In the second book, No Second Chance for a Cowboy, we meet Madeline and Brandon. Madeline broke Brandon's heart. When she gets amnesia after being hit over the head, Brandon says sarcastically that he's her boyfriend. Madeline thinks it meant it. The more time they spend together, the more the sparks start flying again. But what will Madeline do when she regains her memory? Brandon's not sure he can take another heartbreak, though he wants her to be happy more than anything. He also wants her to have a relationship with God, knowing that until that happens, they can't be together. Will Madeline be able to let Brandon in, or will she keep pushing him away? Will she realize how much she needs God, and let Him in, too?
In the third book, Season of Affection, we meet Matthew and Elizabeth. Matthew's been in love with Elizabeth since high school. When she comes back to their hometown for Christmas, he's wondering if they can get together. Elizabeth has a stalker, and so far no one can figure out who it is. She's been to the police, but they couldn't help. When her stalker follows her home, she's afraid she's put her family in danger. Matthew happens to be a PI, and decides to take over as Elizabeth's protector. Will he be able to figure out who her stalker is before something happens? I love the way that Elizabeth finally realizes that she didn't trust God with her dreams, but when she does, watch out!
In Whisper of Danger, we meet Lydia and Aidan. Lydia and Aidan have known each other all of their lives. Aidan had proposed after high school, Lydia had accepted, and then she broke their engagement, without telling him why. He's wondered for years, and though he's tried to forget her, he can't. It doesn't help that they share the same town, the same friends, and there's been no closure. Now that a child has been kidnapped, and they find out it's because of Lydia, Aidan will do all he can to protect her. Lydia has kept her secret for years, but now it has to come out. Will her friends and Aidan still stand by her, or will they leave her to face things on her own? Aidan and Lydia both learn some lessons through this difficulty, and come out stronger on the other side.
In Show Me a Second Chance, Mac is raising his daugher, Danica, as a single father. Her biological mother is an alcoholic, and didn't want to be bothered raising Danica. Mac didn't want her around their daughter. His daughter has run off babysitters, women who wanted a chance at being Mac's girlfriend, but when Kimberly comes back to town, Danica takes to her. When Mac finds out that Kimberly is an alcoholic, can he open his heart to her and trust her with his daughter? Kimberly drank to ease her pain. When she meets Mac again, and falls in love with his daughter, can she stay sober for their sakes? When she finally comes back to God, with His help, she can!!

I love how Chris depends on God, and how Melissa decides that she was the one who walked away from God, but wants back with Him, too. Melissa and Chris finally learn that they can't be in control of everything, and letting God be in control is best.
