She’s looking for vengeance. He’s a vampire forging new powers. When a single bite brands them both, will bloodlust surrender to love?
Dahlia Rose Deveraux craves payback. Hidden from the world by her adoptive mother, the dhampir is determined to step out of the shadows and get rid of the savage who killed her only father figure. But when she crashes a diplomatic meeting and goads a red-haired stranger into a dance of flirtation and fangs, his touch lights an all-consuming fire.
Aiden O’Cillian walks the daylight like a god. An unslayable blood-sucker, he demands utter obedience—until sinking his teeth into a daring seductress leaves him in chaos. Left off-balance and addicted to her taste, the ancient vampire can’t shake the urge to chase the hazel-eyed beauty despite the threat she poses to a thousand-year truce.
Tangled up in danger and desire, Dahlia senses his demand for total loyalty could shatter her place in her faction, her mother’s favor, and the last pieces of her heart. And while Aiden will burn nations to keep the woman who undoes him, betrayal in his own court might turn his empire into ash.
When lust and war combust, will they risk everything for a blazing new love?

I have been jonsing for Aiden’s story. Praying for the day the unlovable would somehow find the one that thawed his cruel heart enough for him to love them and be loved in return. I racked my brains trying to figure out how the author could effectively pull off this feat, while still delivering a well written, nicely plotted love story. I mean, we’re talking Aiden here … amiright?!
Isabelle Aster did just that. Pairing Aiden with Dahlia’s fire was just what he needed. Not only is her back story intriguing, allowing a certain someone to become even more connected to the family they love, but she gives Mr-I-thought-was-irredeemable his soul back—even though hers is almost as black as his. And, here’s the shocker, my opinion of Aiden has gone from, “I hate him.” to “This poor, ignorant man … this complicated, confused, jaded, misunderstood, bitter, hurt, sexy, angry, beautiful man.”

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Omw what interesting, heart racing developments in the storyline. It took me a chapter or so to catch up with the characters as I read the previous book a while back, but was I totally hooked and read every available minute. The O'Cillian clan is a family of twisted secrets and family feuds. Dahlia is a dhampir raised by Runa, a formidable vampire, but her life and as such those around her, was all influenced by an age old truce with Aine O'Cillian. Dahlia thus carried a 150 year hatred for the O'Cillians especially Aiden. She a very strong MFC with sass, a conniving mind and a darkness that's quite the attraction for Aiden. More than enough spice and shocking revelations or truths. follow that will keep you riveted for hours. The end left me wanting to for more. (Ps a short synopsis of the main players would have been a good idea at the start?) I received an advanced review copy from the author and leave this review voluntary Thank you so much, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
With a love of vampire stories I delved into this one without reading the prior books. At first I really disliked Dahlia and Runa. Runa seemed to be keeping Dahlia hostage while she acted out by killing not just for food but out of anger. I also didn’t like Aiden. All he wanted to do is take over the world and kill his family. As the story progressed I became immune to their abrasive natures, but their stories fleshed out giving more background as to why. Unfortunately the background was confusing at times, probably due to not reading the prior novels.
The characters are written so angry. But was that anger and desire for revenge really warranted? In Dahlias case not really. Her hatred was predicated on a lie. However in the end she was the one to reach Aiden and bring him back to the family. A few areas were kind of awkward. One stuck out to me…after a killing Aiden takes Dahlia back to his home. It’s clear he was upset with the death but instead of talking about it they have super steamy sex. Not really the route I was expecting. The spice scenes were well written but at times were just….awkward in the timeline.
I wondered how all these vampires killed people with impunity, especially considering they went after anyone they came upon. You’d think the humans would buck the deaths. The vampires could compel people so why not do that and only take a bit without killing? After drinking from someone it constantly said they could feel that blood in their veins. Not exactly how ingestion works. Some of the mysteries introduced are left unanswered although it did not end on a cliffhanger. I will read the other books as I now want to know the backstories to the other brothers and their mates. I received the ARC directly from the author and gladly left the review.
Vampire’s Flame was my first experience with this series, as I haven’t read the first or second book, and I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to dive in. While there were moments where it was clear there was deeper history between characters, the story still stood strong enough to be enjoyed on its own.
The atmosphere is rich and seductive, filled with vampiric intrigue, danger, and smouldering tension. Isabelle Aster does a great job of creating a dark, fiery tone that pulls you into the world quickly and keeps the pages turning. The stakes feel high, and the emotional intensity adds depth to the story.
I really enjoyed the characters, especially their passion and inner conflicts. The romance burns hot, with sharp chemistry and dramatic moments that fit perfectly within the supernatural setting. Even without full context from earlier books, the emotional beats still landed and kept me invested.
There were a few points where I felt I might appreciate certain relationships or references more if I had read the previous books, but it never took away from the overall enjoyment. Instead, it made me curious to go back and start the series from the beginning.
Overall, Vampire’s Flame is an engaging, fiery read that delivers on drama, romance, and dark supernatural vibes.
Dark, Intense, and Unputdownable In Vampire’s Flame, Isabelle Aster delivers a standout third installment to The Elements of Blood and Fate series. The transformation of Aiden from a bitter villain to a misunderstood hero is beautifully handled, thanks to the fiery and formidable Dahlia. The world-building is rich with gothic atmosphere and family feuds, delivering plenty of spice and shocking revelations. Though a short "who’s who" synopsis at the beginning would have been a nice touch, the story itself is riveting. A must-read for fans of possessive anti-heroes and high-stakes supernatural drama. Highly recommended for fans of dark, spicy paranormal romance.
I have been waiting for Aiden's story for awhile. He was the secondary character that you just loved to hate. But secretly are in love with him. Now he's the MC, and he did not disappoint.
Dahlia is the perfect "flame" to get Aiden's heart "pumping". I didn't want to put this one down. Both of them gave off the touch them and die vibe. I loved it.
The emotional pull and tension throughout the read was there. The dark supernatural feel had me hooked. The family feuding that has been there since book one grows in depth and understanding.
I would highly recommend this book and this series to anyone into dark, gothic, vampiric and spicy reads.
Vampire’s Flame was a fun, addictive read. I really enjoyed the vampire lore and the tension between the characters—it kept me turning pages. The chemistry was there, and the story had just enough twists to keep things interesting. I’ll definitely be continuing the series.
