red (one of Lorenzo's men is the MVP of this story)

The story of Anastacia Fedorov and Lorenzo Ricci is a captivating mafia romance that masterfully intertwines the enemies-to-lovers and arranged marriage tropes. Anastacia, or Ana, emerges as a formidable protagonist, embodying resilience and independence in the face of familial betrayal and a forced union. Her fiery spirit and refusal to submit to Lorenzo’s oppressive demands enrich the narrative, as she challenges his vengeful intentions. Lorenzo, initially portrayed as a ruthless and possessive antagonist, finds his expectations shattered by Ana’s indomitable will and eventual disdain for her family. As Ana defies him with wit and courage, the dynamics between them shift, revealing layers to Lorenzo’s character and setting the stage for unexpected developments. The supporting cast, including Lorenzo’s loyal yet subtly rebellious men and the formidable presence of Lorenzo’s mother, adds depth and intrigue to the plot, while Ana’s problematic family serves as a stark contrast to her strength. Samantha Jayne skilfully crafts a tale of tension, transformation, and unexpected alliances, making it a compelling read for any romance enthusiast. The duet performance by Alexis Paige and Sean Masters is nothing short of electrifying. With Alexis embodying Anastacia’s bold and unyielding energy, she brings a vibrant authenticity to the character that captivates audiences. Meanwhile, Sean infuses Lorenzo with a deep, commanding presence, perfectly capturing the intensity and possessiveness of the role. Together, their chemistry adds a dynamic weight and heat, breathing life into the narrative and elevating the entire story to new heights.
I don't read mafia romances as much as I used to, so it was truly nice to pick one up for a change, and I'm so glad it was Lorenzo's Claim because I LOVED it!!! 😍
When Lorenzo was first introduced, I was SO ready to bash up his character, because MAN was he MISOGYNISTIC and CONTROLLING! 🤦🏻♀️ He expected Anastacia to be some sort of lifeless porcelain doll, only there to serve as a trophy by his side 😒 I, however, liked his character development, and how he slowly started to let go of his narrow-minded beliefs. It took him some time to accept the fact that the woman he chose to wed would never be what he'd expected, and in the end, he ended up loving her for it ❤
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED Anastacia!! She was so strong and resilient 😍 the woman had been trained from a very young age to throw punches and wield blades, and unlike what the Italian mafioso had initially thought her to be, Ana was anything but easily breakable and fragile! She went through emotional and physical agony, but she kept her head high and refused to show any signs of weakness ❤
The two simply completed each other 👌🏻 Enzo wouldn't have lasted long with Ana had she been an innocent, shopaholic bratva princess. She brought out the best in him and knew how to put him in his place when he messed up. Lorenzo didn't have the best role model growing up, so it was no surprise his views of the opposite sex turned out to be so stone-headed and degrading. It was nice to see how both he and Anastacia fought to change his way of thinking little by little.
I’m speechless!!! This story was everything. It’s a re write of the original story & title Love me always. I’ve missed the Ricci’s and couldn’t wait to back into their world. The new plot is great and I enjoyed it. We have Ana our fierce fmc and Lorenzo a ruthless mafia leader. He’s set out on revenge for the man who killed his father. His plan was to form a marriage contract between his enemies daughter. What started out as a plan to marry her and break her for revenge, it turned into so much more that was beautifully unexpected. Lorenzo isn’t used to being challenged but he met his match with his wife. She doesn’t take any of his crap and gives him hell right back. The chemistry between them is 🥵. What started out as just an alliance turned into real love and each of them building something great together.

You’re my strength, my weakness, my everything. And I swear, I’ll spend the rest of my life making sure you never regret loving me.”-Lorenzo
Anastacia Ricci was the only person who I knew could save me. And just as well, I would be the one to save her.-Lorenzo
“That’s it, baby,” he groaned, his voice dripping with raw satisfaction. “Take every drop.”-Lorenzo
This book pulled me in right away with the enemies to lovers tension and the arranged marriage trope. The FMC was such a force, funny, fierce, and completely unafraid to stand her ground. Her sass had me laughing out loud, especially around the MMC’s friends. Their banter in the beginning was a highlight for me.
But around the halfway mark, when the main plot twist hit, I felt like things started to spiral. Some scenes didn’t quite connect, and a few moments especially the spice left me confused. The FMC mentions being a virgin early on, but that detail never comes up again when they sleep together. And the MMC’s… stamina made me raise an eyebrow once or twice. There were also little contradictions, like him thinking he wants to see her face while she moans his name… and then immediately having her turn around.
Despite that, the spice itself was hot, especially in the second half, which is why I gave it 3 🌶️. I just wish the emotional connection and romantic tension had been stretched out more. I was invested in the first half, but by the 60% mark I really had to push myself to finish.
I ended up giving this one 3 ⭐️. There was a lot of promise in the setup and characters, but the pacing and inconsistencies pulled me out of the story. That said, this is a new-to-me author, and I’d be open to giving her another shot to see if her writing grows on me.
If you enjoy mafia romance with a fiery heroine, this could still be one to check out.
Happy reading, everyone! 💜📚

