Our Chance is the companion story to Second Chance, and while I didn't love it quite as much as the first, I still gave it a high 4 stars!!

Nell and Damon were really fun characters, they were confident in who they were and they were happy with the relationship they had - even if it wasn't your typical relationship...however they both start wanting more from it and Nell isn't ready AT ALL.

I don't want to spoil this for anyone, but basically there is a lot going on in Nell's past that stops her from committing to Damon, and the angst of that definitely makes the story really interesting. The chemistry and tension between the two was really amazing!!

I'll definitely be reading more of Natasha Preston's books!

Good read minus the sex

The story was good and fairly well written however I wasn't looking to read a soft core pornography novel. This one was much different than the other books I've read by this author in that respect.

This book was amazing!!

****SPOILER*****

If you've read Second Chance, then you will love this continuation. This story line covers Damon and Nell. Friends since Uni, aka FWB's. For six years they used one another to satisfy their needs but as they got older and after Watching Chloe and Logan grow closer and finally walk down the aisle they realize that they too want the same thing. Damon is hopelessly in love with Nell, but getting through her walls is tougher than he had anticipated. Nell, projects the perfect image but she is scarred by the relationships in her family. While she wants more out of life, she realizes that she won't get far without opening herself up and sharing her weaknesses which turns out to be more frightening than she'd expected. Round and round they go in this cycle of being friends with benefits but also being more to one another until Nell hits a breaking point. Until she loses someone so close to her that she spirals into a dark place. Damon is the only one who can get through to her.

I hope you enjoy this novel as much as I have. I will continue on with the rest of Natasha Preston's collections, being the hopeless romantic I am.

Why why why haven't I read this book until now?
After reading the first book for this series (Second Chance) and loving Logan and Chloe with their drama filled journey why would I not think to jump into Nells story straight after??
Anyway Nell and Damon and friends with benefits..no feelings.. nothing more than this and definitely no future for them... but but happens when things start to change?
Love these guys together, the banter and comedy one liners that they exchange are so funny and kept me hooked on flipping those pages.
But despite all the light hearted laughter it's not all plainsailing and these guys experience some heart breaking issues too.
Was praying with all I had for the story to go a certain way and I'm so happy with ipw it turned out.
Yet another fantastic Natasha Preston read!

A great read

Really enjoyed how the characters unfolded and love changed the story. Passion, sex, fear, heartache and much more... Loved the ending!

This book had me panting, gasping and raving like a madwoman. The twists and turns were so unexpected and the emotion that this book wretched out of me was equally shocking. How can I encapsulate in a review the loving warmth the words in this book blanketed me in? Suffice to say, this book is so fucking good.

I hadn’t read the first in this series, but they’re each a standalone – so don’t worry if you haven’t. Of course, now I want to read all of Natasha’s books. This dual POV kept me glued to the pages. The characters are completely likeable, the passion is intense (Nell and Damon are practically rabbits), and the drama threw me for such an incredible loop that I could.not.put.it.down.

I think it was about 60% in when I lost my shit. I had to take deep breaths for fear that I was going to reach through the pages and twist off Damon’s balls. Sweet mother of fuck, I was angry. AND YET I WAS STILL ON HIS SIDE. How?! What?! Who?! This story tweaked and twisted until I was upside down. I so loved that.

Nell’s reluctance for a relationship is all explained by the end and it completely caught me off guard. Usually I can spy a storyline from a mile away, but this one surprised me. Nell’s independent spirit is fostered by the love of her friends, Chloe and Logan, and her fuck-buddy-turned-more?-maybe?, Damon. She’s funny, witty, and super snarky. Just like Damon, I couldn’t get enough her Nell – even when she was being difficult.

This book is written well. It’s made up of beautifully crafted characters, who each lean upon the other in a vital way, and each scene pushes purposefully to the next. I fell into this story and lost track of time, space and even my husband. It was awesome.

That ending had me foolishly grinning – so well done, Natasha. You deserve every single one of those five stars!

Will they won’t they? Two very different side of love, the sickly happy couple and the passionately intense ‘friends with benefits’.

Even with true love right in from of her face with her best friend Chloe marrying her sweetheart Logan, the struggle for the main character Nell to realise what true love is, is heart breaking. Her struggle comes from a very turbulent childhood with her warring parents, and because of this Nell refuses to fall in love and lead the happy life. Until Damon comes along. Then feelings get confused and the drama and sex unfolds.

I could feel Nell’s pain throughout the book which brought me to tears at times but laughed along with her when Damon made her smile. The huge reveal as to why Nell is the way she is and her relationship with her parents really pulls at the heart strings as we unravel more and more about her.

Nell and Damon’s first trip away was definitely my favourite part of the book, their thoughts and intense feelings where obvious through the writer’s words. The way Natasha Preston changed point of view from Nell to Damon between chapters really amplified just how intense their weekend was and the feelings that they had for each other. The sex was passionate and intense and gave me goose bumps during the course of the book (there was a lot, and it was HOT!).

If I could keep Damon for myself I would, he is sexy tattooed and very much my type, who knew a man could have such intense feelings and patience, Nell is a very lucky lady.

To all women who love a good love story with plenty of downright dirty sex read this book you will not be disappointed.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book from the Author.

