In the first book, Seaside Cowboy's Second Chance, we met Dallas and Skylar. Dallas has loved Skylar for years, but fifteen years ago she broke his heart when she left with no explanation. Now, Skylar is back to help her grandmother plan her wedding. Skylar wishes she could be planning her wedding to Dallas, but how could she ever get a second chance with him after all she's done? Both Dallas and Skylar have to relinquish the control of their lives to God and realize that only He can mend them. Once they realize their love for each other, will it be too late? This is soooo good, and has a few twists you won't see coming!!
In the second book, No Second Chance for a Cowboy, we meet Madeline and Brandon. Madeline broke Brandon's heart. When she gets amnesia after being hit over the head, Brandon says sarcastically that he's her boyfriend. Madeline thinks it meant it. The more time they spend together, the more the sparks start flying again. But what will Madeline do when she regains her memory? Brandon's not sure he can take another heartbreak, though he wants her to be happy more than anything. He also wants her to have a relationship with God, knowing that until that happens, they can't be together. Will Madeline be able to let Brandon in, or will she keep pushing him away? Will she realize how much she needs God, and let Him in, too?
In the third book, Season of Affection, we meet Matthew and Elizabeth. Matthew's been in love with Elizabeth since high school. When she comes back to their hometown for Christmas, he's wondering if they can get together. Elizabeth has a stalker, and so far no one can figure out who it is. She's been to the police, but they couldn't help. When her stalker follows her home, she's afraid she's put her family in danger. Matthew happens to be a PI, and decides to take over as Elizabeth's protector. Will he be able to figure out who her stalker is before something happens? I love the way that Elizabeth finally realizes that she didn't trust God with her dreams, but when she does, watch out!
In Whisper of Danger, we meet Lydia and Aidan. Lydia and Aidan have known each other all of their lives. Aidan had proposed after high school, Lydia had accepted, and then she broke their engagement, without telling him why. He's wondered for years, and though he's tried to forget her, he can't. It doesn't help that they share the same town, the same friends, and there's been no closure. Now that a child has been kidnapped, and they find out it's because of Lydia, Aidan will do all he can to protect her. Lydia has kept her secret for years, but now it has to come out. Will her friends and Aidan still stand by her, or will they leave her to face things on her own? Aidan and Lydia both learn some lessons through this difficulty, and come out stronger on the other side.
In Show Me a Second Chance, Mac is raising his daugher, Danica, as a single father. Her biological mother is an alcoholic, and didn't want to be bothered raising Danica. Mac didn't want her around their daughter. His daughter has run off babysitters, women who wanted a chance at being Mac's girlfriend, but when Kimberly comes back to town, Danica takes to her. When Mac finds out that Kimberly is an alcoholic, can he open his heart to her and trust her with his daughter? Kimberly drank to ease her pain. When she meets Mac again, and falls in love with his daughter, can she stay sober for their sakes? When she finally comes back to God, with His help, she can!!
In Badge of Honor, Chris and Melissa knew each other for years, and loved each other. Until Melissa went away to college. Chris now owns Honor Gym in their hometown. Melissa has come back into his life, and suffers from amnesia. Chris vows to help her find out who is after her. Melissa is falling for Chris all over again, and wants a second chance with him, even though she has no idea what happened before. When trouble finds them both at the same place and time, will they both survive to get their second chance, or is it too late for them?? I love how Chris depends on God, and how Melissa decides that she was the one who walked away from God, but wants back with Him, too. Melissa and Chris finally learn that they can't be in control of everything, and letting God be in control is best.

This is my voluntary review of a copy I was given.
These stories were all well written. They have great characters. The women tend to be strong and capable, and the men tend to be protective and capable. Instead of the stories showing that women need men to rescue them, they show that people need a partner. Most of the characters also rely on God for their strength and wisdom in handling tough situations.
Since the romances in this set were all second-chance, the characters didn't have to get to know each other. They had issues to overcome before they could reunite.

Good Action, Decent Reconciliation Stories
I had high hopes for this collection. The storylines were good, but the follow-through was so similar that by the second-to-last story, I felt like I’d read the books before. I even went to my library once and double checked that I hadn’t. Some of the grammar in the last couple stories was just not great. And for inspirational stories, they mostly didn’t hit that mark for me. I’ve had this issue with this author before and I think I’ll just move on.

Great collection of suspenseful stories that will keep you reading until the end. Alexa Verde always delivers with wonderful characters and wonderful storylines. I enjoyed reading all of them. I highly recommend all her books.

Another great boxset of previously published novels by Alexa Verde. Each book in this collection features a second chance at love for the main characters. The books are from Alexa's various series and are a wonderful sampling of her amazing writing and story-telling talent. This set provides hours of reading enjoyment.

This set of books is a great set of books full of family, mystery and romance. I enjoyed each of these books and the box set provides hours of good clean reading. I always enjoy this authors books and highly recommend them.

A wonderful set!
These books gave me hours of clean, enjoyable reading. The stories have drama, suspense, and danger as the couples find their way to a happy ending through faith. I received an advance copy but my review is honest and voluntary.

Another great boxset by Alexa that was well written with individual stories and unique stories, the common thread is romance and suspense. I thoroughly enjoyed these books. Get it for your collection to read again and again.

This set is awesome! I have read all these books and enjoyed every one of them. I love the second chance trope and adding in suspense just makes it that much better.

Enjoyable book with different storys
Good book, all individual story's though some were linked. Liked the hinted suspense and of course the romance, very enjoyable
