Lily Collingsworth has been absent from her family home for almost three years. She has finally come to terms with the news that sent her running from her family and the man she was engaged to marry. Now she's coming home to her family, but she knows that the love of her past can never be part of her future. Nate Proctor has loved Lily since she was eighteen years old. He never understood why she'd ended their engagement and left Collingsworth three years earlier. Hearing she has returned adds yet one more complication to his already complicated life. When he learns the true reason for her departure, he is forced to face some realities about the relationship they had for so many years. Though their engagement is over, dormant feelings are coming back to life and are not so easily ignored. Will their love this time around be strong enough to overcome past hurts and failures? Or will fear of what may lie ahead keep them from trusting each other and God?
Book six in the Home to Collingsworth series, another great read. Lily comes home after running away three years ago, she is dealing with a MS diagnosis. She has struggled with her disease, now her family and Nate (the fiance she left behind) has the struggle and the stress. It's a good emotional read, some tears- some joy.
I enjoyed reading about how Lily dealt with the disease she had. I never realized how this affects their lives. Reading Kimberly's books has shown me so much of dealing with problems in every day lives. Kimberly is a very good writer.
This series is so sweet, heart warming and heart wrenching all at the same time. It is so true to life in the ups and downs that often occur and to the path God has for each of us!!
This book had a lot of information in it. The two main character's have quite a few things to work out. There are scriptures and God's word in this book that I like. It gives you things to think about. Hope you enjoy this book as much as I have.
This was my favorite so far. Lily's struggle was so real. Thank you Ms. Jordan for sharing part of struggles with this disease, for the client, family members and friend. I am a registered nurse, have known clients with this diagnosis, and still didn't realize the intimate struggles they have.
Nate and Lily have a beautiful yet sad story. Hopefully love can.Conqueror all. Talk about needing faith and trust in Christ and each other is what this beautiful romantic story is all about. Beautifully written.
It's painful even thinking about what Lily went through or what she would encounter. I think the turning point in their relationship was when he felt that he needed to apologize.
While I loved the book, I am very sad to see this series end. I believe that Lily's story was the most poignant of all and it touched me deeply. There were several scenes in this book that had my teary eyed and on the edge of my seat all at the same time. All of Kimberly's books are ones that I hope to pass on to my daughters as they get older and understand the intricacies of relationships. I want them to see how God intends relationships to be and what true love looks like and how important forgiveness and second chances can be. Kimberly's books provide a clear picture of all these things. I will be reading this series again because it will be wonderful not to have to wait on the next book to come out. It will allow me to detect more of the nuances of the characters without having the time lapse between books.
Kimberly Rae Jordan is an amazing writer who makes her characters come to life. You feel the raw emotions personally and feel kinship with the characters of the six novels in this Collinsworth series. I found myself laughing with the characters and also feeling the pain and emotions so true to life I felt tears running down my face throughout these stories woven with faith and love! It was so heartwarming to feel how the characters dealt with their struggles with convictions of Christian faith.
I loved this book. My husband had MS and we lived with it for 35 years before he passed away at age 65 in 2012. This book was incredibly accurate and I appreciated that Kimberly Jordan didn't over dramatize the disease to move the plot along or over-emphasize the challenges. Recurring/Remitting MS is exactly as she described it. (My guess is that someone close to her has the disease.) This story dealt with the challenges but wasn't depressing. It is a difficult disease but we had a wonderful life and I'm glad she had the characters come together in the end.
Lily left Collingsworth abruptly a few years ago and her family never knew why. She has returned and is ready to share everything with the. But her ex-finance is now staying at the manor as well after his house burned down. She doesn't feel ready to face him and he hasn't been able to get over her as he had no sense of closure to their relationship. Can these two handle being around each other? I really enjoyed this story and it tugged at my heart strings.
I appreciated learning about M.S. through this story. To me, it wasn't quite as good as the first four books in the series. Though the feelings of the two main characters about their broken relationship are real life, it was too repetitive and I became bored with reading about their misconceptions of each other.
Lily was 18 when her grandmother died, but after years of staying in Collingsworth with her sisters she has to escape and find herself. When she returns 3 years later she discovers there's no place like home.
The last book in a series about sisters finding God and coming together to face challenges.
I have read every book on kindle that Kimberly Rae Jordan has wrote and have not been disappointed in any of them. Many great life/God lessons to learn from and apply to my life. I can't wait for the next book to come out.
Another WOW! This was the perfect possible end the series. So sweet, clean and an acceptance of what is thrown in Life. A love story based on loving someone wholly instead of seeing flaws. A truly beautiful love story.
It's hard to believe Kimberly Rae Jordan's books keep getting better and better! I laughed and cried and loved. Cannot wait for her next series to come out!
A good story about choices. Tessa chose to break her engagement and leave without giving the Real she did so. She returned after three years to ber family and the man who gone on with his who still loved her, but was afraid to start over.