If you haven't already read Second Chance do so now before you start this!

I absolutely loved Second Chance - Chloe and Logan's story, so I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into this one! This is Nell and Damons story, Nell is Chloe's best friend. Nell and Damon have been having a 'friends with benefits' relationship for years, but what happens when one of the two players decides they want more? Nell is not your normal woman wanting marriage and children- she doesn't want any of that, and poor Damon is going to try and change her mind! But Nell has seen first hand how destructive relationships can be and doesn't want that to happen to her- she's a strong woman and has her mind made up! Read to see if Damon will ever get the girl or will he have to give up on the woman he loves?

Absolutely amazing story! Loved getting to see a glimpse into Chloe and Logan's life again! Secrets are revealed, tears will be shed and don't forget the hot hot hot steamy scenes! These two have some amazing chemistry! This story kept me on the edge of my seat biting my nails throughout.

Well done Natasha Preston you took me on a roller-coaster ride of emotions with this book and I loved every minute of it! Five stars!

Nell and Damon are friends, with benefits. For 6 years they have been having casual sex and bantering back and forth. Nell has a dysfunctional family that have tainted her outlook on life, she is petrified of relationships and commitments. After a dreadful accident that is out of her hands with she finally put her demons to rest and look at the future with new hope?

Whoaa....wow...absolutely incredible! jeepers. This book had me engrossed from the start and had me roaring with laughter throughout. I cried, yes I cried my damn heart out....twice! This book will bring forth emotions within you that you didn't realise you had. The sex is HAWT! And....Damon is hot, sexy and tattooed......what more do you want? I've met Natasha Preston twice and she's lovely, I'm so glad I finally got to read this and look forward to reading more from this author. But 2 things...a few times I found 'thorough' instead of 'through' and one time found 'isle' instead of 'aisle'. This in no way reflects my review, just thought I'd mention it.

Aimed at audiences of 18+ with strong, hot and steamy, sex scenes not suitable for younger audiences.

I really should have read this book sooner. I'm not quite sure why I haven't until now but I am so pleased that I have. I absolutely loved Second Chance, and although it is a different couple's story I would recommend that you read it before this one as Logan and Chloe feature in this book too, and Our Chance continues where the first book ends.

I love Nell. In Second Chance she showed me what a fabulous person she really is and I loved getting to know her more in this book. Damon is just someone who I want to keep all for myself and I'm certain you will fall for him too when you get to know him. Nell and Damon don't have a conventional relationship but it is one that they entered into which suited them, and seeing the changes in them both as the story progressed had me on the edge of my seat wondering how things were going to play out.

This book had everything I could have asked for. It is a great story with great characters, plus I loved spending more time with Logan and Chloe, and I really hope that this isn't the last we will see of them all. I would give 4.5 stars to Our Chance, and recommend it to you all without a second thought.

If I am totally honest - I somehow could not relate to Nell at all. The first part of the book it felt strange how she was acting all against relationships, because she is not the first person in that position. Later after receiving more informations about her background I should have been able to relate better with her but it felt throughout the whole book that we got off on a bad start and unfortunately that did not change.

Still this author has an enganging writing style and I am sure others will love the story and it is just me being the odd one out here ... therefore I would still like to recommend this book to you.

A well written story, loved that we still saw Chloe and Logan throughout all of it. Not sure who's story I love most, they're both great! Natasha Preston really knows how to write amazing male characters, and the females as well, her protagonists aren't annoying and nag-y as most of the books I've read. Nell's reactions and fears were understandable and I share some of her same doubts. Damon was perfect though, well aside from one thing that I didn't like at all and thought unnecessary. Other than that though I think he handled the situation well and approached Nell in the way she needed. I recommend you guys read both Second Chance (book #1) and Our Chance (book #2) because they are both great!!!

Nell and Damon have had a 'friends with benefits' relationship for years. Things have been going well for years as long as they stick to the rules of keeping it very casual. But what happens when Damon realizes he is in love with Nell and wants more? Nell is very anti-relationship and has gone to great lengths to hide her reasons why, even to her closest friends. So, what will happen if Damon decides to change 'the rules'?

This is the first book of Natasha Preston that I have read and I really enjoyed it. While this is the second in a series, it can be read as a stand alone book. I liked this story so much I want to go back and read the first book that tells the story of Chloe and Logan. This book was sexy and well told. I was rooting for Damon and Nell to work out.

Loved this book, seeing how Nell slowly let her self be open to love, even though everyone in her family seems to have screwed up their own. She has spent her life trying to keep away from love so it cant hurt her the way it hurts everyone.
Damon, also happy to live his life with a different women in his bed when he feels like it. This seems like the perfect situation for this couple. No expectations, no ties and definitely no chance of falling in love. Or so they think.
I have read most of Natasha’s books and have never once been disappointed, I cant wait to see what comes next from this talented lady.

I was fortunate enough to receive an ARC of this book. I love Natasha's books and this wasn't any different. Although I did feel like it was a little boring at times but other than that, it was nice. It follows the story of a girl whose past prevents her from being emotionally involved with anyone and her journey to overcoming her fear.

This was a really good story but just not great. I laughed cried and got annoyed with the characters during reading it, which normally proves what a good read it is, but it just struggled to live up to Second Chances for me.