ARC Review 🩷 That book is PERFECTION 💍❤️ Like really a perfection!! That storyline made me eat this book up! I have never enjoyed that enemies to lovers, spice, and even more than that. Lerenzo is the most stubborn but yet he couldn’t realised how amazing Ana would be and her…SHE NEVER SHOWED WEAKNESS……..Always sassy, she was funny with her comments, badass, never gave up with an argument toward Enzo….and their spicy moment was HOT and YUMMY YUMMY!!!! 🤤 so much worth it….Their Slow burn was Slow burning, the explicit murder, the knife play, long journey between the two are WORTH IT! Chapters are long but it’s so worth it like a movie, trust me! 💙💗!!! the previous book named Love Me Always is re-written and I love Lerenzo’s Claim better cause the title makes more sense based on how many times he called Ana “Wife” ever since he saw her for first time, Ana’s father sold her away in marriage, they didn’t care about her and just saw her as a ‘girl’ to get rid of and it’s so sad and made me angry. Victor is the most dislike after Chad who was lunatic!!! Okay say no more, check this book out, remember to read the trigger warning! If you love this book as much as I do, check her latest book Anteros Return by the same author! • Samantha, you are the best author ever, like your book is so masterpieces! I can’t wait for book two already in that serie! Love ya 💙💗 • Stars: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
This is the first book in the Oaths and Betrayals series, what appears to be a set of interconnected standalones (as the main couple in book one gets a HEA). This is a mafia dark romance so please take a look at the content warnings. Also please note, there are some dark romance related warnings not included in the content warning list in the book, such as bullying/emotional abuse (between main characters). Thank you to the author and Sunny Babe PR for my eArc.
Tropes and themes include: ✨Dark romance ✨Italian and Russian mafias ✨OTT possessive MMC ✨Forced proximity ✨Banter ✨”My wife” ✨Stabby FMC ✨Enemies to lovers ✨Forehead presses ✨Revenge ✨Groveling
Rating: 3.5/5 Stars 4/5 Flames
The Lovely: I loved the wicked banter and stabby vibes between the MMC and FMC. This meets my more stringent definition of enemies to lovers as the FMC does stab the MMC at one point. Super fun!
The Mundane: I struggled with the packing and flow of this book. The first half felt highly repetitive - they’d fight/argue and then give into lust over and over. The last quarter to a third was also repetitive but in a different way so I struggled to stay engaged in the story.
Recommendation: This was a dark story plus dark romance. The MMC is a walking red flag while the FMC is stubborn as can be. If you like that dynamic in a mafia romance world, I think you might like this book.
I GOBBLED this up 🤭 and I have no regrets. From the very first page, I was hooked. This book has everything I love in a dark romance — angst, tension, danger, and two insanely stubborn main characters who are practically made to destroy each other (or fall hopelessly in love… or both 👀).
Anastacia is a badass icon 🙂↕️ She’s fiery, fearless, and refuses to back down — even when she’s suddenly married to one of the most dangerous men in the world. Lorenzo is powerful and dreamy, but make no mistake, he’s also lethal. He’s a walking contradiction: soft for Ana and ruthless to everyone else, and I was living for every single second.
They hate each other. They’re married. They have insane chemistry. And the tension? Absolutely unbearable in the best way. Despite only being together a day, the slow burn and underlying attraction had me screaming. This is going to lead to absolute filth and I cannot wait 🔥
I love them so much oh my gosh. Lorenzo is such a softy for Anastacia but nobody else 🤭 and that is exactly the type of morally grey MMC I am obsessed with.
The pacing was perfect, the stakes were high, and the writing pulled me in so deep that I finished it in one sitting. I will definitely be picking up book 2 — I need more chaos, more angst, and way more Lorenzo & Ana.
